Great video, Mark. Did you get the email today regarding changes to futures trading at Schwab? In the FAQ, it reads:
"Minimum equity requirements: You must maintain $1,500 in total equity between your securities and futures account to initiate a futures trade. Accounts below the minimum equity will be restricted to closing-only transactions. You must maintain a minimum of $15,000 in total equity between your securities and futures account to initiate a futures trade using reduced day-trade (intraday) margins. Day-trade (Intraday) margins: You will not receive day-trade margins if you hold futures options positions. Day-trade margins will only be available between 8:30 a.m. CT and 3:00 p.m. CT."
The first two sentences seem straightforward, but the sentence that talks about $15,000 equity to initiate a futures trade using "reduced day-trade (intraday) margins" and the next two sentences aren't clear to me. If you know, how would this affect those of us who trade micro-futures like the Micro EUR/USD that have an initial margin requirement of $242 per contract and $220 maintenance.

@@markplymale I've had brokerage for over a year and high yield checking maybe a month now. I just called and they told me with the little funds I have in there is the reason. Rep said checking is .03 interest and brokerage .01 :-( I'm getting ready to close my Wells Fargo Checking and Saving and researching where to get my direct deposit over to. I'm also considering at Discover (.50% APY). Looking at accounts with no minimum requirement, no ATM fees, have checking and savings account. Keep up the great videos. I was just watching one of your 2020 - you've come a long way with being more polished and professional.
