You two continue to come up with the most creative videos. Never disappointing, never boring, always informative and the editing is superb!!! I always appreciate the time you take to explain things. It's never rushed and and you manage to throw in humor. Don't change a thing and continue to be the most authentic couple there is on RUclips!!! Thanks again both of you!!!!
Agree! The quality they put out is so amazing. I'm deathly allergic to fish and still watch all their fishing videos. It feels like a high production TV show.
Eric and Aerial the little mermaid and her prince ! Now a king Triton spear. You both amaze me at how you live do remotely but have such a wonderful relationship . It’s easy to see the love. ❤
Your persistence and love of the outdoors in the frozen north is awe inspiring. Always learn from your clips about new techniques and gear used on your adventures ! 👍👍👍✌✌✌
I just have to say this again. I wish my old dad was alive to watch your videos. His favorite fish was pike. I think because they were tricky to catch, he needed to get into a mind game with them and in the end, they cooked up delicious. He would have LOVED your channel. As do I. Thanks always for amazing content. And for always reminding me of my dad. ❤️
When you said your dad needed to get in a mind game with the pikes, I pictured Bryan Cranston sneaking around a lake in the dark, quietly whispering "Heeeeeere, fishy, fishy.... where aaaaaaarrrre you, Mister Fish?" while dressed as Rambo. And then dropping some dynamite in the hole in the ice and running away, as a giant pike is blasted into the air and the ice cracks.
The road to 1 million is impressive. You guys have grown so much since I first discovered your videos. Keep up the amazing content. Truly is a breath of fresh air on youtube
I've been waiting so long for them to make a little mermaid reference! Now I just want to know if those are their real names and if they're fans of the movie!
Here, across the pond in the UK I woke up this morning early and a bit fed up because of health reasons that involve my heart and lungs. Got up, gave up trying to sleep and switched on my Mac. My mood lifted as I saw a new content from you. Suddenly I was transported into your world and what a difference it made to my mood! Fun, hardworking. authentic and positive couple who may not know what a difference your content can make to someones day. Thank you! 😘
This was so exciting! Congratulations, Eric! Fantastic job at perseverance to both of you! Give yourself credit, Ariel. Just because Eric was the catalyst in no way detracts from your effort. Love ya guys! Thanks for the exciting video! So fun!
Holy moly that spear shot scared the devil out of me. Absolutely spot on first class grade A select top notch tack driving threading the needle accurate ten ring quality made in the USA blazing hell shot wicked magical bad to the bone mind numbing hit.
Loved the video… and all the new things you learned! Project based learning is the best kind… always building on prior knowledge… The old teacher in me is beaming with excitement… because then you share what you’ve learned with others… and the spiral continues to grow! Keep on climbing, Arielle & Eric. Thanks for taking us with you!
You two are so entertaining I feel like I'm there along with you on all of your exciting endeavors although at 73 years old I'm very content to watch you on your journey. Thank you so much for sharing your very interesting and exciting life experiences with all who have found your channel 😊 ❤👍
The opening picture of Eric with that Trident Spear reminded me immediately of "Nik Nack" in James Bond the Man with the Golden Gun. 😀 Great video guy's. Thank you
I grew up in Wayzata, Minnesota. My very first fish was a big mouth bass, but right after that, I caught a 27" Northern Pike. I couldn't believe my luck as I was only 6 years old. We only lived 3 miles from Lake Minnetonka, which was perfect for ice fishing. My Dad couldn't believe it either because my line was only set up for crappie and bluegills. BTW, your spear isn't a TRIDENT. Three prongs make a Trident, but your spear is much better for bringing in almost anything in the water. Whatever you paid for it was probably worth the money. I'm 63 now and no longer live up north. I have to admit that I miss Minnesota and Michigan very much. I've never been to Alaska, but it looks like a beautiful place to live. The two of you remind me so much of my young days growing up in Minnesota. Please keep doing everything just the way you are. The memories you're making are the greatest treasure you could ever hope to have. God bless you both.
Another successful fishing trip, big pike👏🐟I'm always impressed with your drive and the fact that you won't give up trying! I learn something new every episode and look forward to the next time. I really enjoyed the intro on this one.
I just love your video's. I just drop every thing when I yours. I know it is going to be worth while watching. And moth watering food. Goodness that pike look good. 🥰
I love watching you two so much! Great job on your newest experience. Thank you for all your content! It’s the highlight of my night when I get home and see a new video!
Y’all are teaching me the art of patience and persistence ❤ the laugh and pure excitement when Eric finally shot the spear and successfully got a pike was palpable. Kudos!!
Continue to amaze me with your videos always entertaining and I always hope I missed one and if not I'll go back and watch them two or three times you two are the greatest🎉
Congratulations to your first speared pike Eric, first of many I assure you. It is much like hunting, patience, perseverance, stealth, and skill come into play. Love ya'll ❤️, always look forward to seeing more
Awe, I seriously love you guys. I tasted every bit of that chowder with you, my absolute favourite food. Thanks for an amazing video and well done Eric on your 1st speared Pike. ❤
Thanks guys, For sharing. Great video, and great fishing. Take care, all the best, and God bless. A retired North Pacific, Bering Sea, and West Coast fisherman and survivor, ✝️🙏🇺🇸🗽🌩💨🌬️🌊⛴⚓️
Great video, real slick ice glad no one slipped into the hole. New spear sure means business with those barbs. Chickens getting a fresh treat truly a nice gesture. Thanks for sharing.
Everytime I Think About Going On Vacation Or Somwhere Cold I Tune Into A "Simple Living Alaska" Episode and It Keeps Me Grounded..... Yewwww Thanks Guys 🤘🏽💀🤘🏽
Your videos never disappoint! The nature, the teamwork, everything is perfect! Do you guys plan on building the cabin on your second property? Greetings from Germany.
My favourite soup in the world is Cullen Skink, which is a Scottish creamy fish chowder-type soup, similar to what you made. Give it a shot if you're wanting fish soup again soon!
Northern Pike typically spawn in April, May or June depending on where you are & when you get "Spring", or... the timing of ice melt & water temp changes. For us in Red Lake, Ontario, its typically around May/June where you can find giant pike in the shallows, smaller creeks or even water run-off areas snow melt. They will begin to produce eggs early winter but will not be fully mature, ready to be laid in a creek/river/shallows until the Spring!
I’ve been watching these two every week for the last three years at least. It’s weird but I kind of get this comfort like they’re the parents I never had but wish I did? Reliable, adaptable, kind and good morals. When I get caught up in life I think of these videos and remind myself to stick to my inner compass.
I love pike too. The soup bowl looks amazing. Love that you are trying new types of fishing experiences. So loved the dogs cozy in their little trailor with the new heater. hugs
Awesome and Congratulations! You never give up I love that about you guys. 💝🙏💝 passion and determination! 💝🙏💝 Thank you for your videos helping me through my treatment and showing me the beauty of your world. 💝🙏💝

These two are smart cookies. Props
Cut a 1/3 to 1/2 of the soup and add cream, that might help. Looked yummy.
I am sure you two are itching for Spring! Take care!

Save your egg shells, crush them, then drop them in the hole, and light the bottom
@Joe Mach the egg shell will light the bottom
How interesting to light the bottom
Is the idea that the dark fish will be easier to see against the white bottom?
Yes King Triton to go with Ariel and Eric😊
And add lemon drop candies……
Always a joy to follow your journey !
Blessings !!!
What an amazing way to spend a Friday night with a new upload! ❤
