Great , tasteful demo. Pleased to hear the clean sounds and restrained dirt. Too many demos go straight into a metal tone regardless of the guitar. Thank you.
I have both a g5655t and a g5232t and i love them both. The g5655 is warmer and quicker to break up, more ‘raspy’ or has more growl. The g5232t has a cleaner, brighter tone and clarity. A more consonant attack as well, more ‘chimey’. For me, it’s a matter of mood which i pick up. I may swap the 5232t for the single cut 5230t though. After getting the 5655t (i purchased the 5232t first) i started to really notice the neck dive on the double cut 5232t and think the single cut would be more comfortable and balanced. There is quite a noticeable difference in weight between the 5655t and 5230-2 as well.
Interesting post. I have a G5232T and a G5422TG among others. I was suprised at the relative heaviness of the Double Jet vs the Hollow Body. Former weighs 3.8kg latter 3.3kg.
Now that’s how a demo should be done. Beautifully tasteful playing. The effects that you’re using for the gain demo is beautiful. I’d love to know how you get that tone.
I think it's just a clean sound that's overlooked because everyone seems to have no concept of anything beyond gained up overdrive or distortion. I saw Dada years ago and James Gurley's tones were incredible ...He primarily used nothing but a cable and a few pedals with a stock strat and a guitar amp.
Both sound fantastic. Ive got the G5230T and its ridiculously good. And not just for the price. Which is crazy cheap.I have mine set with the strings atop the roller bar to help eliminate tuning problems from the whammy bar and it works very well and costs nothing. Great demo mate.
@@zer08914 Place the strings on top of both bars of the bigsby. in this video the strings are on top of the first bar but then go under the second bar then onto the bridge. this makes the angle of the strings acute. putting it on top makes the angle very flat and you get less tuning problems. it worked for me! good luck.
Fantastic Video! Thank You. Very High Quality Video also, your Definitely Professional Grade both Guitar Playing as well as Video Creation. Thanks for Sharing Your Talent.
I have both models and really enjoy playing them. I play a lot of the music from tutorials by Jack Ruch and Andy Paoli. For some reason, I prefer to go through the learning process using the G5655TG acoustically (unplugged) while I commit the lesson to memory. I like rock, blues, jump blues, and a bit of rockabilly. Both guitars perform well in every style.
@@blackberryblossom its not the same pickups, its the main difference, the pickups in the 5230t have less output, they are filtertrons, on the other guitar they are more humbuckers, they called broadtrone
Interesting. The Jet, I believe, is full mahogany (neck/body) with maple top. 5656 is full maple with spruce center block, that would explain its brightness. It is less prominent on the neck pickup but becomes apparent in the middle and especially bridge position. Then, am I going crazy or is it really so that 5655's bridge PU is a tiny bit closer to the bridge than the one on the Jet?
of the two definitely the 5655 for jazz but truthfully both guitars have "hot" filtertron pickups where jazz is more comfortable with the "cooler" filtertrons.
@@mitchwoods659, the first number is the model. So 2 would be Streaminers, 5 Electromatic and 6 Pro. The other 3 numbers are whether they are single or double cut. Since there are 3 numbers I can't help but wonder if that would include electronics also, like P 90, humbuckers, etc.
G5230T clean: neck(pick) 00:01, neck 01:18, middle 02:16, bridge 3:13
G5565T clean: neck(pick) 00:39, neck 01:47, middle 02:44, bridge 3:42
G5230T gain: neck 05:28, bridge 04:10
G5565T gain: neck 06:07, bridge 04:49
Rockabilly is not all these gorgeous Gretsch guitars can do. Great video. Lovely Sound. Brilliant playing.....and.....no BS!

The semi-hollow seems to have a softer attack. Both are lovely.

One of the best demos ever in Yt
Excelentisimo video , nada de hablar solo dejar hablar a la guitarra en sus diferentes tonos y efectos…

hi, I just bought mine and noticed that it does have some tuning issues on the G string. Could you explain how you set the strings?thanks!

그레치 기타 클린톤은 진짜 선명도가 좋네요
the 5230t is clearer and brighter, the pickups are better, i would choose 5230t
As far as my understanding goes, the pickups should be the same!? But still the Jet seems to have more output and a noticeably different tone.

@@gili41 Oh, okay. Now that explains the difference in tone. Thank you.
Yeh?? I thought the 5655 was brighter and more articulate.
Thank you for this demo!🙏 This was awesome 👏👏👏👏👏
very nice demo
Nice to hear properly dialed in higher gain.

One has Filtertrons the other Broadtrons. That's #1 reason why the G5230T is brighter.
Magic Shop! Nice to hear BTS in a guitar Demo. :)
Of course, the Cadillac Green makes the 5230T sound better 😎. But, I may be "Jaded" since that what color mine is.
Sounds better to my eyes too 😉
i have the 5655t in Cadillac Green and i agree with everything you just said 😎
Thank you so much!
great playing
what's the first demo's song on chord progression. Beautiful back track!
My 5230t don't sound too good, I had to change with tv jones 😮, how you get that sound
필터트론과 브로드트론 느낌 차이가 잘 나타나는 영상이네요
What colour is semi hollow? Looks different than on webside.
Awesome bolero!
클린톤이 진짜 깨끗함 그 자체네요
❤
Would you recommend the g5655t for jazz?

Is the first song "sabor a mi"?
Hi! What is the music at the beginning?
"Que reste t-il de nos amours" (Charles Trenet)
Nice playing...but i was specting some rockabilly with these guitars 🥺
게인은 스톰박스말고 디지털로 뽑은건가요. 약간 그런사운드가 나네요..
last song seems familiar, whats the title of the last song?
Where can find the first one guitar Tab!!!!
name first melody..please
Lovely music, what's the titles?
First song: "Que reste t-il de nos amours" (Charles Trenet)
🤔 thought 1st song was 'I wish you love' Nancy Wilson
Name of the second song?

G5655t vs G5655TG in electronics?
I believe the G just means gold hardware

G5230 vs G5655:

Lovely 👏
