Great Ideas. I made a 30 day menu plan for in case of emergency. It does not repeat. Instead of repeating pasta and rice, I rotated in potatoes, quinoa, couscous and stuffing. It was fun to come up with ideas using what is in the pantry.
It is not common in Belgium to have a foodstorage. We can not buy dehydrated food . For me this is fascinated! I think i'm starting a small storage with canned veggies, Rice, pasta and tomato products. Love watching you cook ! 😍
I absolutely love this video. There are hardly any good quality videos that show how to use your food storage. Especially your augauson farms and thrive life food. I’d love if you made this into a series!
For anyone feeling a recipie is short on protien - just add a can of beans. Black beans, kidney beans, navy beans, or pintos. And that probably makes an additional serving in the meal. Using an immersion blender on one can of the potatoes at the start would make it creamier. Dont ever think a recipie is carved in stone. I have that book.
For everyone complaining..... if you have got to the point you are using your emergency storage for your meals don’t you think you would be rationing your protein and not fixing meals to have a ton of leftovers!
Delighted to stumble across this video today. I followed your link and bought the kindle book version. Now there is hope for my pantry and my hungry hubby. Thank you!
I love this book. I've been trying one of her recipes a week to see how the family likes them. So far they have been really delicious! Love watching you cook and learning new tips from you! Thank you!
This video was fascinating for me to watch 😁 I'm so impressed with your food storage and ability to put all of those things to good use! You always teach me something new and I really appreciate you! I've been watching your channel since you had just gotten braces, and you have remained one of my very favorite channels to watch ❤️ Hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend 😁
Thank you for your great videos and recipes! I wanted to share that the 100-Day Pantry cookbook is part of the Kindle Unlimited program (and therefore free) for any members who might be interested.
I've actually had that book for years and never made anything from it. It's great to see you cooking these recipes! Now I really feel like I need to add even more to my pantry.
We eat lentils and rice or three bean salad once a week in the summer. In cold weather, we eat tuna casserole or a pot of bean soup at least once a week. Tina, Al's wife
I’m so glad that you made a video like this. I also have a food stockpile (but smaller than yours), and it would be nice to occasionally make tasty meals in a pinch from what I have. I’m going to check out that cookbook.
I just bought 3 copies of this book. one for me, my daughter and my sister. I am trying to ease them into food storage and I think this will help. thank you
I really like the recipes you showed. With a few minor adjustments I think some could be in our regular menus and easy to do grid down too. They are the kind of recipes we can adapt to our preferences and what we have on hand. Think I'll get the book, so thank you for sharing!
I can't remember , do you have a dehydrator? I dehydrated so many bell peppers ,potatoes and onions . I've also taught my 8 year olds and 12 year old to use the dehydrator and they're taking fruit leather, vegetable leather, dehydrated veggies, and herbs to the county fair this summer. My 12 year old also canned beef and pickled beets for the fair.
I haven’t watched your channel in quite awhile! First of all you look AMAZING! I’m going to try the recipes that I have ingredients for on hand but would really like to give each of my kids the cook book and gift basket if ingredients for Christmas.
I've been waiting for this! Thank you so much for showing us how to use freeze dried and dehydrated food. You have a gift, everything you shared looks delicious 🤤 Enjoy your day!
Buying fruit and veg in season helps save money. Now is a great time for alot of those things at good prices that go up in the winter, you can freeze fresh produce if you do it right. ( or can it if you know how)
These look like really good food options for emergency food use and lets face the facts that we may need to know what you are sharing! Love and Blessings everyone!
Seems like you could just add some instant mashed potato, and maybe dried milk powder to make that corn chowder a little creamier. I would also sub out beans or canned chicken for the bacon crumbles. I might have to look for this book, it looks very customizable! I'm not a huge fan of bacon or mushrooms, but you could totally switch it with other ingredients!
These look so easy and tasty. I'm just not a fan of canned foods. Maybe because my mom used canned when I was a kid. It was such a beautiful thing when she switched to frozen. Lol I guess when it really comes down to it when you're hungry and canned is all available it won't matter at that point. Lol I'll definitely try these recipes though. They look really great for winter months when something warm and comforting is inviting. I appreciate all your videos and the time you spend sharing.
I have noticed a BIG change in you! You are looking slimmer and younger with a fresh look! What’s your secret girly? I love the recipes you made today thank you!
Thank you for doing this! Everyone shows the freeze drying method but I am not seeing anyone show how to use it. This inspired me and I bought some cans of freeze dried veggies to put in my food storage.
I actually made your corn chowder the other day (with some slight variations, I added cream cheese and reduced cream soup and added broth) Chris & I have Covid, and I wanted to make him something warm and soothing. it was delicious.
I have never made corn chowder but Kimmy and a few of my non-internet friends make it and looks so good. I have the items to make it but waiting on a cooler evening to have soup.
Thank you so much for the recipes it is so nice to see working with short and long-term food storage. On a side note I love your apron can you share where you found it. Can't wait for your next video I am learning so much from you. Have a wonderful day.
Omg I love this video! Never thought of cooking using pretty much all canned food… Awesome . With the prices of all fresh food threw the roof , I will definitely need to try these. I cook all week and weekend are leftovers.. this is a great alternative to buying fresh meats. California right now is insane with over the top prices for everything . Thank you for sharing love this!!
I noticed that your Teflon pan had scratches in it. If the Teflon coating has been breached than it is leaching chemicals into your food. It should be replaced. Other than that the recipes look good. Thanks for sharing some great ideas for using up our food storage.
What does it matter if you don't use a scratched pan don't if you use a scratched pan do it why do so many people have to be in everyone else's business you do you anyway recipes look great
Martha is correct as there are still trace amounts of PFOA as well as PTFEs in Teflon, using ceramic or stainless is a healthier chose...also watch/read documentaries on Dupont, manufacturer of Teflon. According to studies, workers in their factories are have many health issues including an unusual number of cancers as well as miscarriages, YET DuPont has denied any responsibility, stating that everything is "safe"... I encourage you to do your own research though... Have a blessed day y'all..
Those all looked amazing except the corn chowder. I'm team creamy corn chowder. Thanks for this video. I have a 3 month storage and I'm slowly trying to incorporate the freezer dried veggies. This was helpful.
Thank you for these recipes, was racking my brain, on how to make tasty and aesthetically pleasing to eat, please believe I took notes, so grateful, please keep them coming.oh and FYI I have learned so much from your channel, I learned to freeze eggs.😀
I have been liking her book. Been trying some recipes each month to see what we like so I can have them on hand for later. So glad you doing these. Love to see more😍
Very interesting. I am fascinated by this because I have never seen these items in a freeze dried form. I always wondered what they would taste like. I curious though 🤔 when you open your longterm freeze dried items 👉1. How long do they last once you've opened them? 👉2. Now that you've opened them, will you use them as opposed to fresh until they are gone? 👉3. How often during the year do you use your longterm storage? Do you purposely open at least 1 can per year of each item? 🤔
Have you ever used celery seed instead of celery? My kids have texture issues and won't eat celery. However, using the seeds gives the flavor without the texture. Bonus is they store well 🙂
Celery seed and Smoked paprika are the two spices I learned to use this past year. I LOVE adding the celery seed for that flavor. You are right! I'm always on the lookout for a buy on those.
I never even thought of adding celery seed to the dishes! Thanks! I always forget to grab celery at the grocery store as it isn’t something we generally eat. However I do have a bottle of celery seed to use up.
I love watching your videos! Can you share your health and weight loss journey? I am having a hard time and I would love to hear the products and advice you have for middle aged women to lose weight!!
So envious that you are able to freeze dry. Those machine is so out of reach for me. I do purchase ( when I'm able to) buy freeze dried #10 cans (I do have quite a collection) but have not spent as much as those machine's cost. So happy you're able to though. Your family is bigger than mine (3) so purchasing is actually sensible for our needs. Great video!!!
The meals sound tasty but the serving sizes are much smaller than what we would have. I appreciate seeing what the freeze dried ingredient looks like and how it changed after adding it to the pan you were cooking that dinner in.
Great Ideas. I made a 30 day menu plan for in case of emergency. It does not repeat. Instead of repeating pasta and rice, I rotated in potatoes, quinoa, couscous and stuffing. It was fun to come up with ideas using what is in the pantry.

Exactly, and if one wants more protein it's a simple fix...add more!
Oh wow! Thanks for letting us see the freeze dried items, they are spoken so much about but I need saw video's of folks opening and letting us see it!
Delighted to stumble across this video today. I followed your link and bought the kindle book version. Now there is hope for my pantry and my hungry hubby. Thank you!
A great book. It's good to remind people to: rotate & replace as needed. Key in quality of pantry meals.
Can I just say that your haircut is just so stinking cute! That style looks fabulous on you!
Thank you
I love this book. I've been trying one of her recipes a week to see how the family likes them. So far they have been really delicious! Love watching you cook and learning new tips from you! Thank you!
I have her book, too. Fun to try new recipes and change them up to our liking.
I love watching this channel also.

Hurry & stock up. Chyna's Wal* M factories all closed this month.
On an unrelated note your hair looks so good and your makeup is just flawless!
We eat lentils and rice or three bean salad once a week in the summer. In cold weather, we eat tuna casserole or a pot of bean soup at least once a week.

I always break my pasta in half. My mother and grandmother did the same. It makes the pasta go further. Thanks for sharing these meals.

I was thinking the same thing! Ms Kimmie has lost weight. You can see it in the face for sure! 👏🏼
Kimmie thank you so much for doing this video! I’ve been wracking my brain on how to make meals with pantry items! Awesome.
Hi there Kimmy! All these recipes looked very good. Those freeze dried vegetables are pretty amazing 😊👍🏻. Btw…you’re looking fabulous!!!!!😉❤️
Thanks so much! 😊
For the corn chowder, add your freeze dried celery and peppers and then add a good tablespoon of creole or old bay seasoning. Kicks it up a notch!
Thanks!
That sounds yum!
I noticed that your Teflon pan had scratches in it. If the Teflon coating has been breached than it is leaching chemicals into your food. It should be replaced. Other than that the recipes look good. Thanks for sharing some great ideas for using up our food storage.
Actually not necessarily true, because newer Teflon pans should be pfoa free.
also using metal utensils in those kinds of pans is what helps cause the scratches :(
What does it matter if you don't use a scratched pan don't if you use a scratched pan do it why do so many people have to be in everyone else's business you do you anyway recipes look great
Wow since she cooks with her pans everyday I'm pretty sure she's perfectly aware if it's got scratches on it

Everything looked so good. Except the chowder. I like a creamy version as well. Thanks for sharing.
Those all looked amazing except the corn chowder. I'm team creamy corn chowder. Thanks for this video. I have a 3 month storage and I'm slowly trying to incorporate the freezer dried veggies. This was helpful.
You can use fresh potatoes, add a can of evaporated milk and a small box of Velveeta cheese.
Good Morning 🌅 and Happy Thursday thanks for sharing ❤️
Looks really good.. great idea on the first one 👍
Wow Kimmyyouare looking great! Love your new haircut😃

I like the way you shop with your basket...lol
All of these recipes look really good. I'm going to try the stroganoff the one with the broccoli and linguine. I think they would be my favorites!

It’s worth it
This was fantastic!!!!!
Awesome recipes! I’ll be making a few of these. We have so much Thrive that needs to be used….
Loved this!!
seriously some great ideas as I am always continuing to keep my stock up....Ill buy some of these things to have for these recipes vs randomly buying!
Have you ever used celery seed instead of celery? My kids have texture issues and won't eat celery. However, using the seeds gives the flavor without the texture. Bonus is they store well 🙂

Lol about ‘cracking’ pasta. I dislike super long pasta and always break if. Even ramen noodles!

I told myself I wasn't buying anymore cookbooks but I'm gonna get this one. LOL
I keep telling myself that but come on, you know that isn't happening. LOL
The thumbnail made me laugh so hard - "I can't believe it's food storage" :-D
It looks nice Kimmy.
Love these types of videos! Always looking for ways to use food storage in delicious recipes.

I would be with you on the corn chowder. I like mine creamy, not brothy. All of them looked really good, especially the broccoli alfredo! Yum!
Love the hair
Thank you
Love your hair!
Great recipes.....now you made me hungry lol
Hi Kim, if you added some of the dehydrated sour cream to the corn chowder it would be more creamy... thanks that was a great video.
