Good evening everyone! Welcome or welcome back to this week’s meals of the week folks :) I hope you’ve all had a good week! I’ll join you down in the comments for a wee while 🙃👇💙
Looks delicious. My meals this week were. Monday - Beef curry, rice and garlic and coriander naan. Tuesday - Left over curry with a baked potato. Wednesday - Fish finger sandwich. Thursday - Leek and potato soup with crusty roll. Friday - Left over soup. Saturday - Steak, chips and peas. Sunday - Roast lamb, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli and gravy. Made your caramel tart for pudding (delicious) and had it with custard.
What I do with my curries is buy the mini onion bhajis and samosas as well. To cook them easily and cheaply=defrost them,1 min in micro(the whole lot) and then on my George foreman to brown off after i`ve done the mini naans.
Why dont you change that then and treat yourself??? They`re blooming lovely and you can buy them readymade. I normally have mine with a pile of chips and peas. 🙂
I never have either! I live in Arizona, and there's not much in the way of fish meals here. I'm just starting to like fish. That was a big step for me! I'm definitely willing to give this a go, but I don't know if my family would go for it. 😅

A few years ago all the TV chefs gave recipes for toasted sandwiches all bar used a dry frying pan with bread buttered on both sides perfect toasties quicker and cheaper than heating main oven. Really enjoy your videos 😊

Ooh, Cheryl, had a bit of a shock there at no baked beans with your bangers and mash! But the red onion gravy looked fab, so I guess the peas were the right choice after all! Can I come to your house for tea next time you have this delicious meal?

Cheeseburger pasta has become a big favourite in our house now 😊 We use the frozen jackets but I do them for 5 mins in microwave and then 5 minutes in air fryer

BIG ASK. You're such an amazing cook. Please show us how to use leftovers. Many of us must stretch our food budget as prices are rising rapidly. You do weekly menus. You show us your shopping haul. I feel sure that you're leftovers are probably creative. By that I mean that my famiy rebels at the 'saminess' of leftovers. I'm expected to turn leftovers into a completely different meal. Once I've used Monday's Chili and Tuesday Macaroni & Cheese into Wednesday's beefaroni with a shot of hot sauce, I'm out of ideas (not entirely, bubble&squeak, stir fry rice). I'd love to see videos that included: creative leftovers and also frugal menus for a week. It's really getting hard to feed a family and I want to avoid feeling like it's ww2 rationing all over again (which it already does feel that way) for as long as possible. I hope you're able to figure out what I mean. I fear that I've expressed myself rather badly.
Love your channel, love your videos of the week, love your recipes & your voice is lovely to listen to!!🤣 PS…I think Cumberland sausages are “different” to regular sausages in that the meat is finely chopped rather than minced….& I think they’ve got more thyme than regular sausages…..but I might be wrong on both counts….I seem to recall reading that once??🤷🏻♀️🤣❤️
Oh….& I soooooooo wish we could get those McCain’s frozen jackets here!!! DELICIOUS!!! Regular jackets just aren’t as good!!! Love your filling!! A family fave of ours that I made up is chicken, bacon, fried onion & garlic, sweet corn, mayo, S&P stuffed jackets. Scrummy!!! Even when I make a double batch of the filling “for leftovers,” I wake up to find my boys polished it off late night!!🙄😩🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♀️
Yay! Meals of the week. I will be making the beef macaroni, the mac n cheese, the steak dinner, the bangers n mash, tuna mayo, the fish pie (can't wait for that recipe video) and the toasties. Love ya.
Another great week, I usually do mashed potato on my fish pie, but the pastry looked fabulous. We had Bangers and Mash this last week too, both the ultimate comfort food. particularly as we are heading into colder weather.

Hi Cheryl - I absolutely love your meals of the week but you know that anyway - I have a flare out of my multiple sclerosis at the moment so I’m feeling pretty grotty but I’m trying to stay positive - your dinners once again looks so delicious and tasty. All I’ve managed to eat today Serrano ham, avocado tomato, mozzarella sandwich for lunch ~ But all the nurses and carers are looking after me well and checking on me every 20 minutes even though I’ve got my alarm buzzer ~ I hope you have a lovely rest of the week. Nice meals Cheryl. Well snap, I made a fish pie on Monday, had some hake in the freezer was meant to be using it for another recioe but I had used some of the ingredients to make something else so fish pie it was. I had some tinned salmon in the cupboard so used that, as well as some boiled eggs, gherkins them made a homemade parsley sauce mixed it all together, then a butter parmasen mash potato topping them some mozzarella on top, delicious. I also did pulled pork a few days ago but with the leftovers I topped them with a homemade mac &, cheese, so a sort of mac & pork bake, topped with mozzarella & some panko breadcrumbs, very tasty. Nothing wrong with simple meals , sandwiches & chips lovely. You usually have a bowl of homemade soup as well!!, I'm waiting for your leek & potato soup video
Good evening, Cheryl. Your meals this week look delicious. I am intrigued by the fish pie and the tuna on the baked potatoes. The pie looks lovely and creamy. How do you put together your tuna? You said with garlic mayo and corn. Do you just add garlic to your mayo or is it something you buy? Do you use canned corn or frozen. I love tuna salad sandwiches. I also love baked potatoes. I'm trying to wrap my head around the flavor of the two together. I guess the next time I can get tuna I'm just going to have to try it. It sounds like it would be a light summer type meal when its to hot to want a lot of hot food. Have a good week.
Mine is very easy. Three cans of Bush's Baked Beans any flavor, add dry mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, bbq sauce, some brown sugar, apple cider vinegar and Worcester sauce. Mix and set on low.
