Thank you for watching!! During the development of these two colossal videos, I’ve made huge leaps in progress in catching up to One Piece! Still relatively a lot to go, but check out my Thank You video if you’d like to see more details. But in short, the time it takes to make these videos isn’t really sustainable for covering the entire series, and it will get progressively more weird to talk current tense when my original journalings get more and more dated to when I can finally adapt them to a finished video. One piece does such a good job at portraying emotions without any words, but just with action, Luffy giving Nami his strawhat, the strawhats X mark to signify to vivi that they're still friends, and everything else to come just solidifies one piece at the king of non verbal communication when it comes to storytelling Also at 18:100 it reads "Thak you so much for watching my video -Deeroy"

these videos are so fun to watch, as someone who has been watchiing one piece for over 4 years, getting a refresher on the old arcs, as well as a new guys perspective is super interesting, keep it up :D
The animation and soundscape of the climb at the beginning was amazing. putting the Unowns on the Poneglyph is a nice touch as well :D for doing the whole saga in just 1 installment, it flowed really well, never jarring or rushed. great job. Safe journeys on the wild open seas :D
I’ve been a One Piece fan for a while now. Great video, please keep doing these! And I’m so excited for you and for anyone who is starting One Piece for the first time. You won’t regret it.🙌🏽
23 minutes? HOLY damn. Edit: The quality of this video was so good. The way you drew and portrayed the characters was really just really eye pleasing. It just felt like it truly captured who they were. I also really liked hearing your thoughts on the worldbuilding of one piece. I was also fascinated by the concept of the logpose and the way of navigating islands the first time I read it. The video honestly felt a lot shorter due to how much I was enjoying it. I don't really have the right words but it was just a really good experience. As someone with adhd I often tend to space out or pause/get out of a video, but here I just stayed for every second. Really great stuff
I was getting hyped by the length too!! Haha And wow your message means so much!!! You're too kind, that's so cool that it clicked for you 👌Thanks for tuning in 🤝
I started my one piece journey 2 years ago but am all caught up. But I thoroughly enjoy seeing these kinds of videos because it was such a journey for me. And seeing other people have the same journey makes me so happy. It was also my gateway into anime and it was an amazing experience. Hopefully you will keep making these videos because I really enjoy seeing them!
Love the video man. I think it's funny whenever people read or watch Alabasta, and they get surprised to find the one piece community isn't talking about it that much because there is way way better. Alabasta is still an amazing saga though. Also the whole thing with Pel not dying is really interesting because Oda was going to kill him until around the time he wrote it, 9/11 happened. He felt it wasn't a good idea to have someone die to a bomb at that point which is understandable. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the next one and to see the next vid!
Clicked on this pretty fast. Loved your last in-depth review. This is definitely an underrated channel and the quality only seems to be increasing. Keep it up man!
Good. It literally only gets better the more you read. And you will be proud to know. Nobody forgets what that mark means. *Least of all, us the fans....* *Cryptic foreshadowing complete.* Don't rush, take your time, you can only read it for the first time the one time. You will be there with us waiting for the weekly releases soon enough. And one day we will all be there to celebrate the completeion of publication! Its gonna be a wild party!
I am so happy you and your content get the recognition it deserves :) i love whatching people discover the multifaceted world of one piece and it makes me relive those moments of joy, sadness and exitement all over again. I get goosebumps and cry a lot just hearing people talk about those heartfelt moments ♡
I absolutely love one piece and I love when people experience it for the first time! I’m almost 800 episodes in so this is like a throwback for me! Much love, you’ve earned my sub! ❤
Oh my god that opening scene, the animation is INCREDIBLE!!! Truly professional quality. And the way you drew the characters, man you have so much talent! I subscribed for One Piece, but I think I'm gonna stay for whatever you're gonna do in the future, congrats man!
i also just started watching one piece like a month ago, i saw a clip from fan letter and i decided to rewatch the one piece Z movie, and then after that i made my decision to start watching one piece. Just finished alabasta and i would like to say bon clay bond with the straw hats is unironically my favorite moment
I would die for Bon-chan. He is one of the best characters in the whole story. He is a true friend if there ever was one! Sawns never die! We will never forget you Bon-chan! *SO WE WON'T SAY GOODBYE!*
I love watching people discovering and daring to read/watch One Piece and get to know their thoughts of important moments in the series. Can't wait for your next video.
i also just started one piece (at the start of October) currently at chapter 384 and i have been absolutely hooked from the start and cannot wait to be caught! really enjoyed the first two videos of this series and cant wait for more!
its all been a while since i've watched alabasta and east blue and watching you talk about your first experience is an amazing recap. I hope to see lots more of these review vids man!
having seen the thank you video and now this brilliant introspection on the alabasta saga, i think i speak for almost everyone watching when i say that we would love to see more on future arcs, even with the long time between videos and the gap between your current place in the manga and what you're reviewing. even if it became more of a "retrospective", i really appreciate your opinion and view on one piece as a whole, and more reviews would be so much fun to watch, especially for sagas like paramount war, water 7/enies lobby, and dressrosa, though i get that it might not be too creatively rewarding for you to keep spinning your wheels on old one piece arcs for months or years.
as someone whos one piece journey is almost at the point of having to wait for weekly episodes this is so fun to watch i love hearing others one piece journey!
These videos are so well made man. Your opinions and theories are always fun to hear, but anyone can do that. The way you present them though is so fun and engaging. Can't wait to see Skypeia, a personal favourite of mine.
Yeah the 4 kids skipped the whole thing with laboon and shot it like the thing in the way at the bottom was an iceberg or something instead of laboon. And they completely skipped the little garden arc. In the 4 kids we see Mr 3 for the first time in Alabasta, and he’s wearing bandages like something happened, but with them cutting that out, we just have to assume this is a new character. They wanted to get to chopper faster to market more, so that’s why. As you can see even skipping arcs like that can make you lose context. Another reason why 4 kids is infamous.
Bro, keep going, man. One piece just keeps getting better and better. Honestly, you will think, surely it can not get better from here. But then it does 😂. 1131 chapters in and it's better than ever 😂😂😂.
just hearing about those emotional scene, made my eyes slightly teary . Got hit with that nostalgia and really appreciate how easy to understand, yet complex the story was.
Sometimes when I hear people talking about how One Piece doesn't get good until the timeskip or Enies Lobby or whatever I think they've forgotten Alabasta and I think they're blinded by "powerscaling" so to speak since the Baroque Works agents while a huge threat here obviously, are laughably weak in the grand scheme of things. I'm of the opinion One Piece gets "good" the moment Buggy is introduced and just keeps climbing with the first big jump being Arlong of course but the second and by far bigger one is Alabasta, if you're somehow still not into One Piece by the end of Alabasta then it's just not for you. Banger video by the way, your visual metaphor of climbing a literal mountain with the names of the arcs is so good.
Im re-reading one piece after several years of following the show and I'm really enjoying your videos. It's great to hear another person's thoughts on it from the beginning, because I'm realizing I'd forgotten a fair amount of important details and it feels like a whole new experience. I'm happy that other people are also enjoying the beginning of the legend even in 2024. I know 1000+ chapters is A LOT for most people 😅
I watched one piece years ago when there was only around 600 episodes. Been wanting to start again but also daunted by the sheer number of episodes. I found your channel and love listening to your journey. Don't feel pressured but i'm relying on you for the recap up to where i left off so i can continue without having to rewatch everything haha.
I started watching One Piece after watching the Live action. In 1 years time I caught up with the anime and the Manga (Chapter 1131) But Alabasta still is my favorite for everytime it felt like the Straw Hats were winning. A twist happens with Baroque Works seeming to have back up after back up after back up plans. It was amazing and I loved it. Welcome to the fandom and hope to see more of your videos :)
dude you are such a goat pls keep uploading those videos i started one piece in 2015 and its still my fav anime/manga and im so happey to see what people think about the anime/manga that my entire childhood was about and i literly cant wait untill you get to the corent chapters
This arc was mind blowing for me, it was very intricate and well-orchestrated, you made me remember how thrilling it was, and finally, the climax was perfect, making the whole thing a pure work of art. It still holds in my top 3 favorite OP arcs as i'm caught up now, it might even be my favorite.
To be honest with you I've watch almost every one piece review there is But somehow some way you found a way to summarize the whole Alabasta saga as concise yet still tells the gist of the story I love it
One of my favorite things to do now that I've caught up to the manga is to see newbies go through the series for the first time and see their reaction and speculations.
It'll be fun to see your reactions to future arcs, One Piece for the most part keeps building on its self and improving in quality from arc to arc. I'm around 800 chapters in and looking back Alabasta feels rather simple and small scale in comparison. Hope you enjoy learning more about Robin too, she's one of my favorite crew members
one of my favorite parts of one piece is how the heroes are constantly and substantially losing to their adversaries. it's never just losing to artificially raise the stakes then getting back up to inexplicably trounce the enemy, there are always consequences and character growth that come from losing
These videos have been great man, its been so long since I got a proper watch of the old arcs and these are like the perfectly paced summary videos, keep it up
Been caught up with the manga for a while now, yt recommended your "started one piece vid". Keep it up. I like hearing about how people's experiences are with one piece and reviews like this are perfect to see what their opinions and perspectives about the show.

Haha
And wow your message means so much!!!
That 9/11 thing is just a rumor btw. He never confirmed that.
Our man is back! So happy to catch your new video, I am enjoying watching go through the journey!
5:06 you’re going to be asking that question a lot lol!
6:05 this is not really a spoiler but these bounties were issued 100 years ago so as remarkable as they seem they aren’t even close to accurate.
If you think Alabasta is peak, just wait until you get to Enies Lobby, love your videos, the quality is amazing!!! ❤
18:10 thanks to you for making it!
Do you know someone who can do a Robin and Translate the Incocnito speek 😅
Having you retell the moments makes my heart happy. It's like I'm reliving those moments with you.
16:40 Listen, Zoro (and Luffy as well) can be REALLY smart sometimes.
Amazing video, keep up the great work!
Clicked on this pretty fast. Loved your last in-depth review. This is definitely an underrated channel and the quality only seems to be increasing. Keep it up man!
Thank you this means so much!!!
Good. It literally only gets better the more you read. And you will be proud to know. Nobody forgets what that mark means. *Least of all, us the fans....*
*Cryptic foreshadowing complete.* Don't rush, take your time, you can only read it for the first time the one time.
Gather up all of the crew
It's time to ship out Bink's brew...
This is one of the most succinct yet still in-depth and emotionally impactful summaries of a One Piece arc I’ve ever seen.
i also just started watching one piece like a month ago, i saw a clip from fan letter and i decided to rewatch the one piece Z movie, and then after that i made my decision to start watching one piece.
This is great! The next arc is... Skypia? idk but im waiting for it!
Yes. The next major arc is Skypea.
I love watching people discovering and daring to read/watch One Piece and get to know their thoughts of important moments in the series. Can't wait for your next video.
i also just started one piece (at the start of October) currently at chapter 384 and i have been absolutely hooked from the start and cannot wait to be caught! really enjoyed the first two videos of this series and cant wait for more!
my body is fluttering from all the nostalgia and hype of revisiting the main story, its a good refresher!
Dude, your animations are so smooth! Especially that intro.
its all been a while since i've watched alabasta and east blue and watching you talk about your first experience is an amazing recap. I hope to see lots more of these review vids man!
As The fellow commenter said, You climbing the peak is honestly the best visual metaphor as well as foreshadowing and I absolutely love that
What an absolutely badass intro to the video. ❤
having seen the thank you video and now this brilliant introspection on the alabasta saga, i think i speak for almost everyone watching when i say that we would love to see more on future arcs, even with the long time between videos and the gap between your current place in the manga and what you're reviewing. even if it became more of a "retrospective", i really appreciate your opinion and view on one piece as a whole, and more reviews would be so much fun to watch, especially for sagas like paramount war, water 7/enies lobby, and dressrosa, though i get that it might not be too creatively rewarding for you to keep spinning your wheels on old one piece arcs for months or years.
You truly are gifted my friend. Keep up the good work, really enjoying following your journey into the epic One Piece saga.
Loved this video and glad the algorithm keeps bringing me back cant wait to see what you make next
as someone whos one piece journey is almost at the point of having to wait for weekly episodes this is so fun to watch i love hearing others one piece journey!
I love the commentary on your own thoughts of your older Scripps it’s kind of a funny dynamic
Seeing, that this is your first time, watching one piece
It's honestly so wholesome seeing your reaction
just hearing about those emotional scene, made my eyes slightly teary . Got hit with that nostalgia and really appreciate how easy to understand, yet complex the story was.
Im currently at Wano and its SOOOO GOOOOD! keep on going man you got this!!!
You're peak of a RUclipsr please upload One piece videos consistently
I know 1000+ chapters is A LOT for most people 😅
I ALWAYS love seening blind reactions of One Piece. Enjoy the ride nakama! Ill be following your journey!
Welcome to the community yiu are doing stuffs others dream of continue the great work we will always be by your side
Brazil here! I'm addicted to your videos! How i love a new member in our community
I just love everything about this video
came for one piece, stayed for quality content. keep it up, man this is great!
dude you are such a goat pls keep uploading those videos i started one piece in 2015 and its still my fav anime/manga and im so happey to see what people think about the anime/manga that my entire childhood was about and i literly cant wait untill you get to the corent chapters
I just made it to Skypiea last night. That live action show made a real convert of me. Keep this series up!
Glad you loved Alabasta!
This arc, combined with Arlong Park never fails to win people over on the series.
Your breakdowns and reactions to the series are great! Can't wait to see you cover the next arc
As a long time reader of the manga, I'm enjoying your analysis. Subscribed.
To be honest with you I've watch almost every one piece review there is
But somehow some way you found a way to summarize the whole Alabasta saga as concise yet still tells the gist of the story I love it
One of my favorite things to do now that I've caught up to the manga is to see newbies go through the series for the first time and see their reaction and speculations.
This channel is like domics, but for one piece, I love it
Ussops dream being vague is part of his character, it’s not objective so he has to decide he’s achieved it overcoming his self doubt
I totally understand why Oda himself cried when drawing Vivi begging shouting everyone to stop fighting. It's so visceral!!!
i cant wait for you to reach future saga's, so many things i wanna see your "blind review" for.
man, thankfully you showed the scene 'cause my god that ost is a masterpiece.. still gives me goosebumps even though its been so long
I love these videos. It’s always great to be reminded of my time experiencing this story for the first time and your animations just make it that much better
I'm REALLY invested in your videos
Quality 10/10
I just came across your channel like literally hours before posting this comment and BOYYY am I glad I did.
Already watched your previous video on tackling One Piece for the first time, it was a blast. It was like I'm also experiencing One Piece for the first time again.
Although I just watched all the Animated One Piece Media, watching your video makes me wanna read the Manga :>
Can't wait for your future videos. Glad to be one of your new subscribers!
I just caught up to egghead island today to cut it short it has been an unique and amazing experience watching one piece and no piece of media has had such a grip on me
Fun art and analysis. Thanks for the video! I hope you continue to enjoy this wondefful series!
