I recorded this while i was on my italy tour. I know a lot of people were asking about the switch i made and how i felt after riding the TiFLY X for a while.
I’m just happy to see you turn on the petals again. Yeah one up on me. I haven’t even sat on my trike since Seattle to Portland bike ride I’m guessing it was around 2019 I’m at OverlandExpo right now and I actually forgot the trike in the front yard when I left, had to call a neighbor, and had them put it in the shed.
Good to know about the knee saver extension bolts. I got my trikes to try to strengthen and rehabilitate my knees. first time I heard of those. Thank you. I am amazed you are doing these travels with no help from electrical assist. I watched some of your videos a while back and was aware of the accident you had. It is scary with cars and trucks on the road. Straight aways are usually fine but inclined corners are a wild card. Very informative video. Covered a lot of details I had not thought about. You could add a velcro straps to your wider pedals for a bit more 'foot suck' protection.
BTW Matt.. you look good on it as well.. ! :). most don't realize how important Ackerman Steering is on a tadpole with tall (26") wheels.. Ackerman steering, when you are turning left, the left wheel takes a sharper turn, and it leans into the turn.. The right wheel takes a larger radius and remains perpendicular to the ground.. This helps keep either wheel in contact with the road and avoid skidding. The higher you are off the ground, the more important Ackerman Steering is. I love your new AZUB TiFLY X... Oh man......when you talked about peddle slippage and a leg and foot getting sucked under the trike......I got big time heebeeegeeevies!
I hope you never experienced that.
so far so good... never had my feet slip off...

Only $149.00 for pedals? Does someone sell titanium pedals for $1500? Does it ever end?
Did you fall off a bike as a kid?
18:52 Damn it's DK.
DK?

Pay attention to how 3 scammers passed behind you at 9 minutes 15 seconds.
The first one walked in a hoodie and he looked at you appraisingly, then a man with a jacket on his arm passed - he also assessed you as a victim.
And then, a third scammer passed with a purse over his shoulder.
And they all revolve around you. These are pickpockets.
Be careful, brother.
Thank you for the advice!
4:30. Guy is literally recording himself after being in an accident. I don't know whether to clap or shake my head.
Haha. What else am I gonna do? 😂

What's a novice gonna do?
Not to worry . . . I haven't begun to shift, yet!
Seems like the size and weight of this thing demand electric assistance.
not really.. i pedal it just fine.. but yea.. it is heavy
Granny gear huh???? I see you didn't get above your raising lol
Lol… isn’t that what it’s called?
@@JaYoeNation I've heard bunt low and double low lol
trikes suck. I letarally could write a complete essay why but i won't. Get a normal bike.
Because of your van I thought you were going to get a tiny trike light as diet helium.
How much weight do you have on it? With your gear and your self? And can you increase the weight limit? 😮
is there a reason why you don't prefer e-trikes?
Travel is a big reason. Impossible or incredibly difficult to fly with those sized batteries. Weight is another. Charging locations as well. But I’d love to have one down the road and integrate into the van.
@@JaYoeNation you can use GRIN Tech LI-GO batteries.. each of the stack/connect packs are only 100ah. so if you pack them separated, you can fly... they reassemble like LEGO's and 4 -12v packs become a 48v lithium battery. if you pack up 8 of them, you now have a back up battery.
What would be the largest trike, as far as dimensions for someone that’s 6’2” who would be the manufacturer could it be purchased in the US?👍🏽 thanks in advance, Retired veteran.🫡 be safe, be blessed👋🏾 new sign on from Chicago
