Just had the sole on my Nike Pegasus 38s come loose from the upper and have decided on these for my general running. A good solid shoe is not to be underestimated and they can now by found for under £70. Good review
Been long distance running since I got into XC in high-school. Never stopped. I remember some of my teammates recommending Nike at the time so I got some and oh boy were they trash. I had some ASICS that I used for gym class at the time and they blew the nikes out of the water. After my first year I went to dick pond which is a local running store and the employee recommended some brooks. They felt a little worse than the ASICS but figured they might break in or something. Never did. After that I tried some sacony shoes and they were very forgettable. One day I went into a foot locker and found some mizuno wave riders that had the same color and very similar design to shadow's shoes from sonic adventure 2, a game I played a lot growing up. They were on sale for way cheaper than the brooks and sacony shoes I bought before so I bought them for the novelty. They were wave riders and they were so good I did a half marathon that same year. I felt like I could go forever. Haven't tried anything else since and don't care to. Now I do boxing on top of my jogging, I couldn't be happier with how long the shoes last
I run in both the Glycerin20's and the WR 26, and the soft, bouncy elements are about identical. Love both of these models, and both are a good upgrade over previous versions.
I have a number of Mizuno shoes and I can attest to their durability. Quality construction but the ride is nothing special compared to competitor shoes at the same price point. I really hope they can develop a more responsive midsole foam that is lighter and can compete better just the way Asics has done in recent years.
Agree that these shoes are best for plods. They almost seem to resist a faster pace: they don’t roll your feet forward nor provide a spring into your next step.
They once led with the first plate in a shoe, but have gone downhill since. 12 mm drop is not the future. I think this shoe is good for old people who walk.
Has anyone had issues with this new model? I swap brands with some regularity and moved from the Brooks Adrenaline 22s/Glycerine 20s back to Mizuno and my god do they feel terrible. Constant foot sliding due to the slipper sole and having to retie due to my feet slipping out of Place and forcing up the mesh top. One run in them and my back of knees, feet and bad left ankle have been in severe pain. Moving back to my slightly worn Adrenalines but man am I disappointed with how these felt 1.5 miles into a road workout
@@TheRunTesters Nope (in theory) but what’s nice is when these are cheaper, I can do the same thing then. I’ve ran in every rider since with 18 - these are far different from the past few riders. At least they feel that way for me. I’d pay more for these. Just enough changes to be better but not a totally different shoe.
@@TheRunTesters as people who get a chance to test these shoes for free it must be nice. When you have to pay full price for shoes you buy last year's shoes on sale. I will never pay full price for any running shoe again.
I don't remember if it was this model or the one before, but I tried on a pair of these and got to run a minute or so on the treadmill. I wanted to like them, but the upper is way too fluffy for me, and the shoe seemed really heavy. Got another pair of Adrenalines instead.
Sorry for being that guy, but I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "mee-zuh-noh" (or just paste "mizu" into google translate japanese -> english for the first part) instead of "mi-zuh-noh"

Like my 25s. Enerzy foam is super durable and the shoe thanks to the wave is very stable......

Mee-zoo-no or Mih-zoo-no. Never My-zoo-no.
Definitely the last one
Sorry Tom, it’s Japanese and it really is Mee zoo no
@@vincewarne228 Brits pronounce everything wrong ;)
I'm enjoying them, so each to their own i guess
Thank you! My foam seemed bouncy and off balance. It was an older model. So Asics? Righteousness. Tadpole. Unknown.

Have you worn them? I’m having a ton of issues with the sole/plate. Really not form reinforcing for me at all
They are my favourite walking shoes.can’t fault them for long walks 👍🏻😁
Classic shoe will prob get this in a year's time when the 27 comes out
Can you review Asics Glideride 3 plz?
Was the wave plate ahead of its time, don't remember any other daily trainers having them a few years ago
Yea but no one will admit it.
Yes, but they haven't kept up.

fair…, very fair.
Not every shoe needs to be on the cutting edge. Consistency is nice.
Very true. But would you pay £140 for a shoe if you could get an older version considerably cheaper that has minimal changes?

I have this shoe and the nb 880. The materials and feel of this shoe are superior imo. The 880 looks and feels cheap by comparison.
I love how you guys don't play when you title these videos 🤣
If these shoes lack modern design then you probably use brooks shoes for flip flops

I got this at Marshalls for 25 dollars 😂 talk about a deal.
This shoe is indestructible and can go to hell and back. Love to run in it as well as in previous versions of Wave Rider
It is only 89 Euro now

He has trouble pronouncing the shoe names.
Have degree in Japanese. 'No ' pronounced short ,as in first 2 letters in 'not'. MIZ pronounced as in mizzen mast.@@davidlynch9049
