Don't mind me.
Just sitting here rockin' my 1990 Ball and Chain tour shirt and banging my head.
drummer is kickin ass!!!!
They'll rock from the grave! Just turned 50, still love ' em!
Everyone gushes over Mike Ness, but it seems to me that the drummer is the real badass in this show :)
Devil's Offspring Chuck Biscuits is the man!
@@matty2x302 Chuck was also the Danzig's original drummer.
bflo1000 He was the drummer in Samhain correct ????
@@matty2x302 I know the original Samhain drummer, Steve Zing, is now playing bass for Danzig. Eerie Von was the original bassist for both Samhain & Danzig. Small world.
bflo1000 I am an always have been an original Misfits fan, matter of fact I was fortunate to see em in early 80’s ( but now I’m old ) when Doyle first joined the band in Philadelphia two or three times. Never much on Danzig’s other stuff. But hey we all have different opinions & tastes right, and yes it’s a small world out there man, especially in the music industry.
Damn this is solid punk, love Social D so much!
Until my dying days - I will always be a punk...
A loser. A misfit.... A Rebel...
And I stand, PROUD.
You tell, them, Mike...
So cal, 80s-90s: Present; Punk, greaser/rockabilly, odd cogg, never did good with authority. "Always hit the biggest motherfucker there." We're the kind of people who don't know a shit load of living folks... But we is who we is.
@@kaedasonata4432 east coast punk right here, early 90's - 2000's. was the outcast, the rebel, always picked on but never ran when they tested me. bless u brothers

Punk = Loser?
No idea where that came from. I always though of Punk as rebellion against apathy, the apathy that poisons your mind when you're forced to live a normal life without feeling into it.
13-14 years of tedious drudgery in school, 50-60 years of brutally hard work, maybe consume some products and produce some babies, and die knowing that the sole, ultimate purpose of your entire life was to make other people rich.
Punk is about trying to give a fuck anyway, when the normal life that's been shoved up your ass since you were little just doesn't cut it for you. That's how I see it, anyway.
I'm a lifelong Johnny Cash fan and I approve this message.
Actually June wrote this song
That drummer...star
I mixed these guys in Sacramento in the 80's at the Crest Theater. As I recall it was a three band show. (Misfits and ....?) By the time Social D. came on, the place was fucking berserk. Security resorted to night sticks. I had 7 foot tall fill stacks to hit the crowd in front of the stage, and these guys would fight their way onto the stage, a 6 foot rise, scramble up the sides of the amp racks onto the tops of the fill and dive off into the crowd. There was a shitload of blood on the floor by the time THAT show was over. The mosh pit was pretty much the whole main floor. One of the most insane club shows I've ever worked or gigged in. Awesome.
Such a great cover
Mike is channeling Elmer Fudd on this one! Love it :)
Ok so it wasn’t me losin my mind, but then again the thought of Elmer bangin out this as he hunts down Bugs Bunny has me stoked!!!
OMG! I was thinking of the Robin Williams imitation of Elmer Fudd! "Firewa!". Sowry folks, that is vaowee terwible of me.
Great job! They start playing it at 1:45.
Fukin pure energy,,, June and Johnny I'm sure approved

holy moly, they are hammering on this one - they must have been amazing to see live when they were on.
Ness is awesome. That drummer is phenomenal!
Chuck Biscuits. best drummer in punk rock history.
@@shinitaisenpai9057 That means Chuck Biscuits has to get together with Scott Shiflett and start a band one day :)
Chuck Biscuits was Glen Danzigs first drummer on his first solo album. Absolute beast on drums.
Yeah, he was on fire here. Loved it.
DOA
Sad part is chuck said he was making more money off of DOA royalties than his entire time with danzig !
I love you Social distortion. Ring of Fire written by June Carter, but you rock it !!!
Also written by Merle kilgore not just June Carter
Love Chuck getting two puffs from a cigarette right at the beginning! I somehow never noticed that.
Social distancing? No, I like Social distortion!
fucking right
One has to be socially distorted as all of us here. And not to be socially distanced from all of us here.
Always brothers and sisters 😊
@@lndestr1234 hey there sugar
Estoy escuchando esta canción a todo volumen son las 1:22 am
Best version out there
This is such a good song
4:03...5:33... they seemed quite into it., as I would have been had I been lucky enought ot be there. The only time I saw them I was stuck up top in a sports arena. Great video of a great show. Don't judge the audience on how the applause was mixed into this soundtrack. I'm sure everyone who was there was very pleased.
Song was written by June Carter. Johnny only had the idea of the mariachi horns but the same chord progression.
He DID say "written by an outlaw's WIFE..." before his dorky "frauleins in black panties" bit.
This really is incredible, fantastic download, fantastic band, thanks again alternativids.
Chuck Biscuits is a legendary punk drummer if you’ve been paying attention - I think he was the original DOA drummer, played in Black Flag before they broke up, I think he worked for like the Descendants, then Danzig recruited him for the first few albums.
Have seen Social D live, but never caught this lineup. Wish I had, with the amazing Chuck Biscuits on drums!
Johnny Cash' the man in Black' is the fore father of rock and punk music.
Fantastic quality, thank you!
Kool s@#t brotha! Thanks Mike for all the great music..
"Wuv... is a burnin' thing, and it makes... a fiwey wing..."
Meth
Elmer fudd?
Social D is f***ing epic.
That energy was amazing Man.Cheers :)
I remember now, I started singing this to Marla K Mayfield on the bus and cut off rather quickly. I lost out to a fan of Ho Chi Minh. Rocks. Free ballin'

WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY GOOD MUSIC IS
Drummer is awesome
Chuck Biscuits R.I.P.
Chuck is still with us, just retired from music though for many years.
The ONE & ONLY, Legendary CHUCK Fuckin BISCUITS bangin’ the Drumset!!
Johnny Cash would approve‼️
June would too! She wrote the song!
Oh I love this band and I'm 64
“That wing of fwiah”. Heh, anyway it rocked.
what a performance
Alfonso Zambrano - When is any show put on by S.D. not a performance, my friend?
The Real thing , tuned up and turned loose in Black , A burnin' Ring of Fire !
Love Johnny Cash and social D all too much to decide between the two but gotta say this version is really the shit
Yeah
Best.Show.Ever.
you were there ?
yeeeh, maybe - well, must be, i can't imagine how people could stay calm with a band like that playing in front of them ...
This crossover sound is what MADE them as popular as they are, and didn't fall the same fate as many contemporaries such as Pistols, Misfits, Germs etc...
First time I saw em was with this lineup!!!
Sweet Jesus, the drummer!
Thanks Johnny!
At the time, I thought these theatrics were ridiculous (including the audience). But years later, I feel that I was correct.
Go Chuck!
I love it ❤️
67 and still love Social D enough to get a tattoo of the social D skeleton
Ness doing Cash...love it!
Outlaw music is always the best!
Actually it was June that wrote that song 0:56
Seeing them in August!
I'm so glad I don't hurt people in the mosh pit any more. Gawd you should have seen me kicking people at the Primus show, but I'm not like that ant more. I don't want to hurt anyone, and I don't want to get hurt. I'm an old guy these days. Mike Ness and SD are still amazing!
Ring of fire huers like a mother
sounds like mikes doing his best tim armstrong impression 90% of the song
brendan burke nope
Closed circuit of alternate current ;)
plain awesome mike ness kicks more ass than anyone
chuck biscuits
Whos the Kelly family hes talking about?
Dedicated to all of us suffering thru This ring of fire 🏖️
Ma' man fell in a ditch of vodka!!! 😂 still luv em'! p.r. fully
the best.
Playing with fire movie
I respect all those who back green day up, they don't make fun of America, they make songs about the flaws pretty much lol
Anyone understand the “kelly family” reference in the song? Just curious what the controversy was there.
From Country Johnny Cash to Punk Rock Social distiortion Cowpunk Cover.
Johnny Cash was a lot more than just a Country singer. That guy was a goddamn outlaw, and one of the first to pave the way for others to come. I generally despise Country, but Johnny was a f*ckin' badass God!
dude mike ness rules.
Johnny Cash, The Real Men In Black, Never Dies
🤘🤘🤘
Is Dr. Teeth aware that Animal took a break from The Electric Mayhem band?
I feel like a child
Ring of fire june carter cash amen
Did Mike have a mouthful of Novocain? Sounds horrible. Thank god for the stellar drumming at least.
Bring me the head of Evan Dando, hahahahahahahahaha!
J Cash would approve.
and anyone saying anything about a punk band doing a cover from JC!¡ uhhhhh Hello!!¡ JC did a duet WITH Nelly a black artist and Kid Rock so please educate
GOTHAM!
Just fawkin A !!!!! 🤘🏽
So who headlined that show?
looks like the palace
Wow...I never been to concert like this....I'd be a little afraid of getting trampled...
Most people as audience have no idea what’s going on
"bownd by ow desire" or was that just me?
Dig it
I mean Tesla :)
Woke up in a gutter after a social show once
Johnny didn't write Ring of Fire. June and Merle Kilgore did.
That drummer is fuckn badass....
hahahahahahahahaha god, this one was good.
No, unfortuonally, Green day is not "anti-american", they have no auto-tune in their songs and there's nothing about hip hop. It's a great power pop/pop rock music, their lyrics are great. I bet you didin't hear any record by Green Day, just saw some pictures of Billie Joe on the internet and started talking shit about them, ironacly it's the same kind of people that go other places saying "I don't care about the visual" and things like that.
!!!!!!!!!!!
What the hell... I thought this was Johnny Cash at first, maybe I should read before I click.
Theres no comparison betwen social D and Green day.. is like comparing billy joel with jhony cash.. just saying.. i like green day too anyways
Social D is more rock than punk, G Day is more of a punk band. Social D was PURE punk when they first formed.
