Freelancers was a big hit at with my group. Instant back, and I can get a copy of Forgotten Waters as part of my pledge so I'm super happy to see this!
I like the system and will eventually get the game. There’s just no incentive to back the campaign. Kickstarter and retail versions are essentially the same. In fact, factor in the shipping charges, it will be so much more expensive than when it finally becomes available at retail. I’m ok waiting and will just play other excellent games in the meantime.
A Muze called Bellamy… I see what you did there 🧐 I like the look of this, but with no exclusives I’ll likely wait for retail - still need to play Forgotten Waters.
Right at the end, they say that if you play solo or with 2, you use "apprentices". I assume they went with 3 players to keep things simpler for the demo.
As always good walkthrough. It's exciting to see Plaid Hat doing so well..i wish they could do this set up for Dead of Winter and rerealese it! I will say the game has one immediate turn off and that its just kind of ugly to look at. Especially compared to its box art being very cartoony and vibrant. The components are so much more desaturated. It would tirn my wife and I off a lot. I think Freelancers is more up our alley.
Thanks for the review. Sounds like a good combo of choices and ease of play.

Hi there, so glad you enjoyed their last title! This one has the same feel in terms of structure, but still unique.

Deck building with skill checks has so much more agency than dice and is seamless with progression. Hope we see more of this mechanical mash up.

M: ... now free for the first time of your lives
N: Great!
M: Sort of.

I was going through the playthrough playlist and this "overview" came into the list 😅😅😅
What was the reason playing 3 characters vs 2? Looks like you have to play all 6 roles. Or do more characters allow you to have more actions?

Thanks. Yeah I didn’t get to the end. Appreciate it
Yeah we went with 3 for the exact reason mentioned above. We didn't want to zoom out even more and crowd the top down camera.
🙂👍

Fully cooperative games are inherently less fun to watch for me.😊
