You have hit the ball out of the park with this video! It had all the best ingredients - superb locations, a storyline, good humour, really good camera work with clarity and colour, it was almost like being there. It is quite something that the people you met were happy to be interviewed, and you are very skilful at getting the best from them. Those interviews added so much to the story. Your work reminded me of the best that the Beeb used to produce (a long time ago when I watched it).
So congratulations and I hope you can make some more of these documentaries. They deserve to have a very wide audience. Thank you.

We sadly encountered the previous owner of the pub who was not well-liked by the locals who boycotted the place. He refused to serve us a meal and drinks after a few days of hiking and camping over The Munros in the area. The guy who ran the food shack heard about our experience and kindly invited us into his home and cooked us all a meal. Fantastic people and good to see the pub returned to where it belongs. Great video of an amazing place.

Thank you, Eddy. It was a small glimpse into a stunning location and a community spirit that I thought had disappeared. As a boy growing up in a very different part of the world in the late 50s and early 60s (Wallsend), we had precisely that. Everyone knew everyone else; times were more challenging but I cannot recall ever wanting for anything. Everyone mucked in. I miss it.

I was born in Edinburgh but at 5 we moved to London for dad to join the London Police. But for summer we would travel back (by Steam Train) to Edinburgh and a point that always sticks in my mind and a reason why I have traveled to Newcastle for a holiday. Is this.... The train pulls into Newcastle Station (Comming across the bridge over the Tyne seeing all the cross rails) dad gets up, gets out of the carriage compartment goes across the platform to a lady with a "Tea Erne"... Two teas in paper cups and two Steak and Kidney pies. Back to our compartment. Dad says "enjoy a proper cup of tea. It's so strong the (wooden) spoon would stand up on its own".... Then the engine pulls us out of Newcastle (I know it from it's curved platform) on our way to Scotland and our holiday with our families..... Now I'm 78 but still hold LOVING memories of the language and warmth of the Geordie Folk.... So enjoyable to hear your Geordie accent.😊

I'm from a little village myself and inverie is heaven to me I love places like that away from all the noise and hustle and bustle of city life. You're so right community these days where I live I often go months without seeing or hearing from anyone people just don't seem to care anymore.

But we have Festivals in the woods for the Firefighters then for the Sports Clubs. Music festivals. Mountain festivals with or without snow. Summer Town festivals. So? What am I missing? APART FROM NOT PAYING TO GO TO THESE EVENTS? ... Oh! Yes meals in local restaurants.

It’s a Peninsula community with a road that stretches across the peninsula for a couple of miles.
The vehicles are needed to get from A-B in the regular inclement weather conditions, carrying supplies, tools etc for work and for collecting and dropping off the daily supplies from the ferry. Vehicles are essential on the peninsula. But also just for day to day convenience.
The nearest road to the peninsula is 15 miles away

But will white settlers in the community ever be totally accepted ? You should have gone to the beach near mallaig that was where that film about an oil refinery used the location along with other parts of Scotland.
