Thank you so much buddy , I am going to go threw the wheels like you did , I not have so much luck over the tire . 1300 miles to Vancouver Washington , Trailer like yours and all most same white car. Great video . 😃
Around the tire yes, through the rim never unless ur taking a car to the junk yard,. There are only 2 ways allowed by the trade to strap a car down, around or over the tire. Never through the rim or any other point of the car.
Glad I watched the entire video before commenting. I was going to ask you about those ramps! How do you like the fold down ramps overall? I’ve been kicking around the idea of buying the tilt trailer versus one like yours.
I like that the fold down ramps are fast to put up and put away, however when they are in the upright position they do get in the way if you have a longer vehicle like a pickup truck loaded and overhanging the rear of the trailer a little bit.
This is nice. I have a trailer that was a flatbed converted to a hauler. Id like to use it for both and noticed there were no tie down spots. With your way, I can use those types for hauling my vehicles.
Hey I really enjoyed your first 3 videos and check back every few weeks to make sure I haven't missed any. What have you been up to, still at it?....any updates?
Hey, thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoy them. I am still at it and have moved over 100 vehicles since I started this channel. I will have to start making more videos of it again!
I’ve always used the control arms and rear axles and crossed the straps on both ends. Ultra secure and a pain in the butt.. especially fronts on an 18’ trailer
@@CP-ux9zd I've also strapped cars like that in the past, and sometimes I still use that method on trucks. I prefer strapping the wheels down rather than the control arms, because then the vehicle's suspension can move freely.
You can use either method that I showed. I generally use the 'through the wheel' method any time possible. However, if there are no openings in the wheel, go over the tire. Or if you do not want the strap to contact the wheel. For example if its a polished wheel or a nice new wheel, go over the tire.
trailer will be attached to a RV w/ a 24valve Cummins pusher when towing the f150, but will be towed by the f150 or a Silverado 1500 for smaller cars and trucks
You can also use laso straps to tie down the F150 or similar pickup's onto a trailer. Instead of going throught the wheels, you can put the lasso end arround the rear axle tube and strap it towards the rear of the trailer. In the front, you can put the lasso around the front control arm and strap it to the front of the trailer.
On the first way that I showed, the strap just loops around the back side of the wheel. On the second way that I showed, it loops through the rim. I can clarify some more if you have a specific question of how it loops. Please feel free to ask.
I have transported over 100 vehicles with this methods this past year. No issues. It is exactly how the manufacturer of the straps show to use them. Please see on Vulcan's RUclips channel.
That went cinematic suddenly. And great tips!

I hope you had a good trip!
Nice job I'm now sold on your style of tie downs.
I would love to see a video on how you book the loads and where to find a trailer like the one you use!
great video and music Loki!
Thank you, I will have to make more videos!

Unless it’s a heavy duty truck chains 4 points
That was great.
Did you do one on the ramps?
I noticed the wood and I need to do the same thing to mine

It so nice you show how to damage wheels 🤪

Im glad that this might be able to help you. Let me know how it works out for you.
I’m currently a corrections officer doing it for capital to get in hotshotting. I hope I can get some knowledge from you later on
It sounds like you have great plans!
Nice! Thanks for the information.
I appreciate the awesome info in the video. What size trailer are you using? Thanks!
This is an 18' trailer.
show me this setup after an emergency stop
Nice short video
Thanks boss

@@lokisshipping2454 Your channel will take off if you keep uploading! Good to hear you are still at it! Keep on keeping on!
Do you have less confidence in the “over the tire” method? Because that certainly seems easier and quicker.
I’ve always used the control arms and rear axles and crossed the straps on both ends. Ultra secure and a pain in the butt.. especially fronts on an 18’ trailer
With a shield
I prefer to go through the wheel. It is a little more secure and it's actually faster to loop through the wheel than around the back of the tire.
@@CP-ux9zd I've also strapped cars like that in the past, and sometimes I still use that method on trucks. I prefer strapping the wheels down rather than the control arms, because then the vehicle's suspension can move freely.
What’s that drop hitch rated for?
What size take out that, looks like a perfect size for hauling single cars
It's an 18' trailer.
Does it matter which way you strap? I noticed the way you did it at 1:30 is different from the end of the video

ok, how would you setup a trailer for hauling similar to the suv and cars, up to say a f150 quad 4x4 cab 6.5 w/ foot box?

I have a ford Explorer 2017 3.7 can I loaded or towed a suv like Lincoln or 21 explorer
I wouldn’t.
I don't recommend towing a vehicle with it. I suggest that you rent or borrow a pickup truck to tow with if its just occasional.
Where can you buy these?
You can buy them online from Vulcan.
👍👍👍
😄
You guys need to explain inside the strap not just the outside I’m not understand where the loops
On the first way that I showed, the strap just loops around the back side of the wheel. On the second way that I showed, it loops through the rim.
I can clarify some more if you have a specific question of how it loops. Please feel free to ask.
Makes video about tying the car down, and shows the 2 worst ways to do it. Nice, lol.
Neither method you showed was done correctly. I hope you don't do this a lot...
Elaborate
Around the tire is exactly how Vulcan shows to use that tie down strap I agree tell use what is wrong in your opinion
I have transported over 100 vehicles with this methods this past year. No issues. It is exactly how the manufacturer of the straps show to use them. Please see on Vulcan's RUclips channel.
This account goes around youtube on these videos telling everyone it was done wrong.
Haha, trolling 😄
