This made me sad. There’s a lot of trauma here. She has anxious attachment. That’s usually caused by an abandonment wound in childhood. He’s dealing with a lot of loss and responsibility. I don’t think she’s secure enough to support his needs and he doesn’t have the time or communication style to make her feel secure. I wonder if they are trauma bonded.
