This whole series of wonderful, informative programmes is simply FABULOUS and I really,really enjoyed - no, actually, I'd say LOVED - watching them all. This one taught me so much about this fabulous city I'm lucky enough to call home for over 50 years. I was stunned by how many things I was completely unaware of and how stunning and beautiful they all are. I felt quite ashamed by how little I actually know about my home city. This taught me so much and, like every one of Frank's programmes, I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you very, very much indeed for the effort put into making this brilliant episode (and all the others too) for me to learn from and enjoy. I am certain I will be re-watching them all many times in the future. Wonderful, simply wonderful ❤🤗👍

Amazing stuff. Liverpool has such a close tie to our American cousins. It was very pro confederate and sometimes referred to as the little confederacy. The Confederate States Navy ship CSS Shenandoah, under the command of Lieutenant commander James Waddell, surrendered in Liverpool some six months after the war had ended. She was formerly called Sea King, built on The River Clyde and registered in Liverpool, she is also known for firing The Last shot of The Civil War.
The best thing that was ever done in Liverpool was the Albert dock regeneration it was in dire straights
When I was a child I thought that that cathedral had been bombed during the war and that they were rebuilding it. I didn't know that it had never been fully built. I lived over on the other side of the river.

Should have been 3 cathedrals aswell the one that didn’t get built because of the war you should have went to the bluecoat building aswell mate
you misd one one the oldes telephones in one of the sand stone arches there are 2 chers at each said of the arches that wen the cathidrel is in full song you can wisper and hear each other clierly across the halls as it is in bede in the arch
