Thanks for making this video! Does anyone know if people that I assign tasks to, get notified about it or does this specific task show up somewhere in their inbox/some google application? Or do they have to specifically go inside of the sheets app, in order to see which task they're assigned to?
It's interesting, still don't understand why Google don't offer and app like airtable and notion. A place you can have a form view to edit data, sometimes in a spreadsheet is no fun
Do you have a video on inserting charts using the data in google sheet table? Also, how to use the extensions tab like appsheet, app scripts, macros and looker studio. Appreciate this thank you.
@@pressrepeat2000 that I’m not too sure. I believe Microsoft is focusing more on their app Microsoft loop that has these abilities. Coda is another one but I don’t know if Apple has something similar
Nice video. But I wonder how can I pass the value of a column of the same cell row using the "table[column name]" notation, to use this value in a function call. If I use "table[column name)" as a parameter in FILTER as a condition, it passes the complete range for the function. Any help would be apreciated.
This still has some bugs, for example added 50000 lines to the worksheet when i wanted to convert a table into this new format. I suggest wait and see before anyone uses this for a serious project.
I think you may have misunderstood my point, people all over the world use Google Sheets for project management. I don't think that's optimal, I think one should use a PM system. But, if you're going to use Google Sheets anyways, better to have structured data and baked in views rather than a vanilla sheet.
@@danleeman My thought, in general, is that there's actual proj mgmt platforms. ACTUAL proj mgmt platforms. It's taken Google how many yrs to add a table? That's laughable lol If my next job used Google sheets as task mgmt I'd quit
@@HippieP629 Totally agree with that - not trying to convince people to use this instead. However, for all the people already using Sheets for this (a ton) either they don't have budget, it's ad hoc, etc., then this a better option that using Google Sheets without Tables
Hey Dan ! I loved this video . I work with entrepreneurs like you who have under 15k followers to help them to grow to 100k followers in under 12 months with proper systems . I actually helped Chirag to achieve 92k subscribers in under 11 months . Could I do a free audit to see if I can help you do the same ? I just think it's really important that more people see your content and want to help you on that mission .
Amazing tutorial, exactly what I needed! Thank you!

Great tutorial. Thank you for making it concise and very easy to understand through visualization.
Thanks man, great video! Well explained, detailed, and quick. Good stuff.
Thank you so much for sharing this
Soooo, am I correct in understanding that they are basically just making a prettily formatted table within the table that is the spreadsheet?
... and easy referencing to the columns, which is the main benefit
@sliiiin can you explain what you mean? On mine they appear to have the same column referencing as before?
Airtable has entered the chat
I have been trying to add multiple tables to the same work sheet, not sure if that's possible.
Is there any way to change the grid view to something like a kanban view?
Same here! Have you already get the answer? lol

Hi there, thanks for the video.
Can you hide columns for specific audiences?
It's interesting, still don't understand why Google don't offer and app like airtable and notion. A place you can have a form view to edit data, sometimes in a spreadsheet is no fun
how do I at totals to either the whole table... or even the groups once expanded out?
I'll try this, Thank's Dan
is this also for mobile?
Hi Dan, I'd like to create a table that will display the weekly data for every client. Do you have a video tutorial for this? Thank you!

What software is this similar to? Airtable?
Yea that and click up, asana, baserow…
@@ServantStatusMinistries Cool. Does Microsoft or Apple have anything similar?

Microsoft Loop and Microsoft Lists, but really limited features and not super user friendly
@@georgedouglasmcfly2598 Which one do you think is better?

interesting.. .I wonder if they will integrate more features from google tables into sheets
Any idea on how to get subtotal (sum of numeric column) when grouping by view ?
Same!! how could they over look not allowing for subtotals in a column with this new feature? Guess im back to using pivot tables
Well Add a row on top write =subtotal(109, " your range". Done
How this affecting appsheet?
Have a table forms?
can we integrate bots?
@@dimichaelangelofamilydenti6999 Sure, with an integration platform or Apps Script
i hope they make this better as time goes, would love to just use sheets instead of airtable and sheets and zapier etc etc
Thanks
So how to insert a Normal collumn right next to the Table but not turn it into a table's collumn?
it keeps saying i have put an invalid table name even though i only put letters
Ur great
Missing relations and tagging
I still don't really get why i would use a table instead of just a normal spreadsheet
This still has some bugs, for example added 50000 lines to the worksheet when i wanted to convert a table into this new format. I suggest wait and see before anyone uses this for a serious project.
Go Notion
Looks like they reinvented Microsoft Access.
They’re trying to copy airtable
MS List. But it works from inside Sheets, unlike Lists which doesn't work from inside Excel
😂😂😂 now?? Really ? So many years ago should have had that
Almost a Power Query...
Keep trying, Google....
I' d like to see...
they bought a startup doing this so they couldnt be accused to copy airtable
Airtable is overpriced anyway
Tables, sure. For proj mgmt? Absolutely not
You use unstructured data for project management?
