- Aracde1Up X-Men 97 Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Deluxe Just Leaked! Finally some Arcade1Up News but depending on your perspective it might not be what you were hoping to hear. Today on their website, Arcade1Up accidentally leaked a X-Men 87 branded deluxe cab, unfortunately it's just a deluxe rehash of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 done in collaboration with the Disney show. Will fans be interested in this product?

The original X-Men cartoon didn’t start in ‘97, it ended in ‘97. That’s why the new cartoon is called X-Men ‘97 - it’s a continuation from where the last one left off.
Yeah, I was like, no way it started in 1997 because I remember watching it like 1992 it felt like.

Really shows how clueless the current management at A1up is when they can’t even get the correct form factor but not surprised when you have Gen Z Cyrus who has no nostalgia for these products. Sad sad sad.

I don’t get the bad reaction. A lot of people didn’t pick up MVC2. They are releasing it in a deluxe form factor for less than the OG cab. Seems like a win to me.
Plus cool it’s going to be themed for the new X-Men 97 series coming out on Disney+
Don't waste your money even at the discounted price. The online for the Arcade1Up MvC2 cabinet is unplayable because the hardware can't support rollback netcode currently available via Fightcade 2 for free (despite using the MvC2 cabinet using the same Flycast emulator Fightcade uses, because, again, Arcade1Up chose to use underpowered hardware).

@@MrLeerolljankins nah fr tho, I got a copy of MvC2 for PS2, but my PS2 Slim went down a while ago, just haven't gotten around to buying another one. Definitely would love it on the new gen consoles too tho.
@@kgthesupreme713 I used to have it on my old 360 account before I lost access to the account cuz one I made it back in 2006 and don’t remember all the details for it so getting back into it is next to impossible especially since the email associated with it is stuck in digital purgatory and my original Xbox 360 was stolen with the account on it so don’t have a backup of it tragically so a modded 360 with it was the next best thing. Also have the arcade1up cabinet and the Dreamcast version goes to show how much I love this game which is why I would love to actually play it on a modern console like how the Scott pilgrim game was eventually released
I'm hoping the guys who did Streets of Rage 4 and TMNT Shredder's Revenge are making an X-Men '97 game, and maybe that'll end up getting made into a 1up cab. I'd buy that, even if I've already got the cab for X-Men '92. I still want a MvC2 cab, and I love X-Men, but I'm a relative purist when it comes to my cab, and if I get a MvC2 cab, I want it to look like an actual MvC2 cab.

I sold my MVC2 today. Don’t think I will be interested in this one. As more time goes by I keep getting a stronger and stronger feeling A1up won’t be around much longer. Hope I am totally wrong though and they can continue to make improvements and unique arcade themed cabs.
"Accidental..." 🤣 Haha, right. This is their modus operandi... leak a cab, get a bunch of buzz, sell some preorders in a few weeks (i.e., this is the "maybe in March" cab, right?). Either way, it's pathetic: MvC2 games in an MKII cab with X-Men art. It literally makes no sense. And it's not even a proper HS5 XL to at least make it interesting. Hardest pass known to man.
And now we have Marvel versus Capcom collection. You got to love it

Neo Geo was pretty much an arcade cabinet with switchable games. I'd love to see something like that where you can buy individual carts for arcade games
Thank you for giving us great content on your channel Can you connect the KinHank 12TB Hard drive onto the Legends Ultimate HD with the joystick will the joystick fuction work or be compatible to use with blue tooth or is it just the controls it comes with since coin opps x don't work since the update legends released? Also can you add more games to KinHank 12TB Hard drive and how? Thanks
The hard drive would have to be connected to a pc first
This would be sweet if it had xmen 2 player too. Personally i think both this and the kith versions have sweet art on them. Jim lee art or art that represents that cartoon are visions of the xmen that many people have in their heads
I’m new to home arcades. How long can I leave them on for when not playing? Do you guys shut them off when you leave the room?
I wouldn't leave them on all the time if not being used or displayed to others. They're built for home use whereas original cabs back in the day were built to be on all the time in arcades to take money and many were open 24/7 back in the day.
I leave mine on all the time and never had an issue. My oldest one is 4 years old.
If it is on their website it not a leak, it is marketing and creating fomo..
My local Diner has MVC 1 in an MK3 Cab with the MK3 Cab art still on it for the sides.
Are we really still pretending that all these games were Conversion Cabs and anyone would just use any cab they wanted?

Maybe the original XMEN arcade game will be a firmware update later like outrun had turbo outrun. Hopefully
Deluxe size/form is great for this game collection - I don't really mind the unique Xmen art, but do see your point. Could mean the standard art MVC2 will be transposed to the deluxe moving forward as well

X-men: The Animated Series ran from 1992-1996. It had five seasons. Disney is releasing a new series that continues from where the old series lets off. That’s why it is called X-men ‘97
I have zero interest in this new A1Up cab, but we are probably not the target market. I’m with you that there is not nostalgia in these type of cabs. The positive is that A1Up is still chugging along.
How can they be so uncreative with the marquee! It’s literally the attention getter and it has nothing on it! At the very least this will possibly get new players for the online lobbies.
I don't hate the art and of course the deluxe form factor is great, but this cab is a miss. Unfortunately, as we all suspected, it's already looking like 2024 will be another year of reskins of cabs which were already released.
Doesn't this just prove that they don't have a Konami license anymore? No real other reason why this would not be an Xmen cab.

At this point Disney just need to do a solid remaster for the ports. They must have all the licensing if they gonna keep pumping these things out.
No sh!ts given is how I feel about it. Agreed it could’ve been done in the *Street Fighter (or Finger as I prefer to call it lol) dynamo format.
This is a bit of a head scratcher for me, as I simply don't see the demand for this game / cab. Outside of the initial launch it would seem that they are stuck with inventory for the current cab and adding a 2nd one isn't going to help lowering inventory.
I think this just reinforces the lack of direction this company has. My only thought here is that perhaps they had to release something in order to keep from losing the license but that is just a wild guess. I just don't think this helps their cashflow issue and only adds to their challenges.
New management and yet again the same issue I've seen for 4 years with content being pushed out too early on their site. If still happening, I guess nobody was held accountable previously, so no lessons learned were done, no process improvement and here we are :) I think we should help them setup a CMS or help them use the release/publish/make live date/time functionality for content if they already have one :)

If I haven't had an MVC2 Cab, I would have gotten this one. I only care about Fighting Games & MVC2 was the only 1 they had me interested in.
I honestly wish they would just do a real size Arcade with no games on it that we can just hook up are Consoles & PC to it. I would buy that. But since none of these companies that I know hasn't done that yet, I just went ahead & purchased a Qanba 2009 for my Arcade nostalgia.

The cab looks sick but I think an X-Men themed collection would have been nicer. Keep the fighting games then throw in X-Men Clone Wars and Mutant Apocalypse and it would have been really fitting overall.
I was a 80s kid and I would call it awesome or cool us people in our 40s and 50s wouldn’t use the word sick lol😂
This is what we want… nostalgia vibes and authenticity. Recreate the cab make those versions in XL, 3/4, and deluxe and let people choose their size. Who’s promoting these terrible ideas to rerelease the same cabs over and over again. It was a time I couldn’t wait to spend my money. Now I find myself buying 1 per year or every other year because you have to wait on the best version of it 🤦🏽♂️
Nope not interested... hoping they can do better! They just need to shelves these and actually put out a new System or for us game Collectors Port something to the home which hasn't been DONE BEFORE!!!

@@jasontacoma2494 Based on what I saw from the Rexer show, console kits was not disclosing that he was receiving free cabs or insider info from Arcade 1 up by working for them and then was talking about their products as if he was just a fan. Breaks RUclips terms of service regarding disclosure or something.

I’ve been saying they would have something in mid February for weeks. It’s not one that I anticipated though and personally I don’t like the art.
If they are not going to use a pcb that can actually run the game its a waste.

Nope nope nope. Modern audience is not for me. No more hoping the agenda isn’t too loud, I just want it gone. I do not wish to look at this cab and be reminded of everything this culture has ruined. I’ll watch madam web before considering this and the actual cartoon was my absolute favorite.
