“Now look Miss Often” 😂😂😂
I love the first darrin ... the energy was never the same after the new darrin came in
I agree
Elizabeth Montgomery was so wonderful
I liked her much better paired with Dick York. After the 5th season, and with Dick Sargent, “‘Samantha’’ became more and more weird..sarcastic and sleezy looking.
@@richparsons4205 Elizabeth Montgomery became sarcastic and sleazy because she was big on women's lib.
@@richparsons4205 I noticed that too.. something must happened to her in that time
Elizabeth left the '50s behind. I notice these "sleedy" comments are coming from male viewers. As another male, I like her independence. One of her career goals was to break out of the shadow of her father. Did she ever, eclipsing him. Those close to her suspected that Robert Montgomery may have been jealous of his daughter's success, instead of supportive of her.
I bring this point up because a woman, or anybody, for that matter, that doesn't meet the presonceptions of some needn't be put down. Yes, Elizabeth supported the women's movement, along with many other charities, sometimes showed her support in the wardrobe she wore, which was tasteful and not revealing. You can't say that about some in Hollywood these days.
Now, finally, back to Sam herself. As the series progressed, one can see the change in Elizabeth's character. Sam was always one who would stand up for choices but, she became even more independent, especially when Darrin jumped to conclusion but her using her powers. Beginning in season one right up to the end, Sam stood up for herself and what she believed. This is one major difference between BEWITCHED and other shows of the '50s and early '60s. I think that had something to with the show having female writers on the, particularly Barbara Avalon.
Oh, brother! What is this "sleazy" crap? Those using this word, have you looked this word up? Are those using the word upset because of the wordrobe, particularly in the eigth season?
Let's start with nightgowns that Elizabeth wore in the first two seasons. They were so long and so conservative I don't know how any woman could sleep in them, along with walking in them without tripping. The nightgowns got shorter in season three, some pretty short.
The dresses she wore were a throwback to the 50s and early 60s in the first two seasons. That changed in the third season where her dresses got to just above the knee.
Well, people know that the wardrobe changed as the times changed from '64 to '71, when the last season was filmed. Yeah, Elizabeth supported the women's movement and she showed it at times, but never by being lewd about it. Today it's totally different and people eat it up.
Isn't the real issue with some the loss of Dick York, something the producers had no control over and his missing work? York thought he could've returned around six months. That would've meant a whole scheduling and air date issue.
Sam weird? That's a new one on me. As i've said elsewhere, one of the big differences in the Sargent years was a gentler portrayal of Darrin, less yelling at Sam and directing his anger more at Sam's mother or Serena or other members of her family. That I like.
I sincerely doubt that if Elizabeth Montgomery were alive today, she would be on social media, or if it existed back in the 80s or 90s. I can't imagine her ever having an e-mail account. She was a very private person to the point she got nervous doing interviews. She was also very leary of the media, seeing how it had hurt others over the years.
I can see why she shunned the Hollywood scene and the press and most likely would've shunned social media with words like "sleazy" being thrown around.
Aunt Hagatha always brought welcomed levity to any scene.
Samantha had hoped no one would notice her new look but it was pretty eye catching.

Bernard Fox was excellent at playing the flamboyant and devilishly
handsome (and woman chasing) Witch Doctor Bombay! Great scene!
Samantha looks great in purple and longer hair.
Dr. Bombey has a naughty nurse.
Dr Bombay had some great looking nurses ❤ him he was funny
Bernard Fox was one of the minor treasures of this show, not quite as funny as Paul Lynde but still a good comedic character actor.
Yup everything endora say about darrin is true, he disrespects her entire fam and expects nothing but respect and total acceptance of his horrible mother!!
yes.. very true
It works both ways Endora calls Darrin petty and all mortals asinine but she acts like a hypocrite human being herself anyway I love ❤️ this sitcom 😉
But that doesn’t stop him from loving Samantha and she loves him
Her family was not always nice to him.
@@4nlover635 I have to disagree on that Darrin was always rude to her family Dr Bombay included and Samantha never even tried to defend her family but when they did something to Darrin she defends him even when he started whatever happened.
Dick York portrayed Darrin with more warmth. When he left, the show lost half of it's magic (pun intended).
It's no wonder why Samantha didn't recognize Aunt Hagatha. There were 3 or 4 different actresses who played the part over the years.
There where 4 Actress who played the Part but Retta Shaw played her Twice and Strangley Enough people always Associated her with this Character of Aunt Hagatha know one Even Remembers the ot h er 3 Actresses.
@@gregorybell8898 I think that's because the two times Reta played Aunt Hagatha the part was much more substantial in those two particular episodes, plus her face and costume were already familiar from her playing the virtually identical character of Bertha in Seasons 1 and 2.
Why do I get the feeling that Dr. Bombay's nurses are playboy bunnies?
Dr Bombay had some very pretty nurse, he was very ❤him he did other stuff tv shows
" I cant walk around with these stripes all year!"
I walked around with bad hair for a year. Only difference is I didnt leave the house.
Why does Aunt Hagatha call Darrin, “Mr. Stephens”? The show was never the same after Dick York left
Better than calling him, Dawrin, or Derwood or Derweed, etc.
Yeah Dick York was a class act!The best Darren.
I guess because she's used to calling Carolyn Muir Mrs Muir..!!
@@sdrewe99 he was indeed a far superior darrin, but word has it he was falling in love with elizabeth montgomery and that was making her mighty uncomfortable.
@@Lizardking73 the word sounds like nonsense to me.The word has also stated that Dick York and Elizabeth Montgomery hated one another.-I never buy into what the word says!
this is one of my favorite Bewitched episode
Elizabeth Montgomery looks good in stripes...
One of the last episodes I saw before heading overseas... I watched the show regularly... I liked the tabitha episodes, and the grown up kids series... E.M. such a treasure!
This is one of my favorite episodes. I rewatch it on Dailymotion all the time🥰🥰🥰
🥰
Witches sure had the most unusual diseases
Wish these were full episodes !
Fun episode. Reta Shaw is a delight. Originally Endora (and not Aunt Hagatha) was supposed to be in this episode but Agnes Moorehead had to opt out either due to a scheduling conflict or most likely illness (she suffered recurring bouts of the flu - Charles Tranberg's book on Agnes called I Love the Illusion).
It would have been interesting had endora appeared in this episode
I like it for its 60s 70 decorating style. There actually was color and character.
They should have used purple stripes to match her outfit.
I had to laugh at the ad that came up, for Ibis Paint lol.
That red paint looks like slices across her face, like she got split down the middle and then diced up lol.
Poor Samantha has line disease
😂😂😂😂😂
Weather he minds or not doesn't matter!! You F'ing tell him Auntie!!!!!
Dick Sargent was such a wrong choice when they were forced to recast Darrin. He made me thoroughly dislike Darrin.
It’s funny, but he was the original choice to play Darrin. If that had happened, I don’t think the series would have lasted more than one season.
He always came across as snide with little chemistry or charisma. York was also a grumpy Darrin, but he knew how to play it for laughs and that at the end of the day he was all bark and no bite. This one was too one note.
I would like to ser the whole episode please
The second last episode of the whole series
😂💭🙋😮😂Silly 📺makes me smile ☺
Need full episodes. Pleaseeeeeee
roku has them
Elizabeth Montgomery looked so much better with her hair combed back in the earlier episodes than parted in the middle in the last seasons.
I know fashions changed and she was still beautiful but she lost her distinctive look.
Hagatha is the cook from mrs Muir and the ghost
Agatha is played by reta Shaw.
4:27 Stripes For A Year.
Very good 😘 Love ❤️👍👍
nice episodes too good full episodes please
Isn't this a repeat of an earlier episode, but with Aunt Clara?
Wow yeah i think so but such a short clip i am not sure but yeah the aunt clara one was about a black Peruvian rose that her to get spots on her face so yeah very similar ( but i heard they often recycle material & Still do )
Yeah it is. She had green stripes in that one and Clara managed to undo her spell when she remembered her incarnation.
No one else had a problem with it.
Samantha and Jetgiller make film very good idea
Samantha looks good in stripes. Or without.
Loved This Episode. I Just LOVED The Incredible Rita Shaw As Aunt Hagatha!!! Of Course I Just LOVE The #ElizabethMontgomery 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍 👸🏼 #Bewitched #SamanthaStevens #DarrinStevens #DickSargent #DrBombay #BernardFox
I agree I love her too maybe it was your microphone but her name is spelled RETA she’s wonderfulThanks for supporting her
Nice
I ❤that house.
Funny.
Dr. Bombays assistant looks like Shannon Doherty.
Isn't this the same lady who played Martha in "The ghost and Mrs Muir"?
Yes.
@@kyleoliver3572 and I also saw her in a I dream of Jeannie episode playing some colonel asking Maj Nelson to make a candy called pipchicks 😀
Yes, and she was also in the movie "The Ghost & Mr Chicken" (along with Dick Sargent).
She was also Aunt Bertha in season one and Aunt Hagatha in season three
The Original Pennywise.
I hope Dr. Bombay was able to help her 🤩
Not really
In a round about way
She's walking around today with red stipes on her face
@@2late4me2care LOL
Mettez en francaus merci
Darrin lied there. Aunt Clara is his favourite.
Granted, at that point he hasn’t be on the show for years and has never seen this version of Darrin.
👍
So Samantha’s aunt was babysitting for them so Dorian can enjoy a night out with his wife and he is still rude to such a lovely lady!!! How selfish and rude can one get,!,!

Why in every episode the art behind the front door changes?
hi
:((l Love
The show was never the same after Dick York left. At least you could see why Samantha fell in love with him. Dick Sargent turned Darrin into a condescending slang of his name.
😘
First, Sam had green strips with the first Darrin, and now she has red stripes with the other Darrin. Either she is getting festive, or turning into toothpaste!
And don’t wait up for me at the local piggy wiggly.
También me acuerdo, yo era niño y me daba miedo de lo que le pasaba :'( en la cara
I thought he died on the Titanic.
Aw, we didn't get to hear Doctor Bombay's punchline response. .
Did Aunt Hagatha play as the maid in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir?
Housekeeper, dear friend and companion.
♥🏡⚓👻👩👵👦👧👅🐾
She played Martha the housekeeper
Anyone know how she was cured?
Dr. Bombay gave Sam a cure
Watched this show as a child, still do. Dick York was a fine comic actor, Dick Sargent was terrible.
Stop following me. Stop telling people how to mistreat me.
The second darrin was terrible
He was good looking actor I think he was their first choice but he was unavailable, he made a movie with elvis Presley &three company 3show episode, chrissy older man date
Not to me.
When did bewitched become an adult show?
It always had a bit of saucy comedy.
3:31
Let's see some non darrin episode's.
