Mate 12 weeks is ridiculous, I’ve had parts for a tower crane out of France to NZ in 4 days (twice the size and weight of what you got) $700 freight, worth every cent. Did they send it sea freight Good to see you up and running again though
I don't knock your choice of vehicle but I am seriously disappointed that there is not a radiator in the country. That is not backing up your customers importers if you are listening. Was that Shane from racq ? A legend if I ever met one
I thought ultimate roadside assist covered your tow. Know people who broke down on the Gibb and ended up being towed to Darwin and also someone who broke down at Big Red and got towed to Brissy - no outta pocket! Should fine a big Isuzu truck!
@@roamin_in_a_ram - thank god as you had me scratching my noggin! About to take off next May -,awaiting our new van that is the bloody Bain of our life waiting!! 😂 Glad it is sorted!
Yeah, re-core right. Should have been able to take the original out and send it to Cairns or Brisbane for a re-core. Would have been quicker but may have affected warranty.
Yeah we looked at that and PWR and others where 10+ week wait. Which at the time of recording it was only 6weeks for parts out of America till Australian Customs stuff up lol
This is why you don’t buy American oversized junk not suited to Australian conditions. Toyota, Nissan, Ford and Mitsubishi have been tried and tested in our mighty country for decades.
Hahaha yeah righto cob, I've never seen a fan go through a radiator on any of those! I don't think what happened is really an issue, its more the fact that there wasn't a radiator available anywhere in Australia. or for that matter, that one couldn't be airfreighted.
Wow! 12 weeks, glad you got it sorted guys. Cheers Steve
Thanks mate
Glad you got it sort, we were are Weipa 20th August for a few nights. Long time to be stuck at Weipa
She must be a heavy unit all up. Glad you’re on your way…Steve🇦🇺
Thanks mate yeah we are about 10.3T in total

@@nzmarkb8713 yeah mate was pretty ridiculous there wasn’t any available in Aus or in the states, and then something happened with customs.

Wow did you get Rammed and no breakfast
Ummmmmm
Glad I’ve got a Toyota
Thats good for you mate 👍 👏
Plenty of Toyota’s breakdown dude, including the piece of crap Hilux I owned.
if you watchewd previous video nothing to do with ram it was damage done driving through water and fan hitting radiator can happen to a toyota as well
@@GeorgeDiamond-w8j Wouldn't take 12 weeks to fix the toyota

Surprised you couldn't get someone to fabricate a new radiator faster and less expensive.

outragoues to think you have to wait 6 weeks for parts. It's a 20 hour flight to the states @@roamin_in_a_ram
With 3 months to wait you could have snagged a job in the mine and paid for the repairs and had some beer money left over
Hahah that's what we did plus caught heaps of and crabs

Hahah ok mate 👍
I just saw the dirty 30 broke down when he brought his "unbreakable" Toyota to the states😂
I did the tip in a 2008 Jeep Cherokee in July. No probs. Its how you load and how you drive.
