  • Very excited for today's build where we make some excellent use of the new Cities Skylines 2 Beach Assets DLC!! And of course, a bit of PDX Mods. Today we combine those two things to make a stunning luxury golf course! I had a lot of fun building this and hope you all enjoy!!

Maybe a friendly modder is watching and can utilise the district making tool from CS:1 for changing grass types. Splat them down in layers rather than the line tool.
Royal Branston for the course name.
    Thanks for the vid :)

Haha yes a paint-like tool would be amazing for grass and surfaces! Glad you enjoyed it!

I grew up in a community that was built around a golf course. I am going to suggest it as a name for this area. The community is Chartwell, with the Chartwell Golf Course in the center.

Cool "Beach Properties" neighborhood but where's the beach?

I edited out of the video by accident but I was debating on using a beach/sand texture or keeping it grass bc it looked nice still and was going to ask the audience what they preferred 🤦🏽‍♀️

I'm able to reopen the dev mode on my game. The Home key opens/closes the asset window and the Tab key opens/closes the Simulation window. Hope this helps. Not sure why you would be unable to reopen it. I also use the Sand surfaces to make my beaches. Great content by the way!
Edit: I did notice that if you hit the "X" in the corner to close the window, then you can't reopen it, but if you just use the Home button, you can open and close it as many times as you want! :)

Ooooh okay! Thanks for the tip about the home button! I’ll try that next time. I heard others say it couldn’t be reopened and never bothered to experiment myself haha thanks a million! And I think I must have cut it out of the video but I couldn’t decide if I wanted sand or not and was gonna leave it up to viewers lol

Isn’t there a surfaces mod which allows this to be done without developer mod?

I was using find stuff before but it’s not on PDX mods yet. There’s extra landscaping tools but as far as I could see it’s for painting resources but I’ll have to poke around some more to see what’s available. Dev mode isn’t my favorite
