I thought of another passage that goes along with the question of "what does it mean to worship God in Spirit and in Truth?" - What is the greatest commandment? Matthew 22:36-40
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” - this passage encapsulates the entire reference that we should "worship God in Spirit and in truth.
    Meditate on that for awhile!

Exactly, because the passage you're referencing is *NOT* the rapture. Seriously...go ahead and line up side/side *I Thess 4* & *I Cor 15* to let's say *Matt 24,* OK? Start to list out what you find that's similar, OK? Now...
Right beside the column where you find similarities, go back thru the passages and list out the DIFFERENCES between the two...are you with me? What you'll find is some _STARK_ distinctions between the two, and WHY? They describe two *DIFFERENT* events. S/thing to keep in mind, be it scripture, or while you're out grocery shopping...
*=====>* SIMILARITIES DO NOT EQUAL SAMENESS *

@@Tenisio144RPA If you're sincere, I would applaud you, and forgive me for thinking this, but I'm "thinking" you're just offering the words to blow me off so to speak, and you've bought into what they're saying, hook, line & sinker. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but look...
Your reference even to people being "GATHERED" from the 4 winds, is PROPHESY conerncing the Jews! The rapture takes place PRIOR to Christ's 2nd coming. Here's the prophesy...
      • *Isaiah 27:12* “And it shall come to pass in that day…ye shall be GATHERED one by one, O ye children of Israel. =====> LOOK WHO IT IS THAT IS TO BE GATHERED, "CHILDREN OF ISRAEL!
That prophesy is also found in *Isaiah 43:5,6…*
      • “Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the *EAST* and gather thee from the *WEST;* I will say to the *NORTH* give up; and to the *SOUTH,* Keep not back: bring my sons from *FAR,* and my daughters from the *ENDS OF THE EARTH”*
On and on I could go with scripture to support just what it is I am trying to get across in this short post. The "GATHERING" that is found in *Matt 24* is all about the Jews. In *Matt 23* Jesus STARTS the discourse by saying, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem..." He says He has LONGED to "gather" them time and time again, but they refused.
The tribulation is God's last ditch effort so to speak to get them to turn to Him.
*Matt **23:37**-39* says this, 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! =====> WHO has killed the prophets? Certainly not church age saints! Again, it is Christ who has LONGED to gather them but they've refused.
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. =====> WHOSE house is left desolate? Think about it.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. =====> And here it's clear that it is the JEWS who will say, "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord", and *THIS IS PROPHESY* that has yet to be fulfilled. This is found in *PSALM 118:26* where it says, "Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord."
      PLEASE STUDY.

@@Tenisio144RPA So glad you asked! :) Say...before I forget, your name is unusual (I love it!)...what nationality are you, and where is it you live? A/ways, let's look at a few verses to help bring things into a better u/standing. BTW, nearly *EVERY* verse in the Olivet Discourse could be broken down and elaborated further, but to the two points you brought up...
*Matt **24:31* says, "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
When words/phrases are simply LIFTED from their *CONTEXT,* that's called *C O N T E X T O M Y.* The passage has ZERO to do with church age saints, and we need that to be established before we get out of the gate. A thread in YT isn't sufficient to make the case, but *MUCH* could be stated that validates that. But to your point about just *WHO* it is being gathered, i.e. the "ELECT".
First off, "ELECT" is not a technical word, meaning, that it does NOT mean the same thing e/time we see it.. We can't ASSUME it means church age believers every time. The *POST-tribulation* position must make it so if they're to find any support for the position. I maybe shouldn't begin here, but let's establish just WHO "ELECT" can also be...
*Deut 7:6* “God hath CHOSEN thee to be a special people unto himself”
*Deut 14:2* “The LORD hath CHOSEN thee to be a peculiar people unto Himself”I
*I Chr **16:13* “O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his CHOSEN ones!”
*Ps **33:12* “The people whom he hath CHOSEN for his own inheritance”
*Ps 105:6* “O ye Seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his CHOSEN”
*Ps 105:43* “He brought forth his people with joy, and his CHOSEN with gladness”
*Ps 135:4* “For the LORD hath CHOSEN Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure”
*Isa **43:10* “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have CHOSEN…”
*Isa **43:20* “…I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert...my CHOSEN”
*Isa 45:4* “For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine ELECT…”
*Isa 65:9* “I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob… mine ELECT shall inherit it”
*Isa 65:22* “… the days of my people, and mine ELECT shall long enjoy the work of their hands”
In o/words, there are TWO groups of "elect" people...church age believers, AND the Jews. So when we see the word used in any given passage, it's the *CONTEXT* that must be established before proceeding.
Those that have to be "GATHERED" in *Matt 24* are those that have been "SCATTERED"...that only makes sense, and as you know, the Jews have been a “SCATTERED” people…
*Neh 1:8* “…I will SCATTER you abroad among the nations”.
*Ez **5:10* “…and the whole remnant of thee will I SCATTER into ALL THE WINDS”
*Ez **17:21* “…and they that remain shall be SCATTERED toward all winds…”
*Zech 2;6* “…for I have SPREAD you abroad AS THE FOUR WINDS of the heaven, saith the LORD.”
*=====>* Notice the reference to "ALL" winds & "FOUR" winds? ** Now compare that with what's found in *Matt **24:31* *

48:42 i think that the rich young ruler was kind of legalistic in his obedience of the law. he thought that he was obeying the law by keeping only the letter of the law. but he was exposed as lacking in love and care for others in his law-keeping. he lacked consideration for others. he observed the letter but the spirit of the law was taken for granted. not doing others harm, as the letter of the law says, is good but love is also best expressed in doing others good. not stealing from others is good but sharing to others what we have makes our law-keeping more perfect. this is what the gentleman lacked.

Didn't Jesus tell Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:9,10? God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5! No more wickedness on earth, Psalms 37:9-11! After Armageddon the meek will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalms 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22! The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11! Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29! There will only be one government over the entire earth forever, Daniel 2:44! Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14! Soon Jesus will make sure that God's Will is done on earth as it is in heaven , will you be there to see it? John 4:22-24; John 17:3; Isaiah 42:8!

I'm not sure I u/stand all you said, or WHEN you're saying all of this it to come about as far as Christ's kingdom & its relation to end times. You stated, _"God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King"._
Christ will set up an EARTHLY kingdom where He will rule some day if that is what you mean? That takes place BTW @ the conclusion of the 7yr tribulation period. *Dan **2:44* "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed...and it shall stand for ever."
Christ is not ruling @ the present moment in some "spiritual/heavenly" sense up in heaven on David's throne. No, rather He will LITERALLY establish His kingdom here on earth upon His 2nd coming.

@@Kman. The rest of Revelation as well as other text of the Christian Greek Scriptures show that Jesus Christ and his joint heirs of the Kingdom will rule in heaven, which is the throne of God, whereas the earth is merely the footstool and therefore not the place for the glorified Christ to rule. Consistent translators who render things contextually will therefore render this expression as "over the earth".

When reading *Luke 17* where we see Christ talking about 2 in the field/2 in bed/2 at the mill/etc, the disciples wanted to know where the ones that will be "TAKEN", will be taken "TO", because it's u/stood by e/one, that the ones that REMAIN, will remain right there, i.e. in the field, in bed, etc. Those that are TAKEN will be taken away to JUDGMENT, but the ones that STAY, will remain for Christ's millennial reign. *Luke 17:37,* "And they answered and said unto him, *WHERE LORD?* And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together."
Nothing in scripture mentions that the ones that remain will later on be "TAKEN" anywhere (to heaven or a/where for that matter)...no, those that are TAKEN are taken away to judgment, and the ones remaining, remain on earth. Those that are "TAKEN" are spoken of in *Rev 19:17* where it tells us of the "supper of the great God" when the fowls of the air feast on the corpses of the dead.
You'll recall from *Matt 4* where we read, "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him _ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD,"_ and the great battle to unfold in *Revelation,* is when Christ wrests power from satan over this *EARTH...* that which satan CURRENTLY controls. _Ahhhh,_ but what prophesy is there to be fulfilled?
=====> *Isaiah 2:2,3* "And it shall come to pass _in the last days,_ that THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD'S HOUSE shall be established IN THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAINS, and shall be exalted above the HILLS; and *all nations* shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and LET US GO UP TO THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD FROM JERUSALEM."
*No disrespect, but one can't try to "spiritualize" select things just to make things fit their theology.*
=====> *Isaiah 14:1,2* "For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them IN THEIR OWN LAND...And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them IN THE LAND..."
=====> *Luke 1:31,32* "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him THE THRONE OF HIS FATHER DAVID"
*ALERT=====>* David had an ACTUAL throne, and it WAS in Jerusalem. You can't take that LITERALLY, & then try to SPIRITUALIZE the throne that Christ will one day have just to try to support a teaching. It's literal, and it will be here on earth just as scripture teaches us.
=====> *Dan **2:44* "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven SET UP A KINGDOM..."
=====> *Rev 5:10* "“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign ON the earth.”
These next 2 verses speak clearly to the point, that Christ WILL rule, FROM Jerusalem @ the 2nd advent:
=====> *Matt **19:28* "the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
=====> "Matt 25:31* "...the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:"
And all the above _CIRCLES BACK_ to what was initially stated in your initial post when you asked whether or not Christians are to pray for God's kingdom to come, "on earth, as it is in heaven", *Matt 6,* because you CAN'T have a kingdom, till you inaugurate the KING, and THAT doesn't happen till He returns FROM heaven, WITH the raptured saints, TO earth to establish His kingdom...to which I say, GLORY TO GOD!
Much more can be brought out, but the above should prove sufficient to make the case for a *LITERAL* throne here on earth that comes to fruition at the close of the tribulation when Christ returns!

The secret rapture is not true.
