I don't know if you guys feel this, but you both have grown so much in your marriage. You have identified what roles you want to have and are leaning into them so beautifully. Maya wanted to be more relaxed and allow Max to lead the family. And Max is doing that so well. Thank you for allowing us to see how to overcome challenges and build a wonderful marriage and family together. It's pretty special.
Max is truly elevating. One thing about Maya is that you can’t put her in a box… I have literally watched you since I was a a teenager and to see you and now Max still living shameless is admirable and it inspires me to lift my head up after every video that you all post.
When Max was answering the question on the plane and speaking on gender roles and said “that it’s secondary when love is primary”, that’s a profound way to see it ❤.
Max is literally out here with a school and helping to fund orphans and education in other countries. We don’t see everything and I cannot wait to see what you and Maya will do while leading your family. You two make a good team. 👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Your videos always have that added element of creativity and entertainment that isn’t always seen with other channels, you made a q&a so much more than a normal sit-down video, which was fun! Welcome back to Toronto, it’s going to be fun seeing you guys here!
100% y'all are so creative. It's kind of like watching celebrities' content when you know the content has been produced by someone on their staff who is a digital marketing pro. But y'all are in front of the cameras too! Pros...
What stands out to me about you two is your friendship and appreciation for each other. There is definitely affection between you two but in a way that you would know 2 friends want to be with each other but they “don’t want to ruin the friendship” 😂 if you understand what I’m saying. Vlogmas is really shining a light into seeing more of that. That you actually like each other. Maybe 2 vlogs ago when Max prepared the wine and you two were sitting on the couch that to me is an intimate moment and shows a lot, you don’t reject each other, but are all up in each others space with fondness. Vlogmas is wonderful. Keep up the great work.
Totally agree with this! I did wonder about their dynamic so it’s good context to know that maya doesn’t like PDA, and it’s great seeing them both being more intimate and verbally appreciating each other
I can see and understand why Maya married him❤ I’ve been following maya since her very first video on RUclips in her New York apartment. It’s amazing to see all the progress.
Hi Max, Maya, Saga, and That Trick Jackie!! I just wanted to comment on the originality of your Vlogmas project. Vlogmas has been around for some time, and I'm sure your creative backgrounds influence the results here on YT...but each vlog has been unique and intentioned, not a simple arm length shot of you guys doing everything we ALL do. I especially appreciate the vulnerability of this Q&A video. The separate videos and focusing on the unique aspects of your individual lives out there: with work, Sweden's location, culture/family insight has made your Vlogmas stand out from what I've seen many RUclipsrs do over the years. The first enjoyable/orginal Vlogmas imo. No pressure, on the next days! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas and safe travels!
Y’all are crushing it with vlogmas ❤. Hope you’re all doing ok. I 100% get you with not knowing your mother’s dialect. That’s the same with my parents, and there’s not that many available resources to learn. But ironically children in my home country are not speaking their native tongue because it pays to speak English and have an American accent. 🤷🏽♀️
I loved how you talked about understanding your daughters hair. I’m a blasian and looking back my mom who is Hawaiian-Filipino did my hair better than I ever did it 😂. I always had cute hairstyles as a kid until I started doing my own hair and had no patience. My mom is a tough cookie and never talks/complains about what it was like to bring up mixed kids. My dad on the other hand has his own perspective. I would love to hear more on my mother’s story just like you are telling us yours. Thanks 🙏🏽 ❤
Hey, babygirl! I’m Brooke, and I’m Blasian, too! My mom is Filipina and my dad is Black. Our hair is beautiful and each of our own. 😍 I just wanted to say hi and let you know that you’re not alone out here! Love always ❤
I see the mixness coming through with Saga and her perpetual golden skin, it's beautiful. She might or will look completely different in a few years. My mom is black and Indian and my dad was Chinese. My eldest brother looked like a little Chinese boy with super straight hair for his first few years, and then he suddenly started looking like The Rock. My other brother looks completely Indian and I look black lol. So a better question might be, how do you think you'll handle kids who look completely different from each other should you have another one? ❤ Wishing y'all love and light.
So honored to have my question answered first! Thank you for such a thoughtful response on language, Maya. Here’s hoping you one day get to learn Bisayâ.
Im black & my husband is Mexican, & I’m pregnant with our first child, a son! So I’m curious to see how all the interracial stuff turns out, & for him to have his own identity & experiences! 😍🙏🏿🩵
Loved the dissonance question! I feel very similar as a black and white mother who has a 1 year old child who is very white passing. I thought about it a lot the first few months and now I’m like who cares?! I’m her Mom and like you said it gives me a lot of perspective of what my white mother experienced with me. Nothing more beautiful than the blending of cultures and races.
Max I love how you responded to the question about supporting maya. I totally get why that would be a point of contention or an insecurity, and I think that your answer showed so much strength! You and maya both have so much to offer and it’s amazing to see you working together and uplifting each other
On the question about more kids let me just say….I’ve had (6, 2 sets of twins included) kids in my 20’s and now 2 in my 40’s (43 & 45) 2 yr old & 5 month old. I don’t regret it all. And there are more women these days having children in their 40’s. Not so uncommon anymore.
I always discuss how people and culture change with each generation and there is a picture of maya, her mom and saga that I bookmarked and I always bring it up to reiterate whatever point I am making.. it also leaves me fascinated by God and how creative he is…. Three people generations that don’t look alike!
Hello Max, Maya, Saga and Jackie. Another insightful vlog. I can relate regarding the mxed issue. My mum is half Chinese/half Scottish and my Dad's Black Jamaican. I have a child with my ex, who is Ethiopian. I certainly get a lot of questions and looks. Also, how exciting for you two as parents, especially Saga for having her own seat.
Oh wow, that’s really interesting. I’m Ethiopian myself and while I don’t have any kids from what I’ve observed Ethiopian genes often seem to be quite ‘weak’. For example, I have a cousin who is half Swedish half Ethiopian and while I wouldn’t say he’s white passing he looks nothing like his dark skin Ethiopian mother - people often mistake him for being East Asian or Latino. My cousin is married to a Chilean woman and they have a daughter around the same age as Saga - I wonder how she’ll navigate all the different aspects of her identity as she grows older
It’s funny because you both go hand in hand maya you write that script and cast your actors and max you capture the vision that would be dope. Maya has been in the game for minute with no comparison or shade to maya I really am invested in seeing max grow. I’m really intrigued in seeing his work (we see it in small through the vlog edits) but on a whole because throughout this year we’ve seen him transition through different phases both happy and heartbreaking so to see him win is his creative work is and would be awesome. Your relationship and partnership was divinely orchestrated. ❤
I love this video. Yall have such a beautiful family and are so brilliant at what you do. Max, I absolutely love your visuals. The video of your trip to Iceland was absolutely breathtaking, one of my favorites. Keep it up! And Maya, I love seeing how you parent Saga and the way you so fearlessly (or shall I say SHAMELESSLY) continue to pursue your dreams and the projects you believe in. You both are so inspiring!!
Thank you for answering every question with depth & thoughtfulness. Some of my favorite vlogs have been those where you reveal more of yourselves by answering our questions. I hope you enjoy your time in Toronto. God Bless.
Yay, I guessed you were going to Toronto because one of you slipped about 2-3 videos ago. I really must be paying attention, LOL. Enjoy your holiday and we are looking forward to the updates.
I love y'all together and I'm a black woman Mya & Max you both are beautiful people from the inside out and such an inspiration for me who wants to start a RUclips channel but I don't know what I want to do guess sharing my life even though I'm camera shy thank you so much for sharing and being brave enough to do it. 🙏💯💓
Thanks for making this video, it was very engaging and I appreciated the discussion. Also, how many times I've arrived in Toronto and I ain't never seen that city scape picture where the stairs were. All this time I was thinking where the heck are u guys and then I realized 😂
Ahhh❤. een watching Maya on and off for about 10 years but recently started following this channel. I have to say it was very relaxing, insightful and somewhat soothing watching this video. It so beautiful to see where you are at in your journey now Maya 💛
Vlogmas is a lot to keep up with, but Max you're doing great! Toddlers in their own seat on the airplane is different but tell me why they fall asleep on the Mom's?!?! Lol Yay I'm so excited to know you guys landed safely in Toronto! Possible meet and greet?!?! 😃😉
Yay!!!!! You guys are in Toronto 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Is it weird I love sleepy Max? he’s so funny. You guys are crushing it, Q&A while traveling with Saga, great footage and great idea. ❤❤ Vlogmas Success 😊
👍🤩💝Thank you for sharing your vlogmas videos. You guys are fantastic. I loved seeing Saga having fun and being pulled around I hope Saga gets a sibling in 2024.🙏 Two children is enough (or what ever God provides). Wishing you both the absolute best. Thanks for sharing your journey through life. We all learn from each other. 🙏💝
Max you are damn ageless and speak with faith (....quoting you, "in the word , people got pregnant in their 90s...) and that explains why you conceived and will conceive further without stress.!!! Faith makes you happy and ageless I think. Regards to you all, and Max, you are doing so well to be the head and provider of your home. To my beautiful and active Saga. Love you!
As far as working for a big network goes, this sounds similar to Oprahs story. She wanted so badly to shoot the color purple and was willing to give up three years of vacations to do it. Then she met Steven Spielberg, saw that he owned his own studio, and had her lawyer help her to create harpo studio productions. And of course we all know how 25yrs later she created the OWN network. It’s beautiful you realized you need to and should be free to express yourself. I hope all your dreams come true 🌠. I can’t believe you guys answered all these questions graciously with all the hustle and bustle. 🙏🏽
Another amazing vlog, Max and Maya! All the questions were great! I really loved the ones about being a different skin color than your daughter, Maya, and the one about having another child or two.
I wouldn't worry too much about learning languages. I'm currently learning to speak advanced Spanish. My son learned Filipino (Tagalog) by his own volition.
Yeahhhhhhh you guys are home 😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 rooting for you guys to move back, come be my neighbours in the country side hint Clarington / Belleville it’s just like Sweden with a little more people and cultures. 😁 WELCOME HOME
I'm sorry....but l need to say this: No malice to anyone... But l I'm drowning from the comments about race...Sagas skin...Maya being black and Asian. Your religions are not that different, so it works. If one was Protestant Christian or Catholic Christian, and the other Jewish, Hindu, or Muslim, that would be quite difficult.

I missed that part.
I truly feel the same way! Watching your vlogs puts hope in my life and warms my heart!
Yes...KEEP writing Maya. And Max, KEEP filming! You both are so gifted...🦋
Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏻✨
Good on you all for staying with your commitment to the vlog. We appreciate you doing this whilst traveling and with a small child. 🎉
3:45. Max's respect for Maya's boundaries is 💯 Bravo
Max is truly elevating. One thing about Maya is that you can’t put her in a box…

Really insightful, thanks for answering my questions and for your commitment to vlogmas through airports and all!! Love from nyc ❤
Welcome back to T.O.! No snow yet this season (except a light snowfall last week or so that didn't last). Maybe you'll have brought some from Sweden 😊

omggggg I NEED Celibate on air LOL! a book, a show, omg a book with you narrating the audiobook version, yup!
You answered the questions on race really well. Let Saga be who she wants to be.
@@nhow4 there is nothing wrong with posing a thoughtful question with pure intention for the purposes of being educated.
Glad you are settling into motherhood and looking forward to more children.
You all might get twins this time around! Also, if you have a boy he will resemble Maya more.
Yay, I guessed you were going to Toronto because one of you slipped about 2-3 videos ago. I really must be paying attention, LOL. Enjoy your holiday and we are looking forward to the updates.

Love vlogmas! I am so glad you guys are in TO. Thank you for sharing and putting in the work during such a hectic season.

Thanks for sharing your precious family 🙏🎉
I’ve been enjoying the vlogmas! I always tune into all vlogs but I’ve enjoyed the special Christmas vlogs, you guys have been doing great work!

A lot of us have wanted to ask the dissonance question so glad it made it in this video!
Feel better everyone. If you need to rest longer, do it so you are up to Christmas day! Saga's a good sport.
Yay!!!!! You guys are in Toronto 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Is it weird I love sleepy Max? he’s so funny. You guys are crushing it, Q&A while traveling with Saga, great footage and great idea. ❤❤ Vlogmas Success 😊
I love these contemplative and raw videos. It's great learning more about you both!
I haven't finished listening to what you were saying about it, but I would soo watch 'Celibate' - please complete it if you can!! ❤❤

Faith makes you happy and ageless I think.

You haven't moved from the toxicity of your mother. You suffered trauma as a child and it shows. Maya
