Thanks a lot. Very clear video 👍. I started to keep track of the focus lengths I used on my zoom most before buying fixed lenses. Converted to 35 mm frame, I now have 35, 50 and 90. Most used for the street are 35 and 90. 90 is beautiful, but sometimes too narrow. If I can only take one small lens with me for size and weight reasons, it's the 35.

I am glad you like the video. 35mm is also my daily street lens. Maybe you should try some wide lenses like 28mm or even 21mm to see if you like it!

An excellent piece to camera with some real insights and fantastic shots. Personally my unusual holy trinity is my 21mm f1.8 Voigtlander Ultron, my 40mm f1.2 Voigtlander Nokton (a particularly interesting Lens as it is quite wide, but delivers subject separation) and finally my 75mm f1.5 Voigtlander Nokton.

You asked about video ideas. Personally I miss the early Kaiman Wong videos from Hong Kong, not because of his quirky sense of humour, but because he explored and showed off fascinating aspects of Hong Kong life and places, while talking about cameras. So it would be great if you did a series of 10 “secret” or special locations in and around Hong Kong. Explain the history, where you’re going, document the journey etc. We Brits are extremely fond of Hong Kong. All the best from England

That’s a really good idea. There are some places in my mind that I want to show everyone before they disappear due to reconstructions.

Nice video! I enjoy the reviews on your website. Might be nice to do similar reviews on here say for instance a look at a few different lens options at each focal length, their characteristics etc. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Shane! That's a very good suggestion. I will give it a try next time.

Hi! I’ve been watching reading your reviews online and I am debating between a Voigtlander 50mm 1.5 vm ii and a Leica Summicron Rigid as an everyday lens for my M3. I realize they are very different lenses, but as an carry everywhere, do anything lens for film (B&W and Color), do you have a recommendation of which to choose?

Hey Douglas, thanks for your comment. Both of them are very different like you said. Voigtlander 50/1.5 Vm II gives you cleaner modern look with cooler colour tone. I have already sold my VM and keeping the Rigid. Rigid gives you warmer tone with great rendition. Personally I find Rigid summicron a very good lens to do B&W and colour especially very natural skin tone! (You won’t be disappointed!) Considering from price perspective, Leica in general holds its value very well.

@@Tahusaco Thank you for the reply, I think I will be on the hunt for a submicron rigid!
