If only I had watched this before I got the drone expedition and warped on the last one to repair before finishing the commander. Your comment was spot on, be ready to finish it! Side question...which ones spawn the escalations from high to low security? Because you can get jumped in there.

Well you never know if you'll be sent to highsec or lowsec for any given Escalation, it's pretty random.
I think there is a maximum distance involved but as it's really hard to be that far from lowsec, it's just luck of the draw where the destination will be.
Same applies when getting the multi-stage Expeditions. Each stage is another dice roll for location!
If I get an Escalation or Expedition to lowsec, I usually just ignore them and concentrate on generating another one, as you can have an infinite number of Escalations and Expeditions active at one time, no need to run them as soon as you are awarded them.

Another good guide. I've been doing this for a few weeks now and in the last few days I've been keeping score, it seems I get some 75-100 mil/h but don't know if that's good or not. I only keep to 0.5 to 0.8 sec systems so mostly avoided the really low sites, completely stopped bothering with anomalies and until now I've completely ignored drone sites due to the wiki stating they rarely drop loot. I'm trying to optimise as much as possible. Would you say that the unrated Drone sites are actually worth doing due to their slightly different commander mechanics, compared to just doing the "normal" sites?

Well as usual, the answer is: that depends(!)
The Sentient drones do have a chance to drop the 43-X and 46-X Nexus Chips for the Astero and Stratios which can be exchanged at Sisters of EVE Loyalty point stores for a single run blueprint of those ships.
They can also drop Sentient faction modules which can be worth a fair amount.
Because the Unrated drone sites have a guarantee of a Sentient drone being there, and any Expedition coming off that site also having guaranteed Sentient spawns, I choose to run them.
More guaranteed dice rolls on the loot table means a better chance of getting the good stuff.

Don’t you mean escalation? Not expedition.

Nope, Expeditions is a slightly different thing.
Escalation is a single-site 'private' DED rated dungeon.
Expeditions are a (possible) chains of up to 4 sites.

@@MrMrl69 That's more or less why I did two separate videos, to underline the differences :)

I wondered when I started a few months back how only 20p00 people play this game…. Now I know that those 20000 people are really the same 100 people lol what a junkyard game.
