I am crying. Thank you for releasing them back into the wild. That's beautiful. The smugglers are horrible! Selling birds on a stick on the side of the road breaks my heart. I have 4 birds and it's so hard to see how they get treated by the local sellers for money. Like it's an item. Horrible!
Unfortunately, this reality does not happen only in the central Mayan america in South America also I live in Brazil and every day on television we see the cruelty that make the plants and animals in the Amazon rainforest, the Brazilian government talks that will end the deforestation, but in fact it does nothing but charge high taxes of the Brazilian population, now I am very happy when these American organizations come here in Brazil to preserve the forest, because the Americans are aware that life on earth needs the natural, thank you people of the USA, to preserve this world so wonderful that God has given us.
Great work guys! You see a lot of people who just don't understand the value of the life of an animal is equal if not greater then our own. Leave the wildlife where it belongs, in the wild, not in cages! no matter how much you think you love them!
Buying a pet should be like adopting a child. If you can't afford the necesary money to maintain the animal in fine condition, with a appropiated enviroment and well fed, you shouldn't be allowed to get one.
Thanks for the great work you are doing. It will take some time until the whole world understands that animals are sentient beings and do not deserve to be sold and rubbed of their life.
You don't! Monkeys smell, so have to be bathed every day. Owners have ALL of the monkeys teeth pulled out so it can't bite them & have males castrated thinking it will change their behaviour. It doesn't. They use shock collars and leave the poor thing in a cage wearing nappies (diapers) all day. Some have finger&toe nails removed to stop them scratching & have the monkey's penis cut off (to stop it playing). All this humiliates the monkey and it goes insane & self harms in isolation. It's CRUEL.
Thank you for your efforts in EDUCATION. Although it is obvious that poverty plays a huge role in the illegal wildlife trade (and unfortunately no amount of wildlife education is going to put food on these people's tables), I have to believe that educating those trying to sell will eventually have an impact on the culture of animal trade.
Really, never? Most stores that are pet smart or petco, don't do animal trafficking. The bird store I got my bird, Cheddar, at my local bird store. All the birds there, had been from A breeder, or from another bird owner.
my chickens were outside my window, which is closed, when I coughed pretty loudly and they all looked up towards the window and then took off running😂😂
It's great to see organizations in those parts of the world caring for these animals. There are so few exotic bird species left, and all decline in due to illegal bird trade. I can't wait for the day when all the worlds governments come together, to stop illegal bird and wildlife trade, and arrest the criminals!
Those illegal wildlife or exotic animals markets all over the world are usually packed with people. Amazing as it is. That s why the trade never stops.
a little over 10 years ago you can see a lot of people selling parrot chicks for as low as $5 each right on the street or market. Most houses (good or bad) have a pet bird. Though that really has changed over the years, and now you can't find people selling them unless you go into the very rural area, or people with a farm. What I find with villages, most aren't willing to sell at all. It is nice to see that teaching those people actually did help.
i rescued 2 baby Pionus 4 months ago, they were just little babies, and they were really scared. then i took the little baby Parrots home, gave them handfeeding, for 3 months, and now they're living here, and they are so glad that i found them, oh, i gave them names too: Kiwi (my little boy) and Kiara (my little girl)
if you people love these animials so much you would support the captive breeding of exotics because this is the only reasonable way to prevent the cruelty while removing the pressure on wild animals and also lowering their value so the ones in the wild are not worth so much as to illegally poach...expecting the world to stop keeping pets in unrealistic
They are doing this for money and to provide income for their families. It's illegal to do this in most countries where tropical rainforest exist. Not only these people are doing it, some people smuggling animals into miami florida for the pet trade as well
@@ykMMD Yeah it starting to become more demanding, and right now in miami and parts of south Florida. You can see animals that is from the rain forest such as a Macaw, iguanas and other animals
I hope these animals can go back to the wild again and we all can enjoy the nature as it suppose to be. In Holland we have animals day at the 4e of october and i hope that all abusers will be walking around with wounds and scratches so they are recocnise as cruel people ♥♥Jeannette♥♥
If the local people only would learn that poaching will on lead to another illegal activity one the wildlife is gone. Instead it is much more responsible to properly catch a few birds and another wildlife and start a proper breeding farming for them. Then They could in turn have much healthier animals to offer and a sustainable method of making a honest living. If they keep poaching they will no longer be able to sip their morning coffee and listen to all the nature another them.
NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY BIRDS.There are 3X the amount of rejected/homeless birds than there are dogs and cats. Many dont know that, but it is true.Imagine yourself as one of those thousands. And their only suicide is to pick each other to death or just st0p eating.I dread God's judgement on those 'people'
There is a market on Galiff street, Kolkata here in India. They sell puppies and exotic birds. It is really cruel. They handle the puppies so badly. They live in tiny cages. They probably come from puppy mills. The mother dogs are given pills so they can reproduce 3, 4 times a year. And the puppies are sold really young, like 40 days old 😩. The parrots are sold really young as well. People buy them and still call themselves animal lovers. I am not sure how to save these animals. I want to buy them and save them all but in doing this, I will be funding this cruel people and encourage them to do this even more. It’s really sad 😥 Please can you save these poor creatures. The Indian government does not take animal cruelty seriously
I have a bird, small budgie from a trusted local area. And this just, is sickening. If your going to get an animal, get it from a trusted dealer and dont just, yeet it from its home.
Good luck educating that villager who’s mostly concern about having food on the table for the kids that other species lives matter more than his existence 👍.. how do you expect people in the village to understand when they are hungry under bad conditions to simple have other concerns 😊 look at their clothes conditions and desperation. Try living there for one day. Sure what they are doing is harmful to animals.. but perpective is good. These videos do not address the hard condition of the people .. because it’s animal focused .. but there is a root truths to every bad trade that harms nature everywhere..
They already know what to eat in the wild, it's all instinctive. That's like if I got kidnapped as a newborn and was raised by birds, I'm to instinctively not eat dirt or paper, I'm going to know already. Idk, I didn't explain that very well, it's 4:30 am, I have insomnia and my sleeping meds are trying to kick in, lol!
Save animals, don't sell them. We share this planet with them as well.
Michael yeeet!!!!!!!!!!!

It's wonderful that you can save some of them. It's a sad sad thing what those poor baby animals are put through.

Boycott the disgusting pet trade. Poor animals! Wild animals belong in the wild only!
Great work guys! You see a lot of people who just don't understand the value of the life of an animal is equal if not greater then our own.
Leave the wildlife where it belongs, in the wild, not in cages! no matter how much you think you love them!

Who would buy a bird off the street? No buyers no more trade...
Buying a pet should be like adopting a child. If you can't afford the necesary money to maintain the animal in fine condition, with a appropiated enviroment and well fed, you shouldn't be allowed to get one.

Breaks our hearts to see this. Kudos to you guys on making the video to create awareness
It sucks they can't be sure that they won't be caught again after release.
you all are doing great job thank to you all.

@@death.thricedrawn9939 animals sold on pet stores suffer alot. Many parrots are in need of a new home best way is to rescue thats what I did.
I have an exotic bird store in my town. They're all bred out there in the store-
also people want all of your money for one of these.
Or just don’t get birds at all.
Fantastic job you are doing
keep up the good work
Greetz from the Netherlands
The parrots in the first clip are the ones I hear every sunset and sunrise in Southern California.
@dark siders late response, but I have never heard of parrots being killed here. Could you send me sources?
i feel like this topic isnt spread enough, so thank you!

Great job. I have one concern though, how do you make sure these freed animals not getting caught again by the locals?
you guys are doing a very good thing by saving those animals. keep it up guys 👍
Thank You for doing this hard but wonderful work. Great Job!!! Thank You so very much!!!!

Great job guys may god bless you....you are the voice for them poor animals.
You have to address the root cause too which is poverty.
Those illegal wildlife or exotic animals markets all over the world are usually packed with people. Amazing as it is. That s why the trade never stops.

FREEDOM IS A BIRTH RIGHT ,IF YOUR A TRUE ANIMAL LOVER LET THE ANIMALS HAVE THEIR FREEDOM . I LOVE SEEING A BIRD FLY NOT IN A CAGE .
NADEEM AHMED heheheh arab talks about birth rights
It's almost impossible to tame a wild bird
Its why you get a domestic bird instead 👀
You know, things like this would never happen if the government learns to treat its people right. This is what comes out of poverty
Geweldig wat jullie doen !😊
Which place is this????

john dover captive breeding should be stopped!!!!! they still take them out of the wild regardless
john dover plus have you seen the sanctuaries with the unwanted because they can't breed anymore.its awful
john dover I’d never buy my pet from a store. Would only buy it from a responsible breeder.

Thank you for helping Mother Earths Little jewels
Dang, my Amazon Red Crowned came from Mexico some guy got tired of it and surrender it to shelter in AZ. I will never get rid of it though
Thank you

I take proud of your effort .
First up all the buyers should be educated ..if the demands cut then the sale automatically will come to an end
I know it must be tough to live in less developed countries but exploiting other animals are unnecessary.
adopt don't stop
Do you mean shop because a rescue is a job for adopting multiple animals
I Went To a Santurary In Roatan That Rescued Animals From The Wildlife Trade
The one thing I was saying in the beginning was "Yes go baby bird bite his fingers rip them off"
there's so much ignorance and hunger that people will do whaever they have to do to survive
