- A brief history of the Moravian Church (Unitas Fratrum) describes the 562 year history of this small but revolutionary denomination. Moravians seek to follow Jesus faithfully, focusing more on how we treat one another than on points of doctrine.

I am doing my family's genealogy and found that my maternal grandmother's people were Moravians. Many of my relatives are buried in the Moravian Cemetery in Hope, Bartholomew county, Indiana, and many lived in the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina before that. Fascinating!
That's nice. I was born in Moravia.
My family, moms, are Moravian in Winston Salem NC.
Thank you so very much for sharing this history and precious move of God. I needed to know and am so grateful.
A wonderful overview of a band of faithful and dedicated followers of the Lamb. I am inspired as a contemporary Moravian.
O how beautiful, O how wonderful! Thank God for persons like Rev Bevon White who have studied to make himself approved so that he could be able to share this rich history of the Moravian Church. Halleluyah to the Lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world. Praise God.

It’s a religion not a race
@@bradleypease2492 when a religion has been around this long it can have some ethnic traditions cling to it in certain areas
@@Heathenbilly please expand on this
@@bradleypease2492 admittedly I don’t know anything about being Moravian but in certain areas like Southern Appalachia the way Christianity has been practiced is very different and heavily informed by folk traditions

Never heard of this till today! Charles Veitch saw one in Manchester
This is a glorious and little-publicized history. I learned new things from this video. However the direction of the WCC in our time is not to be commended. Somehow I doubt that Jan Hus or Count Zinzendorf would have approved the turn toward universalism or acceptance of pagan cultural practices.
I hope that there are Moravian Church in Asia
Praise the Lord

I found this video out of curiosity. So I'm not trying to offend anybody.
When I was a kid, my brother and I used to have these play battles with our toys, and the main antagonists were a Mob family, called, "The Moravians". Not sure how we came up with the name. Basically they were a mob family who had close ties with all businesses, churches, and crime since the 1800s.
My heritage is Moravia from 1700
