I saw them in SF at this time.I watched Chuck the whole show…….A fucking beast on the drums. He’s a human metronome but knows what the music needs. So underrated. I raised my drum seat because of him, and it feels better.
Chuck played for Bad Brains....or at least he was there. Saw them in London. YEARS ago.
In recent interview John Christ talked about Chucks drumming and it was just great.
Few points from interview:
-Chuck is held together with ducttape
-Chuck is not sittin on anything, he plays basically standing up on bar stool
-After playin there is sawdust all around kit (rimshots)
-Chucks playing is like bomb went off
-He is awesome drummer
Chuck is fucking awesome. Totally underappreciated drummer.
sick ass chuck biscuits on drums
David Allen
Best line-up imo! RIP Dennis😒🙏
SD clearly has excellent taste in music.....Johnny Cash and the Stones
The bass in this song is perfect
You are not incorrect.
Chuck has the unique ability of making it look so effortless and fun at the same time.
I remember this tour....chuck biscuits on kit.....we went through the majority of the show before realizing it was him....
Easy to do when you hear how much he was holding back at this time. In the early 80’s he was an absolute MONSTER on the kit. Just a blur of furious manic adrenaline. By this time he was just playing like a ‘normal’ drummer. Not bad, but nowhere close to the intensity of his years with DOA, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, etc.
@@Shikta-poobah67 Biscuits and Stevenson are easily the greatest drummers BF, and this whole scene for that matter, ever had
@@MasterOfKnowledge. Yeah, Stevenson is another one of the “big 5” of punk drummers, and unlike Biscuits he never slowed down or “mellowed” his style. He still plays every bit as tight, energetic, and ferocious as he did in the early 80’s, if not more so now. He’s definitely one of the greats. We almost lost him at one point. May he live to a ripe old age.
Smoked a ciggie with Chuck outside of the Marquee in London years ago. He's a good dude.
I so love this version
Rare when a cover is better than the original. Unless your Johnny Cash or Elvis. This is an awesome cover
Haha, but it's not better than the Stones. Come on.
@@fuchsiaswing8545 true….awesome version though
Chucky Bisquits!!!🙌🙌🔥🔥🤘🏻
I have always liked Social D, and this song is also played better then the original artist, so here it is.
Saw this tour in Cincy at Bogart’s. Great guitar music. Three chords and a boatload of attitude. Killer backbeat!
Great band, great song. I do worry about Chuck Biscuits health though, he ain't old but has not been seen in years.
+quim1970 What happened to him ?
@@raphcote1 he passed away in 98' or 99' i dont remember (sorry my english is bad )
@@riseabovevideos1110 no, he did not.
He’s 56 and alive and well!
Walked away from playing music, like completely. He went from being probably the greatest punk drummer of all time to total obscurity. He lives in Seattle and from what I understand works a warehouse job.
one of the best gigs ever...
I got to meet Mike in Athens, Ga. Great guy! Sorry to hear about Chuck. I just found out.
socia D is one of my all time favourite
what a setlist! pretty much all my favorites... short gig though...
muy buena versión !!!
I hear ya. I'm from Orange County myself. The only explanation I can think of is? This video is from 1997. I was in the Army back in the 1990's. This was before the whole "OC" craze. So, when asked where I was from, people from other parts of the country had no clue where OC was. So I'd tell them, It's right outside of Los Angeles.
best bassis best rhythm guitar Mike Ness ever had..
I guess if you can't differentiate
Maximum rock n roll
I was there 😊
la classe !
Chuck is NOT dead.
yeah Chuck Buscuit
Don't Don't get mad but I think this cover is way better than the original
@swantonkincaid No, he got clean 1985. This is from 1997.
Chuck on drums!
chuck sits so high on his throne.... interesting
SD 4 Life
the pentagram cover rules really hard
AphoticAgony yea your right
badass..
That drum set died that day
Such an amazing cover! Prison Bound is a better album overall than the S/T. But the S/T got them thier early popularity so there is that. I love Ball and Chain and some others but still I think Prison Bound was just more inventive.
Nice cover
This is cool.
You're from Fullerton dude. Orange County punk rock
Nice cover guys.
Not a cover...
@@miasworld5427 umm, yes it is lol
_CHARLES🍪MONTGOMERY 🥁_
Just love it when a band "steals" a song in order to dignify it..this one was meant to be punk since it was writen..but the stones didnt see it ;)
Orange County NOT LOS ANGELES HUGE DIFFERENCE LOL
Love this song its so punk rock, You just wanna smash shit LOL
Damn, I miss Chuck
Consider that Ness has traveled the world many times over...I think he realizes that ppl in Germany would have no clue where/what the hell Orange County is....but they all what/where Los Angeles, CA is, close enough. I would assume while in the states, he mentions OC directly. but in the end, who really cares???
failed chucks last name i was to busy trying to see the video and spell at the same time!!
Chuck Biscuits
I think Ness knows where the fuck he's from..
the stones rule
pissed of California punk rock SD is better than this mic stand covered in flowers schtick
Chuck!!
if you have to tell the audience you're playing "california punk rock," guess what? you're not
