Curious about their decision to use the science fiction change to the calendar. (CE/BCE instead of AD/BC) This game is more historical fiction, so it does not really make much sense. I have never seen this in actual use in Canada, is this actually gaining traction where they are? Bit disrespectful to the people who came up with the modern calendar. Gregorian monks or something. Sort of like putting your name on someone else's test paper. Anyone want to make a mod to change it, I would use it.
BCE and CE have become popular in academic and scientific publications on the grounds that BCE and CE are religiously neutral terms its also 400 years old so no idea where your getting science fiction from
@@theirishviking9278 Yeah, I miss it because I don't see why it upsets people, we have lots of terms and traditions that came to us via religion, but are not really anything to do with religion. The division point between BCE and CE is religious, and about 5 years in the wrong place (apparently), so it really doesn't do much changing the name. I had a history teacher who was not religious, but told us that everyone should read The Bible just as a work of literature and because the content of the book shaped our History. Taking religion out of History leaves you with Science Fiction.
@ its use in the academic field gained traction around 1910s by a number of Jewish scientists so them not wanting to use it makes sense the following centuries move towards globalization also makes sense as to why people wouldn't want to use it as its a distinctly abrihamic christian term rather than a global one also the amount of times ive had to explain that AD doesn't mean "after death" to people is insane you'd think pointing out then "what is the 30ish years of his life called?" would make people realize that but nope their just stupid
With so many live streams lately, I've finally noticed all the new starting graphics! Such excellent drawings.
If navigable rivers make cities vulnerable, does that mean there are defences like channel chains and sea mines?
Having your own navy should help
I see the great banker has hp... stupid question, can an opponent kill the world banker so you'd have to start over or something?
Probably respawns in Capital if killed and the progress of already converted cities is kept would be my guess.

Not a big fan of some of the UI, it's a little dull. Hopefully that can be customised, though I imagine there will also be mods.
They said, they are turboworking on the UI. One of the first patches should include a UI improvement.
@Ursa Ryan Can you make yourself translucent?

Guys, I'm sure it's an option in the settings anyway. It's just a question of preference. No need to twist yourselves
