The ships within the disturbing world of dead space are indeed ones to marvel at whether that be from the colony shuttles only fit enough to hold a compact size all the way to the mighty planet crackers that can lift tremendous weight in the form of continents right out of the planets surface in which it would later be broken down.
In this video we will be going through all of the ships within the dead space universe however I did miss one from the book dead space catalyst so apologies I guess that one just slipped my mind in the production however I hope you still enjoy despite that hickup.
I wont be going into massive detail in the ships due to lore limitations as we all are very much aware of the limitations of the writers of the games, books, movies, comics and other media but I do hope that this video is one you will remember for the positive rather than the negative.

It always bothered me that humanity in the dead space universe never tarted up their vessels a little to offset the overall grunge and filthy feel of them. I mean, even the Sprawl, supposedly home to thousands and built specifically as a residential station, looked more like a high tech prison than a space city. It’s almost not even a surprise when blood gets all over the carpets; living there, one might even come to expect it.
(Sprawl citizen walks out of his apartment. There’s blood on the carpet. Someone is screaming down the hall. He’s pretty sure a hand just flew out of his neighbors half-open door)
“Must be a Tuesday”
Do you see Aircraft carriers putting flames and decals on them, even though those are basically floating cities? No.
Well the answer is like what the doctor what praise the efige say " we are in the space for more 2 years, the accidents are totally normal, beacuse the space is dangerous "
@@Vometbomb Not on the outside, but the inside often has a homy feel to it, at least.
Architect here
Simple answer: Money. Aesthetics are quite expensive. Even paint.
I expect ship/station owners wouldn't spend money on something frivolous unless it helps to get a quick return on investment.
And Considering that people have been living in ships for centuries by the time of DS1 people would've learnt to like the Industrial theme.
Look at Prey
Talos is a fancy station with wood floors and stuff.
But it was research based, I imagine if it was a mining station it wouldn’t have been nearly as furnished
After some couple thorough gameplay video watching and wiki reading in dead space 3, I have concluded that The Mule Space Aircraft has 3 engines instead of 2, you see the proof is in the pilots room, there are 3 screens specifically projecting Engine Blades, one on the right, another on the left and another on the center, so in conclusion the engines are located on the wings( two on the main wings and one on the Tail ), so it’s practically the design is similar to that engine layout of the McDonnell Douglas DC-10.
Down with unitology!
Such blasphemy!

Earthgov Gunship just looks like a Helmet. The Lazy Bastards.
Ishimura is smaller then it logically should be tbh. Only 1.6 km in length
I like your logo look cool
The exact same size as an Imperial Stardestroyer.
@@TheKingofbrooklin It is still far too small to be able to efficiently process an entire continent of raw materials.
@@phoenixlandsberg9649I doubt that a planetcracker keeps the processed material on bord until the planetslice is gone. Parts the ship processed get most likely transported to other facilities.
@@TheKingofbrooklin The fun part is figuring out how big that planet slice is, as it is nowhere small enough to be handled like the sphere that was used for processing (Chapter 7: Into the Void). That should not have been a sphere, instead it should have been a cylinder on the outside, and a cone on the inside, where inside the ship you have 'equipment' shaving pieces off the cone for processing. Think of it like a pencil sharpener, where the pencil stays still and the sharpener moves around it.
As to the Ishimura itself, how much mass would a planet slice have (I have seen ranges from 525 trillion kilograms to 525 trillion kilotons)? If a planet crack is supposed to take 3-5 years, how much material would the Ishimura have to process per hour in order to just handle the crust of Earth (about 2*10^19 tons) in 10 years? What would be better is the Ishimura pulling up chunks of the planet that are rich in selected ores and only processing those pieces, instead of trying to process the entire crust. Even then, the Ishimura would only process the most profitable pieces and discard the rest either into orbit, or back onto the planet
Great to see someone gather info from Dead Spaces expanded universe. Keep up the great quality!
CONVERGENCE IS UPON US 🤞🏻
Hah! Good job with the crossed fingers! Praise Altman.
It is always. Search your Core and you will see it.
What I would love to understand is, why is there 1 dislike on this video.
Who clicks on this, reading the title, then watches it and is somehow not in agreement over what was presented ?...
Some people are just jerks, it is what it is unfortunately
british
Since I enjoy the videos this gentleman puts out, I can't for the life of me get into a disliker's head. I mean you have to have a fairly close relationship with the franchise to want to know every piece of minutia about it, to begin with, I would think.
Frankly I can't get enough.
And it's sad, but over the last 5 years or so I've learned sometimes people like to be douche bags just for the hell of it.
Binging all of your Deadspace videos to refresh my lore knowledge before the remake comes out lol.
Cool, in depth video. I really like that they named two ships the "Franklin" and the "Crozier" after the captains from the lost Franklin polar expedition, like in The Terror.
I think the planet cracking has also severe political elements within it whereas the operations are not have to gave more autonomy towards to colonies and thus avoiding further accidents such as Martian Independence Riots to occur
what
I've been waiting for this!
I will oftentimes equate Event Horizon as a lesser Dead Space, they both have that feel and storyline: deep space mission goes wrong, massive ship turns feral with alien entities that could crawl right into your head, and make you see what you kinda want to see. Even though it's death in it's most visceral forms.
I'm looking forward to see how they do with it as the series is coming up. I've already seen bits and pieces of the game from the devs and it looks SHARP. Really Freakin' Sharp.
Fascinating videos, even learned a thing or two and I thank you for sharing.
Love this channel mate!
Thank you very much answering my request about the Dead Space ships and spaceships you are cool I hope you have a great night
Another great video
Awesome video have you thought of doing one on the minor characters or survivors encountered that would be cool to see
Thanks for the lore also I will definitely look around for no survivers I never knew that one existed
Good luck!
Yep definitely correct about all the Ships of Dead Space your Lore. Your channel and thanks for sharing us. They need make new ship with technology.

EarthGov as liked this video
Absolutely L O V E that they named two vessels after the Franklin expedition (see The Terror).
Francis Crozier, HMS Terror
John Franklin, HMS Erebus
Sail on, Captains.

Awesome video! Dead Space lore is one of ma favorite rabbit hole to plunge into haha
I always seem to come back to it....
Small suggestion for next videos : The shaking images are tough on the eyes, maybe skip that effect in the future :)
Your kinda addicting ngl lol
Make us whole!!!
Now that I think about that army ship that crash into the ishimura almost about the same size, this ship had millions of heavily train soldiers, with military grade weapons, and all of them got whipe out thanks to the pod.
God I love your dead space lore videos also F%$# unitology!!!
Why can’t I find the Union Marine Corporation when I search up for it
