People who reacted to XG for the first time ask me if there are other groups like them. However, there are no other groups like them. There are, of course, groups that are good at singing, rapping, and dancing, but there are no other groups like XG that produce a wide range of content, such as playing a wide range of music genres in English, covering and arranging American hip-hop and R&B from the 1980s and 1990s, etc. XG is the pioneer. And rather than showing the beauty of women, the video is made like a work of art. This is the group Simon (CEO) wanted to create. Actually, Harvey is a singer singer. There's just nowhere in the group for her voice for most tracks. She has a very angelic voice and you can get a sample of her singing on Howling when she says "so run when you hear the sound," just before the chorus. She's up there with Chisa, but Simon's waiting for the right time to bring her voice out. Cocona can really really SAAAAAAANG too. Same deal, but she's on the opposite spectrum. She's more like Toni Braxton or Anita Baker, as to where Harvey is more like Halle Bailey. Also, if you watch Xtra Xtra, you'll hear Harvey singing. They truly ALL can be considered vocalists. You saw Maya shine. They can all do that.
Yes they all can sing and rap, but most have their strength in one area. Maya is different in that she is actually listed as a main vocalist and main rapper. She's a true rounder.
XG can sing ~ SING. I’m so proud of my Xtraordinary Girls. Yes, they’re speaking JAPANESE but can speak Korean in many interviews. Simon “JAKOPS” during the five years of training going from JAPAN to S. KOREA ensured that they are TRILINGUAL. I’m so happy that you see the perfect dynamics of each member. MAYA & COCONA have beautiful vocal tones. Each member…the Main vocalists are CHISA, JURIA and beautiful blonde one is HINATA. I really love❄️🌸🎄 this SPECIAL SONG. The cover solo’s the VOX Line covered during their WORLD TOUR is INCREDIBLE. They have been covering some of the greats and I cried when I heard CHISA sing Whitney Houston, and then turn around and sing “NEVER ENOUGH”. They pay total homage to their mentors because in their Documentary Series …Simon shows them practicing these same songs. The VOX Line also covered DESTINY’s CHILD” SAY MY NAME”. These young JAPANESE GIRLS are truly making a new path that is breaking POP MUSIC Boundaries. See you on the next one Alphaz. 🐺✨🐺✨🐺
XG has struck me as straight 90s R&B since i discovered them❤❤❤❤😊😊😊 I get SWV, En Vogue, Blaque, and TLC vibes from them. So glad you found them too.🥰🥰🥰
Keep in mind these girls have been training together since 2017 before debuting in 2022. Some of them like Jurin, Cocona, Maya, even longer because they were attending AVEX Artist Academy in Tokyo.
Remember, they spent 5 years of training, from 2017 to March 2022 (debut). Not only did they become perfect dancers, they learned Korean and how to sing in English. They practiced the way their mouths had to move so that their anunciation was on point. These ladies are far superior than most.
Like I said before, I knew that I fell hard for them when I bought the albums JUST to make sure that if this music disappears from the world I have it in my hands like it's gold
Man I had read that the team responsible for creating XG, they cast over 10 000 girls, taking that into account, reducing that amount to just 7 definitely doesn't make you the best person at singing, but it does make you a person with a very integral and complete talent, that's what I love about these girls they are very talented in a very integral way, they are very talented in several aspects, that's one of many things that make these girls so special and unique for me
I’ve just about been holding my breath waiting for THIS reaction. You paused every place I did when it hit me that their vocal range was much more than I ever anticipated. Here’s a cheat sheet on how I remembered some of their names: Hinata - vocalist, usually the only blond Juria - vocalist, usually dark brown hair with bangs Chisa - vocalist, very narrow face and angular jawline, usually has light brown or orange hair This is the song that really put Maya on my radar as a possible all-rounder mvp. Her flow in Woke Up and Howling was untouchable. Her solo in Winter was inspirational. Her technique in dance (MOVE) was nearly perfect. I adore all these girls, but I’m keeping my eye on Maya to see what else she’s made of! Thank you so much for letting us join you on your journey through the XG wormhole. Do a double feature of GIRL GVNG mv + dance practice next! 🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥
OG: LOVE your reactions man! It reminds me of my own journey down the XG rabbit hole. As a 50 something that worked and produced at MTV back in the day, I found myself asking my wife, "How the hell are they this good? Am I crazy?" But over time I realized it wasn't their talent that threw me off it was the packaging. So if A black man can be one of the greatest golfers, or a white girl can become one of the greatest WNBA ballers, we can have an Asian group serving us top tier hip hop r&b. It doesn't happen often but it's a new world and I'm an old Asian man that loves it. Alphaz for life!!
XG's the standard. Balance, talent, skillwise, visuals and personalities, TOP NOTCH, and not one's slackin' which is RARE in a girl group. Extremely extraordinary indeed. ONLY XG.
You ever hear someone sing so good your eyes tear up? That's what happens to me when I listen to XG. I'm not even into pop, R&B, or rap, but I still love everything XG puts out.
I HIGHLY recommend you to react to shooting stars DANCE PRACTICE FIXED VERSION to see how much they really know how to dance (or really any dance practice fixed version of theirs)
You need to listen to "Is this love" "in the rain" for more r&b "New dance" is the song at the bbq that will get people up and dancing "Iykyk" is that groovy dance pop "Left right " is the 90s r&b pop like tlc When I went to watch them, I was excited for the vocal team because they did so many different covers. Beyonce, mariah carey, lady gaga, taylor swift, whitney houston, avril lavigne, and others. ruclips.net/p/PL3puvea_60q74Fx-0zs-bfIG_piYegOnI&si=Iqgax27UN00ALnS6
Whenever XG is lined up like that they are almost always the same left to right H,H,J,J,C,C,M that's Harvey, Hinata, Juria, Jurin, Chisa, Cocona and Maya. There is a rare exception when they are doing some English interviews standing where Maya will be on the left closer to the interviewer because she is the most fluent English speaker
One of their home references in Awich. The queen of Japanese rap. Awich has Atlanta roots. XGs producer Simon went to Georgia to work with producers from Atlanta.
there ain't no one like xg. in the past or current tbh. period! they are truly top tier, in a league of their own. and that's why we all love them!!! :)
I think that apart from the fact that they are super talented and exceptional the music takes us (people over 40) to the old days when we were in our teens and early 20’s, big time nostalgia in their sound! I heard Woke up because it popped up in my feed and I was in owe and from then it has been XG for me, love every single song, their documentary on how they came to be XG is a must watch, they are amazingly good. Btw I totally get the “they will go in my car” statement. Same!!
I have heard this song dozens of times over the past year. It never gets stale. I love the official music video, but I think I love the First Take version more. While I know they're not singing gospel, their harmonizing reminds me of that from my childhood. Voices of the angels.
New sub. They dance every bit as good as they sing and rap. It’s hard to believe but when you get around the their dance videos, Move 1. 2. Amd 3. They are a legit dance crew that can compete with the best. I’m am so here to watch the rest of your XG reactions! I felt just like you when o first heard them. I am 55 years old and have been a rap fan since 1980 when I heard The Message. I have watched rap evolve into what it is today. Never seen anything like XG. You talk about their swag, which they have in spades, but to me it’s their confidence in ladies so young that surprises me! Can’t wait for more! Oh yeah.. what I appreciate most is that they aren’t twerking, performing half naked and not talking about their WAP
Hey! Im loving your genuineness and energy! Really interesting thoughts too, thanks for reacting to XG 🧡 In my case, I love many groups form the world of Kpop/Jpop. There's so many crazy talented young women and men on that side of the globe coming out with insanely creative music. (not "original" like they came up with the concepts/styles etc) more like they sure be taking elements from all over and cooking captivating stuff with it, using them right, Lol), That said, XG to me stands 1000% to their name, they are extraordinary girls. If one takes into account their ages the sheer amount of ability they each individually have is monstruous. They are scary good. Dance, delivery, flexibility, vocals, teamwork, performance, not to mention not a single one lacks in full charisma and personality. (Which sometimes happens in other groups)
Ok your car line made me subscribe lol. Could not possibly agree more the car is sacred ground when it comes to music ❤❤😂 And im glad you watched the first take version. For every reactor that watches the music video for this song, every other comment is just "the first take version is even better" or some variance on that.
I want them to be evaluated as an artist group, not as an idol group, K-Pop, or X-Pop. It's been less than two years since their debut, but they've shown extraordinary skills and performance. The producers, track makers, choreographers, and M.V. filming crew are all extraordinary. Wu-Tang in the back is amazing. Did you get a Wu-Tang Dunk? My house keys have a Wu-Tang key cover 👍 I also got a Wu-Tang Dunk 🔥
Seeing you fall head over heels with XG would be such a beautiful journey. We're here to stay Sir. 😊 Also Maya is the double edged sword of XG. She's the ACE! 🔥😎
LOL I just requested this on your first reaction to them, and then I went to your home page and here it is. I promise you this is the best version of the song. The vocal harmonies are amazing in this take.
So here we go, let's shake up the hornet hest. Some folks got annoyed at the BM and XG rap comparison, saying xg fans are trying to humiliate babymonster somehow, not true in the slightest. So here we go, live vocals vs live vocals, @OG Reacts, check out BABYMONSTER "STUCK IN THE MIDDLE LIVE STAGE" which is a winter era song released last year around the same time as Winter without you.

She's more like Toni Braxton or Anita Baker, as to where Harvey is more like Halle Bailey. Also, if you watch Xtra Xtra, you'll hear Harvey singing. They truly ALL can be considered vocalists. You saw Maya shine. They can all do that.
Love Harvey
Yes they all can sing and rap, but most have their strength in one area. Maya is different in that she is actually listed as a main vocalist and main rapper. She's a true rounder.
If OG even attempts to watch Xtra Xtra (which is their documentary) it is a wrap!! 😂😂😂
💯
因为bing翻译的不太准确,我没有看懂您的意思。
我要到哪里能听到Harvey唱歌呢?能给个链接吗?
Honestly, they speak more Japanese among themselves than Korean, likely because Japanese is their native language.
@ 😉✨🎌
“Only the strong survive in the car”. That’s already a classic line!
YESSS DEEPER AND DEEPER INTO THE RABBIT HOLE!!! Also I feel that car statement so damn true. If it makes it to the car playlist it’s a wrap lmaooooo
XG has struck me as straight 90s R&B since i discovered them❤❤❤❤😊😊😊 I get SWV, En Vogue, Blaque, and TLC vibes from them. So glad you found them too.🥰🥰🥰
XG's only competition is themselves! With each release its as good or better than the previous one!
So far so good!
I thought you were going to pass out for a moment there. I don’t understand either but XG cracked my code, they got me big time!
OG i can not wait for you to react to "In the rain" you will think they're skin color is a bit different 😂
You got the names right OG. clicked right away. Maya is a beast. Wait they all are
Keep in mind these girls have been training together since 2017 before debuting in 2022.
That committment!
Love ur reactions LOL also fun fact cocona won awards for singing before she came to XG ( prodigy)
Here’s a cheat sheet on how I remembered some of their names:
Hinata - vocalist, usually the only blond
Juria - vocalist, usually dark brown hair with bangs
Chisa - vocalist, very narrow face and angular jawline, usually has light brown or orange hair
This is the song that really put Maya on my radar as a possible all-rounder mvp.
🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥
Thanks and my pleasure!
ONLY XG.
I'm glad I'm not the only one overwhelmed and exhausted by their talent
you should also check out their Vocal Line's cover of Losing You by FLO, amazinggggg rnb vocals
You need to listen to "Is this love" "in the rain" for more r&b
"New dance" is the song at the bbq that will get people up and dancing
"Iykyk" is that groovy dance pop
"Left right " is the 90s r&b pop like tlc
When I went to watch them, I was excited for the vocal team because they did so many different covers. Beyonce, mariah carey, lady gaga, taylor swift, whitney houston, avril lavigne, and others.

plss listen to in the rain by xg its soooo good
ohhh you'd also love In The Rain from their newest mini album "AWE"! They all sing beautifully on that track and give early rnb vibes
YES!! The live version at the fan signing❤.... You see their true personalities.. Beautiful ladies
"In the rain" ..live version.. At the fan signing
I say hold off on In The Rain I'm hoping that's what they did for their new The First Take song
I never click a clip this fast lol
Same!😂
Same! I love his reactions because it’s literally the same reactions I had. Mind blown Everytime 🤯
06:35 the question should be how is it possible they aren't being played all across the US radio stations
Exactly!
XG is ranked on the mediabase top 40 radio airplay chart.
They rap and sing on another level
"In the Rain" is pretty good and worth the listen.
My man so glad you discovered XG! Life is better with XG.
Awoooooo!🐺
It really is!
XG is riding in its own lane. No one compares!!!!
All 7 girls are elite fam you should see their live shows videos my favorite group
Please react to Girl Gang next. Don’t forget the full version cuz the MV is the short version
I suggest the MV, then watch the dance practice for the full song plus the dancing.
My reaction to seeing Maya singing for the first time in WWY came with lots of shocking, happy tears.
Same!!
A flawless victory this First Take 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Facts
There are no groups in their homes or ours that can sing, rap and dance at a high level, all at the same time like they can. 1 of 1.
can't wait, commenting before watching, 'cause I know I will be LMAO soon. get ready OG!!!
Lol
This is the top for me and it hits that certain chord😢 and it just doesn’t stop. The all time fave of mine!
Undefeated is a must 🔥
ya boy went through all kinds of emotions....Maya is the all arounder
I have heard this song dozens of times over the past year. It never gets stale. I love the official music video, but I think I love the First Take version more. While I know they're not singing gospel, their harmonizing reminds me of that from my childhood. Voices of the angels.
They definitely took me to church!
Juria looks hot in that outfit, cant wait to see XG at Coachella this coming year. how is it possible? they are aliens bro lol they got the X-Gene
There is nothing like them out there. Unique. They should be on every radio station.
Hey! Im loving your genuineness and energy! Really interesting thoughts too, thanks for reacting to XG 🧡
In my case, I love many groups form the world of Kpop/Jpop. There's so many crazy talented young women and men on that side of the globe coming out with insanely creative music. (not "original" like they came up with the concepts/styles etc) more like they sure be taking elements from all over and cooking captivating stuff with it, using them right, Lol),
That said, XG to me stands 1000% to their name, they are extraordinary girls.
If one takes into account their ages the sheer amount of ability they each individually have is monstruous. They are scary good.
Dance, delivery, flexibility, vocals, teamwork, performance, not to mention not a single one lacks in full charisma and personality. (Which sometimes happens in other groups)
Thanks!
You will love 'Losing You' cover by XG vocal queens.
XG (XPOP) from Japan. 🇯🇵 👍
Ok your car line made me subscribe lol. Could not possibly agree more the car is sacred ground when it comes to music ❤❤😂
And im glad you watched the first take version. For every reactor that watches the music video for this song, every other comment is just "the first take version is even better" or some variance on that.
Thanks for the sub!
Been playing this song everyday since it came out.
addicting! me 2!
Nah, no dunks but they are my all time favorites!
Saw them in the US during their tour and they were so amazing live… great show and their vibe is legit. Love your journey!
angels singing ! literally 🔥🔥
Seeing you fall head over heels with XG would be such a beautiful journey. We're here to stay Sir. 😊
Also Maya is the double edged sword of XG. She's the ACE! 🔥😎
LOL I just requested this on your first reaction to them, and then I went to your home page and here it is. I promise you this is the best version of the song. The vocal harmonies are amazing in this take.
Chisa’s “TELL ME HOW” at the end always hits me sooo haaard ❄️
You’re a real one bro, glad to have your apart of the ALPHAZ fam 🌕🐺
"But can they hold a song song..."
Alphaz... "Pause.... I need to settle in for this."
lol
I love your sincerity in your reactions.
Thank you!
This is what I call a reaction 🎉
Hello,
First I'm going to say there are NO COMPARISONS. It's them in their own category and then there are the other artists in the same boat with each other 🤣🤣
This is the best thing I've heard and I was over here screaming EVER and then you finally said EVER and I said PERIOD❣️❣️❣️
XG~
