Just purchased one, can't wait to do FPV. Question? Is it OK to have the vid TX mounted inside fuse and under canopy?. From looking at some of your photos it appears that someof you moght be doing that.
Some of the high power VTx' need a steady airflow, but the majority, espically 200mW and below will work inside the fuse. Just make sure that the antenna is not sunk into a lot of wiring or other metal parts obscuring the transmission.
Good design, winglet + 2 vertical stablizers. If the vertical stablizers locate at back of the fuselage and top of the motor it will be even better. At higher angle of attack, airflow can still reach that location. Anyway, it is not going to be flying high alpha. I guess another very efficient machine.
Hi guys and gals at Horizon! I'v got one of these wings (EFL11150) in my cart (at www.horizonhobby.com, where else?). Before i check out, though, I need your recommendation for a radio (how many channels?) that will give me maximum range, as well as the ability to fly fpv this wing as well as having it run a flight planner track on a pixhawk. What I should expect (range-wise) on flat terrain. TKS!
Looks like my style of flying ! Low and dirty:) I've been a TheoryW addict but I think it's time to go for the Opterra nice please check my wing videos out. I love wings!
