How is this not perfect? Especially for Rock’n’Roll, but the cleans are great. This is why in the middle of all my (mainly) vintage Fender tube amps is a Micro Terror on top of an oversized drip edge 2x12. For rock it’s better than a Quilter for sure. It’s better than most Marshalls lol.
I went with a lighter weight pedal amp, VHT's Redline Micro 6. This small, just didn't see a need for 20W class A/B when a 6W class D works just fine. Throw in a preamp pedal and the Micro 6 will rattle the windows in the house out of a 1x12 & sound pretty good doing it.
A friend of mine has a multieffect Mooer GE150. He practices with just that pedal and his headphones; no amp, no cab, nothing. Just a guitar, cable, pedal. Talking about practicality :D
It's reality for a lot of people nowadays. Amps are loud (or at least they were designed to be played loud). And we all have neighbours and family that hates loud.
I’ve had a micro terror a dark terror and currently a tiny terror. This pedal (amp) sounds like a micro terror or tiny terror for certain! The dark has more gain.
I like it very much, but cmn if you already have a micro dark you dont need to sell it, the only difference is that this comes in a pedal format and that it has a boost,, why you dont just buy this one and suddenly you have a stereo or wet/dry rig, I dont have a micro dark i just bought a th30 but they are basically the same thing in a different format.
Currently using my Micro Dark for the same idea. I cut the box smaller, no feet or handle. Velcroed to the pedalboard. Hope they took another look at the cabsim tho. The one on the Micro Dark sounds like shite. I just use the front end and a seperate cabsim
Trying to remember all the other various preamps and overdrives with 12AX7 valves I already accumulated, and how convinced i was the valves actually do anything rather than just adding a cosmetic glow...??? At least this has a useful added power amp...
Would the Stamp still sound good at low volumes for playing quitely in a flat/apartment? I read one reviewer say it sounded thin at low volumes. Or maybe I can connect the Stamp to my audio interface, then to studio monitors, and control the volume that way?
share the experience man, im thinking on buying this amp and a orange cab with celestion v30 to make the sound of mi helix more real please share if it works
@@ventasdisigno3540 my main objective was to use my pedal board with the orange terror in place of amp. Then DI to mixing board for FOH. What I found for my intent and purposes, it did not have the headroom needed for the style of music we play. It sounds great for lower volume crunch yet not for my needs. I ended up selling it, and bought a Helix as back up. I have a great set up for larger shows, custom pedal board, fender and bogner shiva combo, and what I was searching for is a lower stage volume scenario with less equipment, (no amp) etc. Many use the helix with a cab however for me, that defeats the purpose as I may as well use my regular gear. Thats just me tho, it works for others. Best of luck.
Just got this pedal and it sounds good through my cabinet. Running direct to PA though it only sounded good running a pre amp pedal in to the return and the cab sim/headphone out to mixing desk. Which is kinda weird cause I didn’t think it sounded good with headphones, but maybe it was just the cheap headphones?
I ended up modifying it to be more useful for a direct to PA application or as a distortion box. Too much high end, added a lowpass filter to Volume 1 leaving Volume 2 with the original fizzy tone. Info here: www.moddquad.com/p/misc_4.html
Can this be played silently or do you need a cab connected at all times? I was thinking I could use the line out direct into a DAW and add a power amp + cab emulation instead of using software.
How would you say it compares to the Mini Dark Terror? I realize the pedal form is great just wonder is it actually better or different than the mini heads? I like it either way...I think the pedal platform makes better or at least great sense Thanks
I would like to see the Orange Terror Stamp used with the Airis Effects Nebula Advanced Overdrive and a guitar with high output humbuckers to bring on some molten metal mayhem \m/ You might need to add a noise gate like the Fortin Zuul for good measure
So hold up ... Does this work with my amp or replace it? Also, can I use channel 1 for high gain and 2 for clean? Because I’ve literally been looking for that
Hello. I have heard that valve amp use without a cab results on amp damage. Does this apply to this amp in which the power amp section is a solid state one? I would like to get me a Terror Stamp to mainly use it with the cab sim and no speaker, but I would not like to risk the amp.
I mean how crazy would they be not to make a DARK STAMP and a BRENT HINDS STAMP JIM ROOT STAMP ROCKER STAMP who knows This shit has got to just print money right?
Nice demo! This looks perfect for my one man band! Anything to get the gear size down the better! I’ve gotta carry everything. PA, guitars, drums and all. So ya definitely got to get one as my backup or even as my main small venue rig!?!?! Usually use a Tiny Terror so perfect. I would Rather bring my Peavey USA made Delta Blues 210 but to big and heavy for small stuff.
Bet your balls it is! Had a buddy that worked at the local guitar center. This was a few years ago after the Micro Terror and Micro Dark had hit stores. Associate grabs a Micro Terror head along with a Maxon OD808 to boost the front end. Hooked it into a 4x12 cabinet (can't remember if the cab was a Mesa, Marshall, or Orange) and it sounded so loud and huge and amazing. So that takes care of that

Den-Tin Palevo Joss could make a Squire Bullet sound great. He is human messed up a tad at beginning with tele.
I agree that it would pretty much sound like this through a bullet Stratocaster
95% of the sound is the amp/effects/speaker/eq
awsome
People will have you believe you also need a $$$$$$$ Mac computer to record it properly.
For those watching who don't really know about pedals and don't really know about amps... basically, this is an amp in a pedal.
Gotta love RUclips.
lol nice
fun fact: This amp pedal played General Zod in the 1980 movie, Superman 2.
Sure was a lot better than Michael Shannon
Kneel before Zod!!
@@Damage_Kase_99 Terence stamp played Zod in superman, Shannon played him in the crappy remake
I would have liked to hear the cab emulator.
As someone who owns a tiny terror this is effing awesome. I want one bad.
It's not just the pre-amp tube. Check out strymon iridium. Its that solid state has progressed massively.
The dynamics are quite amazing. It reacts well to different picking attacks.
2:17
Love how that sounds with the wampler XD
I love it, I'll probably buy it because of that sweet wampler sound
So fucking funny
I’ll be honest, it’s hard to find a really transparent tone, but THAT was transparent!
true bypass for sure ....
Well my dog said it sounded fat as hell with a bit of a scoop in the mids

it's a great time to be a guitarist
That's great! I hope that they can/will make a Terror Bass in pedal format.

Amazing, headphones and a fx loop!
But I really wish they would of demo’d it with an orange cab!
Sounds lovely and orangey....with an effect loop you say.... Fits on my board...I got to get me one 😎🔥✌️
Looks like the micro terror went to pedal form. Have a great day. My friends.
That's a mean price considering you can have it on your board and just with headphones emu out for practice.

Actually the tiny terror and dark terror this built from are the same price. 150 bucks.
The high gain on that tele is MONSTER.(stock pickups??) What a great sound.
Yeah the pedal is cool but I need me one of those sofas.
So pleased they've done these as pedals, hope the dark is available too!
they actually mentioned that this is a Micro Dark in a pedal.
bet they are gonna release a “dark” version of this next year

5:15 Reason enough to buy this pedal. That's the sound of rock
I love this!!!! Just what I’ve wanted from Orange!! This and a 2x12 and s tele!! 😍
Awesome demo, sounds AMAZING!!
Sounds fantastic
Sounds fantastic guys! Impressive.
Orange won NAMM this year! Instant win for me!
Dude, have you seen neural??? Victory????
Pleb alert.
Yeah great stuff at NAMM, can't afford a lot of it. I focus on what realistically could end up as my gear.
This amp is pretty much perfect for cheap. Now I need to sell my Micro Dark to fund this.....
Same here!

You running those pedals through the front of your amp or the fx loop. There is a difference
Thanks for the demo.Wonder how it would sound direct into a PA.
I didn't even know that I was wainting for exactly this pedal!
Cool Pedal/Amp for 200 bucks US. I definitely will pick one of these up in 2020.
Isn't this a valvestate without the cab?
Play it with a moderate priced guitar and a solid state amp.
Does it have a hum because of no earth wire? My Orange hums like a chainsaw unless i earth it out!

Well, some people a actually uses the normal micro terror as a backup or Slave boost amp so making it a pedal makes perfect sense.
My dyslexic ass wants to keep calling this thing the Terrance Stamp. But to be fair, both Terrance Stamp and the Terror Stamp are badass!!
Could you potentially use this as a standard pedal on a pedalboard? Regardless I’m definitely getting one. I’m just curious how much it can really do.
Seems like it, with the send functioning as a line out. I'll probably use it that way.
