It's called shimming and doesn't work with all locks. Sometimes you have to do both sides of the hasp.
Lol, maybe on a $2 lock. My locks require a key to retract the locking pins. Thier not spring loaded. ..... On a cheep lock like that I would just heat it with a pocket blowtorch and turn the barrel with a screwdriver as the carrier will be plastic. Oops. Probably should of not said that.

I like how they always show cheap and flimsy padlocks instead of expensive, robust door locks.
This "open any lock" is bs.
You do realize that most padlocks, even expensive and/or bulky, are garbage that can be shimmed (like here), raked or simply bumped?
