    There's been similar suggestions already, but basically I think two mods (well, a mod and something else) would be a nice light, but also super powerful addition for your needs:
    1. Surface Extension mod for surfaces, would allow you to make real industrial-looking areas as well as have variation in ground color, prettify pavements etc.
    2. DevMode for the ability to plant buildings, sub-buildings and props. Allows for that just slight increase in complexity of detailing, making really nice and believable parkspaces and fixing some of the inherent simulation quirks in building placement, variety etc.

    • @solidXxXtuna
      @solidXxXtuna 11 месяцев назад

      @@twodollarstwentySurface painter is my #1 suggestion as well. I don''t think pdx mods release will change anything preexisting. Can't see them doing anything crazy like blocking all other mods.
      I do worry about changing existing assets. With surface painter you can add your own new surfaces or edit any asset's existing surfaces. While it's awesome to adapt asset surfaces to their surroundings, I got burned with corrupted CS1 saves due to asset issues so out of caution I'm not changing assets and just adding my own. If anything bad happens, hopefully I'm only missing some added surfaces. Plus none of the surfaces are custom so less risky.
      I'm not an expert on how saves work and break though so don't quote me!

      too far bro. Men's mental health is crucial for individual well-being, physical health, and overall life satisfaction. It directly influences a man's ability to navigate challenges, make sound decisions, and excel in personal and professional aspects of life. Prioritizing mental health contributes to positive relationships, challenges harmful stereotypes around masculinity, and reduces the stigma associated with seeking help for mental health issues. Addressing mental well-being is essential for suicide prevention, as men are often less likely to seek help, leading to higher rates of suicide. Additionally, promoting mental health fosters effective stress management, resilience, and an improved quality of life, creating a more compassionate and supportive society for everyone.

    love the sunken railroads, and re-purposed railroad to parks... im from around Cleveland, and we got A LOT of that sort of stuff here and there, including the Erie Canal Towpath that used to link Cleveland all the way down to Akron.. there used to be a lot of logging industry, and you can still see the remnants of that old industry, buried deep in the forests : old roads, railroads, locks and spillways, mills, even some old powerhouses (one has a plaque that says it was struck by lightening and burned down, kinda ironic!)... i think downtown, theres an old raised viaduct that was turned into gardens... it even took some great effort by the art community to declare some of our iconic moveable railroad bridges as monuments. you should look over here for some inspiration! ;)

    Nice that the (future) possibilities [as shown by Sully, and the lightning-options] of the game is bringing you back on the + side. I understand your hesitation on the (unofficial) mod's, and guessing lot of people (including me) have same feeling.
    Detailing a (in use) rail-track with trees is unrealistic: safety would be an issue (certainly on a hill) so a surface change (maybe some small bushes) would be the max in detailing to keep it realistic.

But the main thing i realized about cs2 is that you need to give everything more space for it to look right. The buildings should not be against one another you have to work to create dynamic land breaks and use the vast stretches of land sparsely.

    I'd rather see construction workers that live and work in your city have to build stuff, like in Tropico, instead of the magic crane that pops up and builds everything

    Good. Please tell this to paradox so we can get mods working on the steam workshop and not their extra service they can shut down at any time.

    CS2 only needs mod support. We can fix the other things ourselves. Let us cook CO. Just give the mod support.

    I am not for mods, I am for a community test environment where the mods are made to be future inclusions in the current game and a Alpha version be released by the developers to run alongside the base game so the vanilla game stays untouched. This would advance the game design much faster. It`s great for you RUclipsrs to use mods to make your game look pretty but the game should move ahead and improve the vanilla release. The gameplay is provided for all players to build cities and earn achievements in the game. The mods just divert from the game and split up the player base on an unlevel playing field. I do not hate mods but I think they are being used incorrectly in the spirit of the game.

    I can say CS2 will be revived by the modding community just like how the modding community made CS1 even much more than what it is.

    I have watched over 50 #citiesskyline2 videos and they all look the same just different road layout. Go watch CS1 each city has a personality. CS2 is just depressing to look at, hey but it is in HD.

    What really gets me ... sad is ... Yeah CS 1 was "basic" and not so cool when it got out - it took years with DLCs and Assets and Updates and Mods and whatnot to get it to the point we wanted it but ... CS2 is "broken at its core" ... I'm not so sure they will be able to correct the code and some of the basic problems (like, hilly terrains) are a deal breaker for me. Cant' see that ever going away.
