Had season tickets all through Corey's career with the Bengals, saw both record breaking days. When he got to rolling line backers and safetys backed up. He brought power with deceptive speed.
When he was in MA, I ended up browsing for music next to him at a Newbury Comics - did not bother him, but it was cool to know he was just...out and about. A lot of players never show up anywhere. He was my favorite running back *before* he came to the Pats, him ending up on a championship run was really great.
The boy was a BEAST at Washington and was beast in Cincy. Unfortunately a lot of his prime was missed back in those days. Especially with no NFL ticket in those days. Even though I can't stand NE. I'm glad he got a ring. Just because of how long he stayed and wasted his prime years on those Bungles teams of the 90s.
Defenses would put 10 men in the box against Dillon and still couldn't stop him. It's unfortunate he had to play for the lowly Bengals during most of his career. Loved his running style. He could run you over or run past you.
Wow,this brings me back to a kid. Im from Chicago, and my dad is a die hard Bears fan, but in 86,I was 7 years old,and watched the Bengals/Bears game. I became a die hard Bengals fan over the years,I remember in grade school in the 90s we would play football when we had recess, and everyone would pick there favorite player. I was always Pickens, Dillon, Green, had all there jerseys. I had all there starter jackets, hats, ect. But it was rough being a Bengals fan in the 90s,esp when there best season had 4 wins. Not talking about the 91 team that made the playoffs, but it feels great to actually have a team that wins now,and last year on my bday, the Bengals made the Superbowl. The best present 🎁 would of been a Bengals win, still pissed at that play calling on 2nd-4th down, and couldn't get a yard
Miss the era of big running backs. Imagine having to deal with this monster then Jamal Lewis then Fred Taylor then Mike Alstott, etc. Grown Man League back then for sure.
I'll always wonder what could've been with Ki-Jana Carter but Corey Dillon made the Bengals watchable in the 90's. That includes all 17 starts of the Akili Smith era.
Man, I was a Bengals Fan when I was 7 years old. My late Brother Steve 💙 was A 49ers fan. 😂 I don't have to tell you about that, but I can still 🙈 Louis Breeden drop the 🏈 in the end zone. I won't lie, there for a second I thought we had a safety, interception. Then of course he dropped the 🏈 . There wasn't time to waste worrying, The very Next Play if I remember correctly, was the same exact play but Rice didn't drop it 🏈 😂 He was known for rarely dropping a 🏈. That's the main difference between A Corner or Safety and a Wide Receiver. Hands 🙌. We got beat Twice by The 49ers. It was a Bummer, . Steve 💙 is gone now , and It left a tremendous void in my life and my Family has never been the same. 🏈 Was something I watched with Steve, David , and Craig my youngest brother. I remember Monday Night Football with Howard Cosell, Al Michaels , and Don somebody who played QB for the Cowboys. Memories are all I have now , but that's how it is. Detroit Lion fan/long time NFL fan here. I never heard the moniker "Clock Killin'" for Dillon. Was this bestowed upon him from Cincinnati press/radio/tv?
It's a shame they couldn't have got him a few years later, imagine Corey if he had stuck around for the 05 Palmer season. Him and tequila spikes both forced their way out right as the Bengals were turning it around and I always wonder what could have been.
Palmer proved he wasnt that good in the playoffs with Arians in Arizona...Dillon was superb...Palmer was superbly overrated...I know the knee injury came at a very bad time for Palmer, but it doesnt excuse/account for the way things went for them ove r the course of that era... Brady managed to recover from a scary knee injury and get to 6more SBs, winning 4of them...Palmer recovered well enough...It wasnt the knee holding him back...He didnt have the intangibles and didnt come up big in the biggest moments/games-not to imply he ever had a team around him in Cinci that was good enough to go all the way...The Bengals biggest problem stems from ownership...its the cheapest in the NFL...Coaching staff has been the lowest paid and smallest as is the scouting dept...A franchise can pick up some stellar big names in early portions of the draft operating like that, but the odds are it will always serve to handcuff the team and prevent the bengals from achieving the ultimate goal.
Todd .Chamberlain II Taylor made the Pro Bowl in 2007, when Fast Willie Parker had an injury. Taylor was his replacement. In my opinion, I think Taylor should have been the Rookie of the Year in 1998, but Randy Moss was a bigger story up in Minnesota, by catching all those long TDs from Cunningham.
@@carnationvideos4258 I gotta agree with you. As much as I like Cory I still remember Ray Lewis saying Taylor was the best RB he faced. I loved watching him play. Taylors injuries kept his numbers down. Had he been healthier he'd be in Canton by now for sure...
lou Nicks I agree. He retired as the 15th all time rusher. But the real issue is he played at a time when Tomlinson was scoring 26 TDs per year. Edge James was racking up numbers and staying healthy. Bettis was scoring TDs at the goal line. Priest Holmes went to KC from Baltimore and had the best 3 years of any RB. Cory Dillion was breaking record after record. Curtis Martin played during that era along with Terrel Davis. So many great RB during that time. With all of Taylor’s missed games and a period where the RB were running wild, Taylor doesn’t get mentioned as often.
One of the most overrated RB’s in NFL history. Ran for a bunch of empty calorie meaningless yards in Cincinnati, whined and cried his way to New England, won a cheap ring Basically he pulled a Kevin Durwnt
He made my Bengals watchable, when they weren't. Get this man his HOF jacket.
Man those were rough times bro. Carl Pickens was that dude too but outside of that all we had was Willie Anderson and Jim breech. Lol
He was arrested for selling drugs when he was a youth
Kahrem Favors appreciate that comment
@@everythingbigwillieoline is this the real Willie Anderson?

Clock killin’ Corey Dillon! Beast. One of the most underrated backs ever.
He's got power, but he wasn't the fastest running back, that I've seen.
Did you watch those highlights, the man had wheels!!!
@@largec He was 6'1 225, and he regularly tore off 60 yd rushes, he was extremely fast for his size.
Very underrated RB. Corey was a horse. Big strong and fast and had moves.
Was named after this legend, still shocking he isn't in the hall of fame...what a shame.
I don’t know how he’s not
Cause he didn’t politic to get in the hall like other players
I think he’ll get in at some point, definitely had a solid career.
Same here man
I miss when football was played like this. Corey Dillion and Takeo Spikes two of the best bengals of all time!
💯💯💯💯 I miss it too bro
Had season tickets all through Corey's career with the Bengals, saw both record breaking days. When he got to rolling line backers and safetys backed up. He brought power with deceptive speed.
CORY DILLION deserves ring of honor next year guys. Come on!!!
He should be in HOF dude was a beast
Agreed.
Great and truly underated. He had it all, size, speed, power. HOF 🔥🔥🔥
He was able to get out and flourish with the Patriots and get himself a Super Bowl ring.
He took the cowards way out. Dillon sold his soul for a cheap ring.
C. K. He was traded
What are you talking about “get out and flourish”?? Lmao check his stats with the Bengals he was already flourishing weirdo 😂
@ALF RAYDOUGH he took the easy way out. Wanting to go the Patriots was basically a cowardly decision by a guy who wanted to be carried

Another one....thanks brotha! Cory could ball. Glad he got outta Cincinnati it was a graveyard back then.

Oh yeah and he should be in the Hall, no doubt!
😂
Nope
It would be nice to see him get in, but he’s more of a Hall of Very Good player.
"You'd wonder what he'd look like on a team that's a contender" best part of vid
Very underappreciated he was a beast
Thank you for this video! One of the most underrated running backs in NFL history
One of my favorite rb he was a beast
Who Dey!! Those were BAD YEARS but....
Cory was a man amongst boys!! Got me threw those BAD YEARS!!
THANK YOU CORY DILLON!!!
Just a beast of a runner.

Harold Green gets no love...he had heart.
Be one thing if the cat didn’t have a ring but Corey does and that ‘04 Patriots squad doesn’t become a dynasty without Dillon…HOFer without a doubt
Thanks for uploading! A powerful back indeed
By far one of my favorite running backs of all time!!
Dillon had the all time rookie rushing record and the all time single game rushing record
I saw him in a grocery store in cincinnati back then. I thought, who in the world dare tackle him. Massive man.
Loved his grit
Good work JSN H. This guy is a HOF, ni respect from NFL...I do not understand anymore the criteria to be in the HOF
I'm so glad the pats got dillon a ring. jj
Yep! And he played a huge role!
Dillon was a beast but I gotta tell ya watching Big Willie throw those blocks warmed my heart.
Dillon stayed breaking runs...
With no line

Clock killin’ Corey Dillon 🔥
One of the most electrifying backs I’ve seen. Too bad the prime of his career was spent with the Bengals.
I was so happy when he came to New England, his prime years were wasted in Cincinnati.
Crazy that the best year of his career was in NE! I completely forgot about that until I just looked up his stats. Dude's a legend
Highly underrated and forgotten
Hes so big and watch him outrun those corners. HOF snub
Dillon had 222 yards rushing in ONE quarter in college at the University of Washington.
Monster
He needs to be in the HOF
206 legend

he definitely didnt have the same level of breakaway speed by the time he got to NE yet still ran for 1600+yds in only 15games.
He should have been an All-Pro in 2004…got beat out by Curtis Martin & LaDanian Tomlinson
This video was awesome
Forgot how good Corey Dillon was
AJDillon dreams he looks like this good when he runs 🤣
He was Adrian Peterson before Adrian Peterson
Fuckin facts
Facts
Facts
A meaner Adrian Peterson
Nowhere near as fast tho
Would like to see him play this year, when he was in his prime and get ring with the Bengals
His running style and stiff arm reminds of a lot of AD. He was the proto Adrian Peterson!
Speed & power
Corey Dillon had the most brutal stiff arms....
My cousin was a beast!!
Had great vision and was always breaking loose!
Will keep his Patriots jersey forever!!
Corey look like Most Def and JaRule had a baby together
His rookie year was amazing I drafted him in fantasy and everyone said who is he I said you will see 😂

Crazy burst
Joe Mixon could be like this, but he’s got to show his physicality!
No way...I'd have kept Perine. Mixon has low ypa..not alot if long runs...at best he's a quicker Cedric Benson RIP
My second most unappreciated running backs behind Fred Taylor
May you do Calvin Johnson ?
Can you do Anthony Wright, sadly another forgotten player

Why no hof
Bengals... Enough said.
Willie Anderson is a HOF TOO who wobt ever be considered
People talk about Barry being humble after scoring.. Watch corey. Ball to ref. Maybe a spike. Or gets on a knee and points to sky
He was the most non humble guy the bengals ever had lol
Too bad Mike Brown didn't put anything around it. Corey was still fun to watch. Who Dey.
The voice of Rich Eisen on ESPN
Og espn music lmao😢
The closest Running back that maybe up there with the GOAT Barry Sanders and Jim Brown is Corey Dillon. Easily, CD is the Top 10 best ever.

Fred Taylor missed 55 career games and still had more career rushing yards than Dillion.
