Hands up who keeps returning to this masterpiece year upon year? It's just criminal that this hasn't had way more views than the current 159K in all this time.
can't say I return to it every year, but it started playing in my head every now and then for the past few weeks and today it suddenly popped back up in my youtube recommendations, so I had to watch it again.
Since I found it a few week back, I can't stop playing this & his Wizball version almost daily! I've shared the hell out of it & just hope he does many more.
@@tonylyon1970 That's annoying. RUclips deleted my initial reply as I included a URL. All I was doing was pointing out that, although these are old recordings now and the channel seems otherwise quiet, Reyn's website seems to show some upcoming gigs in Paris over the next few months... if you happen to be around in town!
Simply stunning, I've listened to this so many times. Let it Reyn! You sir have got some awesome talent. And thanks for the great C64 tunes. It had a massive impact on my life back in 1983, and as a result I worked in IT for the next 30 years - all thanks to that wonderful little thing, the humble Commodore 64. :-)
durch zufall gefunden . bin alter c64 brotkisten jünger .mir sind sofort die tränen gekommen was ein sid magier .das ich so was noch hören darf trotz hörgeräten . danke
You Sir, are a true artisan. I came here from fastloaders; wastelands, after learning of Ben Daglish tragic death, and I never left. This is not just bringing back memories, it also brings lament. Todays games may have the orchestras, but never, I say never, will they have the genious of yesteryear. Well played Sir.
This remains one of my favorite youtube videos ever, even after 15+ years. The music never lost its impact, even counting from way back in my C64 days. But wouldn’t we all love a modern 4K revisited version. One can only hope. Love your work Reyn. Greetings from Tilburg (NL)
Awesome tribute to a great composer by a super talented musician. Loved the game, loved the 8 bit sid tune by Martin Galway and this rendition is technically and creatively outstanding.
C64 and Amiga. good ol times when most of the games and demos was released with remarkable and unforgettable musical stuff. I can remember every note of the commando, last ninja or turrican. But f1 201x or far cry x? Nope. Thats why we have to re-visit such videos time after time. Great stuff sir, thanks for the awesome performance.
Soon the RUclips algo will lift this up to where it belongs - ohh Algo Gods go do your work! And those who come to see shall do the math to calculate what year this was uploaded... in ancient times when RUclips had an upload limit of 10 minutes!
I think this video is a victim of the RUclips conversion off of flash to mp4 that happened a few years back. I remember the quality being much better before.
I am utterly amazed at the talent and skill you display in this demonstration. I have watched this a hundred times, and I continue to watch in awe. You are truly one of my favorite composers, performers and musicians. Please never stop posting these videos!
This is genuinely *incredible*, such a perfectly recreated version of Martin Galway's original. My spine has been tingling for the entire time I have been watching this. Amazing.
Probably one of my favourite remixes from Reyn and indeed from anyone. Never tire of watching this. Unfortunately the keyboard solo at the end is omitted from the mp3 release. His live playing is great - anyone who likes this should check out one of his Sunday Service broadcasts on Slay Radio where he improvises to audience suggestions.
Aaaahhh.... Great. Used to be a 10 year kid, with a tape-player loading the games.... ("Press play on tape") haha Fascinating music.... By Martin Galway and this uber-remix. 24 years ago.... OMG! Thanks guyzz!! Love ya!!!
Awesome work, awesome track, awesome sound. Infinite respect must be given to you for beeing such a great composer, musician and performer. Doing all this live is simply stunning. We are not worthy.
This music production is 3 times longer than most music played nowadays and if the current ones are as long it will mostly wear off fast ... but with Reyn productions you want to hear more :)
More people eat in McDonald's than eat in Michelin star restaurants dude, there's a reason as to why crap music gets millions of links and genius stuff like this only gets a few thousand, don't let it fret you, YOU are one of the very tiny fractional few who have the brains/soul to appreciate this kinda stuff, look at it that way :)
100% agree. only midwits thinks that popularity = quality, because they can't distinguish between price and value. there are thousands of geniuses and talents with very low views out there.
dude this is one of best vids i have seen here. i could just listen to that first rhodes sequence forever..if youtube had 10 stars i would give them for this vid !!!
Hands up who keeps returning to this masterpiece year upon year? It's just criminal that this hasn't had way more views than the current 159K in all this time.
i can listen to this 24/7 non stop
can't say I return to it every year, but it started playing in my head every now and then for the past few weeks and today it suddenly popped back up in my youtube recommendations, so I had to watch it again.
Always a piece I come back to when I am writing music!
Since I found it a few week back, I can't stop playing this & his Wizball version almost daily! I've shared the hell out of it & just hope he does many more.

I find myself coming back to listen to this a few times every year. Love it!
This is such a beautiful and respectful rendition of one of the masterpieces of his peers.
this is an amazing remix. i love this. and the fact he is performing the whole thing alone in real time is just out of this world.
The Mike Oldfield of game remixes.... love it
How this has only got 136K views I don't know. I'm sure I've watched/listened to this much more than this alone!!
me too

I have, and always will, love this performance. I'll playing it again for the 99th time.
I use it as background music during work AND mediations
Now that's what I call MUSIC, unbelievable talent
Still one of my favourite songs. Heard it many times within the last 10 years and can't get enough.
That's epic. I'm lost for words.
Still one AWESOME Track! :-)
I have had this video on my favorites since early 2008, and still watch it often. Well done Reyn. I hope to see more performances like this from you.
The same thing!

one of the most outstanding solo performances ever. so much trance in it as well. an instant classic.
Awesome tribute to a great composer by a super talented musician. Loved the game, loved the 8 bit sid tune by Martin Galway and this rendition is technically and creatively outstanding.
Up for 16 bit? I applaud to you sir! 2021 is hearing you!

Dear Reyn, this is still among the best things I've ever seen musicwise.
Oh my god ! That remix is so perfect ! Reyn , you rock !!!!!
What else would you expect from the man who gave us the awesome Last Ninja 3 soundtrack, especially that intro tune
love the sound of that Rhodes
Even in 240p the audio of this jumps through the screen.I can only imagine hearing it live. Beautiful.
I want the higher quality mp3 version ... but nobody cares :/
I remember first hearing this in high school over 12 years ago, and it's still just as incredible. Time sure flies, but some things never change.

WOW ! That is bloody awesome.
Breathtaking. The C64 and the SID chip is a legend and its memory will never fade entirely. Thank you for a wonderful performance.
This is one of the most epic performances I've ever seen and heard. Truly outstanding.
agree
I think this must easily be one of the best chip tune remixes of all time.
this is the jam of the century...
This is fantastic. I don't normally get too excited over C64 remixes but this is truly amazing. Martin would be proud :)
I played Flip the Flop on the last show. And I've also played Soft and Wet on another show. I made a clip from it.. check the Sunday Service website..
direct link please
I keep coming back to this. Performance and arrangements are beautiful
Hey Reyn! Is is possible to upload in better quality? 720p maybe? :)
I think this video is a victim of the RUclips conversion off of flash to mp4 that happened a few years back. I remember the quality being much better before.

I sense similar vibes of mixed styles: The Edge (Lead Guitar Player of U2) Style playing with Keyboard Player of Supertramp? Super Awesome!
i can't get enough of this.. it's amazing.
Thanks for this and thanks for having been part in making my childhood and youth richer, Reyn! :)
Totally amazing! This deserves 152.284.000 views!
And I’m just back here again, for the uncomfortablest time ❤️
I love how he just keeps adding layers, but the sound never gets too muddy. *SHWING!*
Waw!!! Awesome, I love Galway's music very much, in SID versions are brilliant too, great mood!
8:36 Yeah, that's.... that's my favourite damn part right there. He really does flip out quite hard on that keyboard!
@reyn when will you rerecord it? It's still a hit!
Pure Genius! Thank you so much for reigniting good memories!
Still
