  • Here is an Ice recumbent trike that I have converted to electric assist using a Bafang 250w rear wheel hub electric conversion kit along with a 36v 15.6ah battery.
Ice Trikes are built in Falmouth, which is in my home county of Cornwall in the UK.

For anyone who wants an electric recumbent trike, this conversion was fairly straightforward. The only extra item I had to purchase was an extension lead for the pedal sensor.
The Bafang 250w hub motor is reliable, efficient and produces a reasonable amount of torque.
The 36v15.6ah battery I used, had a useful space to house the motor controller.
I have only ridden recumbent trikes a couple of times in the past, and having a small 250w electric hub motor really makes the experience even more enjoyable.
My next conversion will be an Ice Trike Adventure with Shimano Alfine 11 Di2 and a Tongsheng TSDZ2 torque sensing motor.
I will post a video of the trike when it is finished.
    Thanks for watching.

Nice.. I used the Bafang BBS02 48v 750w mid-drive on my AZUB T-Tris. I love it. Glad you are enjoying your beautiful ICE eTrike.
I wanted the ICE Trice because they are narrow enough to fit thru a standard doorway. I like the fact that your center of gravity and weight is very low. People make the mistake of putting the heavy battery up high on the rack, makes it very easy to flip over.

You have to have the Aston Rider trike kit placed very easily on any type of bike. It is only mounted by tightening a nut. I have the Pro kit a year ago without any problem! astonrider.com you find it
