I think this is a good beginner pattern for cables but you might want to practice with a thicker yarn while you get the hang of the cable stitches - Try using medium weight yarn (Size 4) such as Red Heart Super Saver. 🙂
@@Makayla0906 Yes! This can be made as a scarf 🙂 If you used the thin yarn I used it would be on the narrow side for a scarf but you could try it with thicker yarn. To make the scarf just keep crocheting until you get the length you want and don't join the end and beginning so you have one long length. 🙂
I love this pattern. Thank you! I also love this way of doing cables, I have many ideas now for other things. I am going to create a pattern for a bag as my one is already falling apart so this time I am going to crochet my own. Is there a way to donate to you as a thank you? Thanks again! :)
Awww, you are so kind! The best way to support my small business is to watch these videos and visit my blog: celticknotcrochet.com/ You can also purchase crochet patterns from me in my Etsy shop here: celticknotcrochet.etsy.com So glad to hear you love these cables - once you get the hang of them, they can work up fast and look great! Let me know if you need any help with this pattern. Happy crocheting! 🙂
@@celticknotcrochet I will do, thank you! This pattern is great, you have explained it so well that I have no problems with it. I will post it on IG and tag you there. Thank you :)
I think so - you would need to carry the color from front to back to work the cables and it would definitely be more complicated to work the stitches this way - but I think it would look really neat! 🙂
Totally LOVE this. I love to crochet. But I've never done the Cable stitch!!! Its time to try & learn it!!! TFS!! Austin TX USA
