Thank you for the history on secret rapture teaching.
It wasn't really all that accurate. Pre trib rapture goes all the way back to the first few centuries of the church. The Roman Catholic Church buried it but it began to explode again when the reformation began because some many people see it when they study the Bible.
I still consider SDA's to be brothers in Christ though, God Bless.

I'll never understand how anyone can reject the idea of a future 70th week. It goes way beyond that one chapter, what do you then do with Ezekiel 36-39, Ezekiel 40-48, Zechariah 12-14, Jeremiah 30-33, and many other OT chapters on Israel in the end times. I never get a serious response about any of those chapters, people just seem to ignore them and pretend they are not there. There is no way you can pretend they are about the church.

I stumbled on your Q&A program by coincidence. My question: How does the Adventist Church handle a marriage that has been so toxic due to extreme control n abusive behavior from a husband who is a former pastor and still an elder in the church. The local pastor is aware of the situation had counselled the couple n recommended separation. Inspite of this the abusive husband is still allowed to preach and remains a member of the church board. A few of the regular church members now have stopped attending the same church in disagreement to his true character behind the curtain. (He has biblical disagreement with certain other members too)
Gosh! That sounds like a situation that shouldn’t be aired on social media! Once it’s out there, there’s no taking it back! However, that sounds like a situation that needs to be addressed by the local Conference.
This platform is for Bible questions, and whilst the Bible does cover how to deal with dissent among believers, that’s all that the panel would point you to. There’s no way they would discuss local church business on air, for a church that they have no knowledge of!
I refer you to the following scriptures: James 4:1-10, Matthew 18:15-35, Romans 12:18,Colossians 3:12-15, Romans 14:1… bearing in mind, none of these may be relevant or applicable.
This is so sad. I will be praying for God's wisdom for you and your Church members. Remember that God is a God of Truth he will allow this to come to light eventually if this is the case. Pray for your Pastor and yourself and ask the Lord what your response should be. Scripture that comes to mind is Matthew 18 we're it talks about confronting a fellow believer in Christ Jesus. 🙏
@@caroleceres I like your comment that this shouldn't be aired publicly. I didn't like the use of the exclamation mark. However, your message of restoration, tact and following biblical principles for example in Matthew 18 is practical counsel.

I believe the whole house of Israel are those that are counted righteous by faith in the old testament. We of the new testament are counted righteous by faith in Jesus.
And your belief is not in line with God’s word. It if only a man-made belief, not a God ordained truth.
I disagree that the principle of female wear is modesty and feminity. Many women's frequent attire may not be feminine but they are females. I believe the principle is modesty, simplicity and appropriateness. However, I do understand the point of feminine.
Your comment seems to talk out of both sides of your mouth. I do not think women should wear tight jeans or any tight fitting clothing. Our clothes should be loose fitting and cover up as much as possible the chest, arms and legs. God made men different than women and we should not become a stumbling block for them by the way we dress. Modesty and loose fitting garments should do the trick.

Using the Kind James Version, Genesis 2:7 reads:
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Most of the translations that I looked up translate "living soul" as "living being". This will not diminish what I aim to share.
What we have here is a formula for a living soul. Body + breath = living soul. Notice that we are not *given* a soul, but we *become* a soul. If one of those components are separated from each other we have death.
This is illustrated in Psalm 104:29 (NIV) [Speaking of the creatures in the sea]
When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.
The breath of God is sometimes expressed as the spirit of God.
Job 27:3 (KJV) All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
Job 33:4 (KJV) The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
So what actually returns to God?
Psa 146:4 (KJV) His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
[Solomon, speaking of death:] Ecc 12:7 (KJV) Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Other Bible versions for the above verse are pretty much identical.
The Message Bible puts it in an interesting way:
Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 Life, lovely while it lasts, is soon over. Life as we know it, precious and beautiful, ends. The body is put back in the same ground it came from. The spirit returns to God, who first breathed it.

Edit: put simply, the soul doesn't return to God, the breath does.

Jason's answer about the state of the Dead is Incomplete.
He said nothing about life after Death.
@@glendaduncan7089 There is Life after death at the 2nd Coming of Jesus. But Life immediately after death is contrary to the the Word of God.
The Reason why we cannot explain the truth, is because we don't LIVE the Truth.
Jesus said, Man should LIVE by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.
You only need to worry about living the truth yourself as a witness for others.
Why is the least qualified panel member telling me who is not a true Christian?
John 4:23-24 God seeketh true worshippers.
Ps 75:7 God is judge.
Luke 6:37 We do not know who truly worships God.
Heb 4:12 God through His word is able to convict our hearts teaching us wisdom knowledge and understanding of the things we do not know even about ourselves.
1 Cor 11:31 We should judge ourselves.
And who are you that you can judge who is the least or most qualified panel member? You are so full of self pride, you actually remind me of Satan, the accuser of the brethren. We all break God’s laws because of lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and pride of life. We must die to self and ask the Holy Spirit to make us a fit receptacle - so He can fill us (the temple of God) with the character attributes of Christ Jesus. We must be transformed and become like Jesus.

Thank you for your comments about me reminding you of satan who is the accuser of the brethren. Not sure who I am guilty of accusing. Of the four panel members, does the youngest not strike you as having the least life experience living in the spirit, and the most life experience, and most recent(last summer), living in the flesh? We judge not lest we be judged but we know what manner of tree we are beholding. I did not look up his face book account if that's what you're worried about.
When Jesus returns, there will be one fold, one Shepherd. Do not use this verse to suggest the SDA church is the one fold. They did not exist until the 1800's long after the dragon stood to devour the child of the woman as soon as he was born and throughout the 1260 yrs when the woman existed and the SDA's did not. We are one of many folds.
God is not the author of confusion. He has ONE fold, but has many that love Him in other folds - but, they WILL hear His voice and come out of apostate Babylon and into the fold Jesus raised up after 1844. You can accept this fact or believe your own unwise imaginings. The SDA church has ALL of the lost Apostolic doctrines of Christ Jesus, the Word made flesh. There were many throughout the ages that kept the amount of truth they knew. They kept it 100% and millions of them died as they stood fast for the truth they had. God winks at them not having all the truth because the Bible had been kept from them for 3-1/2 days (1260 years). But they died via Papal Rome mandates for the truth they did have and faithfully lived unto death.

I know that you people are seemingly sincere.Just a pity that Romans six verse fourteen means nothing to you .It says that we are not under the law,but under grace .
Brother I admire your ability to question and it appears you are where I was last year before I became an Adventist. So let us continue in Roman's 6 with versus 15-18. So since God's grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don't you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master? You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive His approval. Thank God! Once you were slaves to sin, but now you have obeyed with all your heart the new teaching God has given you. Now you are free from sin, your old master, and you have become slaves to your new master, righteousness. Now let's go to Matthew 5:17-20. These are Jesus Himself speaking. Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to fulfill them. I assure you, until heaven and earth disappear, even the smallest detail of God's law will remain until its purpose is achieved. So if you break the smallest commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God's laws and teaches them will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven. But I warn you---unless you obey God better than the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees do, you can't enter the Kingdom of Heaven at all. This is the New Living Bible quotes. We should honor God in obedience. I personally do it in love for my Lord and Savior. I hope this might help you understand.

Then you don’t believe God’s Word. You are calling God a liar and yourself true. That is what Satan does. None of God’s creation has intrinsic immortality. They only have it extrinsically by eating from the tree of life. The Bible is clear that ONLY God is immortal.
