    Hello Al. I came across this when I was looking for a blade to add to my EDC. Could not believe it when I saw that you created this. One of my favorite neighbors and trainers. Wish you the best with this venture. Holly Road Baby!

    Al is the real deal true American bad ass! And an amazing innovative thinker, designer, and creator of the absolute best defensive combat knife! Thank you Al for your contribution in keeping us ready to protect our lives from evil. I really truly admire the fact that you named this knife after US Army Colonel Rex Applegate. The ultimate American bad ass and HERO! I carry your blade on my duty belt, as well as my everyday EDC, and know it will be there if and when I ever need it to protect my life.

    My problem is using this knife in conjunction to a fire arm. Use the colonel to get to your fire arm. And then continue holding the colonel while using a fire arm. The socp dagger can be used to creare space just like this but after you stab and creaye space you can draw your fire arm and use it whipe never letting go of the dagger. But I love the idea and design of the colonel. But ots a double edged sword I guess

      Dude you’re a legend, I’ve been looking for a defensive knife that fulfills that exact purpose, and the socp does it perfectly. I just bought one and love everything about it

    That mole is amazing! Smart ass comment aside, I purchased the NCO. It’s the best edc knife out there. The simplicity and effectiveness of this style knife would allow easy use by anyone.
    Fortunately I have not had to use it but if I ever did it would make fast work of an attacker.
    The black blade and fit in the hand makes it almost unnoticeable at night while walking. This is an advantage if walking thru a parking lot or street near a group of nefarious people. It’s almost impossible to drop as long as the user is conscious.

    What happened to this company? Are they permanently shut down, restructuring, in litigation, or have they been bought out? There's a media blackout on information concerning their status.

      I can understand. At the same time, there's good reason why. Once they work out what they work out, they will disclose at that time. In the mean time, you need to wait anymore for a product that we have. It's called the CDHK and it deploys with one hand and works exactly the same and is similar in it's design. It penetrates the same way. Go here to check it out. We have it at an incredible price and we also have a sale on it starting tomorrow (01-19-20). You're going to be BLOWN AWAY once you see the price tomorrow. Later...

    This knife is amazing in every sense. If you hold one in your hands, you will understand. The biggest reason to own one, is because of how secure it is in your hands. If you stab with any knife, the knife can penetrate but there is a high probability that the knife will hit something, (bones or organs) and your hand will continue to move forward and you can cut your hand. This won't happen with the colonel blade. The hole that you put your finger through, prevents that.

    the ka-bar TDI can be just as effective and a fraction of the price

    • @TheUltimateKnife
      @TheUltimateKnife  6 лет назад +10

      Al Salvitti had used that very knife and so have I and I tell you (as he would), the reason why he designed it was because using the TDI does not secure as well as the Colonel NCO knife and the design of the TDI is rather painful as you're pushing the knife forward into the target. Your index (pointer) finger has no room and upon impact hits up against the bone of your finger. Not with the Colonel NCO knife. So you can get the TDI, but honestly there is NO comparison. You'll only know that if and when you decide to purchase this knife. Thank you for your comment.

      I have both and you are right there is no real comparison the tdi is not angle as much so you have to break your wrist past lock to truly get a good angle to stab. Also not really sure if its cause I have big hands or not but even when i stab at my arrow target the tdi kinda hurts my hand because of the attack angle also I have slipped once and cut myself pretty good on the tdi because it doesn't have a finger loop like the colonel does and in a strenuous situation the tdi would also be easier to be dropped or taken from your hand because the lack of the finger so no there is no real comparison all you have to do is hold the colonel one time and you will realise there isn't really a comparison at all

      By the time you replace the TDI sheath and find a TDI trainer, you spent as much as it would cost to purchase a Colonel with an included trainer and excellent OEM sheath.
