    It amazes me that so many people were able to get this camera. I have been trying tirelessly for 8 months. I never wanted to pay the extra money on eBay and support the flippers.

    Nice review. Cool that you’re a local DMV guy (Chinatown, Shenandoah, etc.)! Are you an Eagles fan (rather than the Commanders) with the eagle light in the background? 😂. I agree with you the menu system on the x100VI is not very intuitive. One small nitpick about this camera is the build quality. The “drive/delete” and “ael/afl” silver buttons on the back seems to get scratch and silver paint rubs off easily. Have you noticed it on yours?

    Totally agree with you the images are great straight out of camera, sometimes I do a little editing but not much

    My man! I HAVE to know what recipe and/or Lightroom preset you used on the picture of those workers at 12:35. Those are the tones I’m looking for!

    How do you edit the raw photos? I was thrown off when I saw RAF file and Lightroom wouldn’t let me upload. I primarily use JPEGs but just have RAWs as backup

    • @jordanlmiller
      @jordanlmiller  2 месяца назад

      hello! yes I had that same problem
      so what you need to do is open you Lightroom preferences, and check the box that says "treat JPEGS files next to files as separate photos"
      hope that helps!

    • @jordanlmiller
      @jordanlmiller  3 месяца назад

      the next camera I see myself getting is the Fuji X-Pro4 if that does drops next year
      a Leica is definitely a camera I will own one day, not sure how soon

    Do you ever miss using the Sony or having a different focal length? Does the camera matching in Lightroom give you a good choice of film simulations? Great vid, loving the Eagle's head in the background.

    • @jordanlmiller
      @jordanlmiller  3 месяца назад

      initially I thought I would miss being able to change focal lengths but I've come to find having the constrain on using only 1 focal length has helped my photography, I feel I am way more intentional with framing and getting my composition right
      Eagle is my favorite animal!

      I have made a recent video on my favorite recipes, honestly I haven't been using Lightroom too heavy to edit my photos recently
      most of them are shot straight out of camera

    Do you ever use diffusion filters on it? It seems like everybody else uses some sort of diffusion filter, but I find a lot of them way too over the top. I like the subtle ones like a Glimmerglass 1/2, but not sure if I'd want it on the camera all the time.
    I'm just researching what accessories to get when my name comes up on the waiting list and I like your thoughts and images around this camera.

    • @jordanlmiller
      @jordanlmiller  2 месяца назад

      I have yet to use any diffusion filters but do hear a lot of people use them, maybe I'll try them in the future
      I'd get the thumb grip, shutter button, and the Nisi screw on filter protector
      then just go out and enjoy the camera, its such an amazing camera

    • @Simto
      @Simto 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the reply. I’ve really enjoyed your videos on it.
      Yeah, the plain nisi uv filter is probably the safest bet. I do prefer the more natural look.
      I’m for sure getting the thumb grip, button and hand grip because I’m a giant Danish viking with huge hands hehe.

      haha thank you!
      I got this hat from Fujifilm "Create With Us" event in Austin Texas this year
      They had a booth in which you could create your own custom hat with different patches to choose from, I thought this one looked dope
