I just activated Apple Card on Apple Pay on my iPhone. Double click on the side button is a great tip. Thank you so much, great video! Question: How secure is to have the most used credit cards on my Iphone if I lost it? thanks.
As long as you have a pin code and face ID turned on, nobody but you can get in.... it's not impossible to be hacked, but it's no more dangerous than anything else wed put on our phones.
Thank you so much! Your lesson is a game changer for me. Very clear and informative. I now know how to use Apple Pay, after owning iPhones for over 10 years or so. LOLZ
Always surprising how some of Apple's best features are underutilized (or never used at all) because Apple is terrible at explaining what their devices can do....
came here to say just that. I have used Apple pay for years but had no idea I could use double tap...that will be great for those store reward cards as well and my car insurance card ;-) Thank you Dylan....All your videos are fantastic. I was almost going to skip this video thinking that I have used my apple pay for years and knew everything about it....Nope, everytime I watch your videos I learn something new
Great information. I thought having my clipper card on my watch would be handy but then when I tried to add it it warned me that it would remove it from my phone. That scares me because if it doesn’t work right then I’m screwed. Any way to have it on both devices.
How do you set up the PIN which needs to be used before clicking to use Apple Pay? Excellent video by the way - was curious as to how/what this was all about and your video was well done, informative and easy to understand!!

Awesome, a lot of people get confused because they think it has to do with an Apple Card rather than an easy way to make payments. Once you really dig into the Apple Pay world, you'll never worry about leaving your wallet at home again.
In my experience of using my iPhone for 'Apple Pay' I've never been charged any extra fee. Over a year ago not many merchants had the 'Tap-To-Pay' credit card readers. Now I find most do with the exception being small business, some of them accept only cash.
Absolutely, but it’s a little bit different. When a website allows Apple Pay there will be a button for it and then you will confirm the purchase by double clicking the right button. You do not need to go into your wallet to use Apple Pay from a website. If the website does not support Apple Pay you cannot use it.
This has been very useful. I set up apple pay but rarely use it, not realizing it is safer than using the debit card. I've not wanted an apple watch but now am rethinking cause I'm notorious about leaving the phone at home. Also, I didn't know I could add gift cards. Last thing, it's a son who lives in North Carolina. :) Thank you!
Glad you got great value out of it, once someone learns how to use Apple Pay, there's no going back because it's just easier than reaching for your wallet. Especially if you have the watch...
That's a good question. 🤔 I haven't encountered that situation before, so I'm not really sure. You could always change your limit for those credit cards... 💳 but my guess is they would send you a verification code or something else to validate that you are the owner. ✅ Or maybe it'll just work seamlessly without you having to worry about it. 🌟 Let me know what you find out! 📩
I understand. These are two completely separate topics. Apple Pay is using your phone instead of your credit card to make payments. Apple Cash is a way that you can receive money from friends and family and send money, like Venmo or PayPal. In a future video, I'll get deeper into Apple Cash and it will make more sense.
YES Any merchant that uses 'Tap-To-Pay' Credit Card Reader will be able to process your "Apple Pay" transaction. The funds will be charged to the (credit, debit, or gift) card of your choice that you've previously setup on Apple Pay in your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or MAC device. I have used mine at Home Depot, Lowe's, Fry's (my local Kroger grocery store), PetCo, Office Max, True Value Hardware, fast food e.g. Taco Bell, McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Panda Express and many, many more.
Welcome! 😊 I'm glad you're learning how to use your new device. Make sure to check out some of my other videos to fill in any gaps you have in your transition. 📹 Let me know if there's something you're struggling with. 🤔
Thx explaining Apple Pay, I read recently lost his iPhone which all his card and the thief not only bought expensive stuff including manage to get a over draft approved and use the overdraft money, so is it safe
🔒 It is locked by your Face ID and fingerprint sensor, so if somebody steals your phone and is able to change that information because you left it open or unlocked, then it's not safe... But as long as you use the proper security tools that are built into your phone, like the PIN code and Face ID, you don't have anything to worry about. 😊 Unless the thief steals your face. 😜
Great video. How do I remove a card from the watch? I have a card I want on the phone but not the watch and I’m having difficulty removing it from the watch.
That's actually a separate functionality called Apple Cash. Start by going into your Wallet and setting up Apple Cash by connecting it to your debit card. Then, when you are inside the Messages app, if you click the + button, you will find the Apple Cash option, and you can send money directly through text.
It seems like you're asking about adding prepaid cards for a payment or purchase process, but I might need a bit more context to assist you effectively. Could you clarify the scenario or platform you're referring to, such as making a purchase through a specific service, or if this is related to a technical issue? Happy to help once I have more details! 😊
What you're asking is actually not related to Apple Pay. It's related to a different service called Apple Cash. Apple Pay is for connecting your credit cards to make payments, while Apple Cash is connecting a debit card to your iPhone so that you can send money to other people. To set that up, go into your Wallet, click on Apple Cash, and click setup. Once you've configured it with your debit card, you can send money to anybody by just going into a text message and typing in the amount and clicking on the Apple Cash button that appears above the keyboard.

Hello from Phoenix, Arizona, I’m in new subscriber. I’ve only watched one of your videos, but I’m really looking forward to going back and watching as much as I can. I’ve got a MacBook Pro M1 iPhone 12 Pro and an iPad and I do use iCloud. But man I could get things better organized and I would love to so much. I would love to learn thanks again.
And if you don’t like using a big bulky phone as your debit, get an Apple Watch. Apple Watch with wallet means you just hold your watch to the scanner.
Try: Settings, scroll down to the bottom, touch Apps, scroll down to Wallet, scroll down to, "Double-Click Side Button" Toggle ON Also, scroll on down to TRANSACTION DEFAULTS you can select or change your Default Card and other information.
The double click of the right button only works on phones that do not have a home button. If your phone is one of those, go to Settings/Wallet & Apple Pay, and confirm that the side button option is turned on.
If you want to use Apple Pay 🍏, you need a compatible payment system. You can get one from Square, PayPal, or other providers. You can also have someone send you Apple Cash directly from their device, but it's a more personal transaction than a business one. I recommend setting yourself up with a proper Apple Pay reader if you need to get paid that way. 💳
I have an iPhone 7 and when I double click the side button it takes me to my locked screen. Is this because my older model iPhone doesn’t have that functionality? Thanks in advance.
Yes, that functionality is reserved for the phones without a home button. For your phone, put the phone into sleep mode then double click the home button for Apple Pay.

It just depends on the website. If the website accepts Apple Pay, it will show up as an option when you go to checkout. If it doesn't support Apple Pay there's nothing you can do to make it work.
Go to settings, wallet and apple pay, and confirm that you have the settings for double click turned on. You also have to have at least one card loaded in. Try those tips and see if it helps.
I don't have one yet because I haven't been using it, and my understanding is that they are going to phase it out since Goldman Sachs (who originally supported the Apple Card) has decided not to work with Apple in the future. Until the new credit company is selected for the Apple Card it's not really something I plan on exploring. But I have added it to my list for the future… Thank you for the suggestion.
Yes, some credit card companies are super smart about setting it up for you! But it's good to know you can do it manually if your credit card company doesn't give you those options upfront..
Have you checked out this video: ruclips.net/video/LpdT0XXJgGE/видео.html It covers some of the best watch tips as well as Apple Pay... check it out, and let me know if you have additional questions! Thanks for watching!
My bank doesn't allow the text notification. The only option I had was to call them. But when I called them they said I have to go into the bank to have them do it for me. They said APPLE was saying I had to go in the bank. Id rather not have any debit card on my account because I already have money on the apple account. BUT everything Ive read says I have to have a card on file
To redeem an Apple Gift Card, on your phone go to the App Store, click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner, and click where it says "Redeem Gift Card or Code". That will put the balance from that card directly into your Apple account, so the next time you need to pay for anything it will come out of that balance.
To pay a restaurant bill, i usually hand my credit card to the waiter, how does it work if i want to pay by apple-pay? I suppose i don't want to hand my phone to the waiter.
More and more restaurants are supporting Apple Pay, but they are one of the last industries to do it in. If you travel abroad every restaurant takes Apple Pay. But for now in the us it’s hit or miss. You can always ask the restaurant to update their tech, but if they don’t use it you will have to give them your card.
Apple makes amazing software, but they never tell anybody how to use it, so you have to play around until you figure it out. Fortunately, I can do the playing around for you and just deliver you the how-to-use-it information. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you… .. Dylan Can you also help me Do some tutorials for “ how to recover instagram password “ without email and without Mobile number pls .. bc I lost my device where I installed my instagram account and worse forgot my password 😢 thank you 🙏
I'm sorry, I don't do anything with Instagram and passwords, that's somebody else's problem. Just not something I have any experience or desire to gain experience around. Anything meta, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp is just not something I put any attention into. I don't like the way that company does things.
Double click thing not working on my iphone 15; as soon as I click it once, it locks my screen. Tried doing it really really fast, same result. Advice?
The first thing to do is to go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay and confirm that the double-click side button option is active. You also need to make sure you have at least one card in Apple Pay for it to work. Once you handle those two things, you should be good to go. Let me know if you have other questions.

I am looking for how to receive payments from a creditor on Apple Pay versus Apple Cash, which is, I guess, how my requests for payment show up. I'm told that request cannot be paid by my creditor on Apple Cash. I need Apple Pay. It's set up on my phone, the default card is chosen, but how do I actually get paid on Apple Pay, vs Apple Cash??? None of these videos show how to RECEIVE money. Only how to pay. Please advise or make a video on this.
OK, so this is a pretty complex question. To start with let’s separate Apple Pay and Apple Cash. Apple Pay is a method by which you make payments from your devices. Apple Cash is a way that you can receive money from recipients. So you can request money through Apple Cash, the recipient has the option to pay it through Apple Pay… Or they can add “Apple Cash“ to an account by connecting it to a debit card. Apple Cash works specifically through debit cards… So if the creditor does not want to do it that way they can make an Apple Pay Payment from one of their connected cards on any of their Apple devices… And you should receive it as Apple Cash. It’s not the best way to do it… Unfortunately it wasn’t really made for creditors it was made for individuals, and quick payments between friends… (much like the early days of PayPal and or Venmo… Although overtime those became well established and easy to use money transferring systems) Because of that, you may want to use one of these more established money transferring methods like Venmo or PayPal. In order to get paid through Apple Cash, the receiver has to connect it to a debit card and upload the money… Which many people are confused about, and unclear on how to utilize. One other piece to add to this, if you have an Apple credit card when you get your rewards back from purchases, it shows up immediately on your Apple Cash… Which means if you want to use it to pay for your Apple credit card you then have to transfer it from the Apple Cash to the Apple Card, which is confusing for many people. I love Apple, but Apple Cash is just not fully flushed out yet and tell more people understand it and start to utilize it it won’t be. Remember, Apple Pay Took forever to gain popularity and it was really only the pandemic and the rise of contactless payments that moved it forward. We’ve got a little bit of time before Apple Cash/Apple Pay catches up with the simplicity of PayPal (who also owns Venmo) and which has been around since the early days of the Internet.
Glad you liked it! 🎉 We host live broadcasts every week where you can ask your questions directly and chat with the community. It’s a fun way to stay ahead on all things Apple-hope to see you in the next one! 😎
Thank you for the suggestion. I think Apple Cash is valuable… But certainly not as easy to use as Venmo or PayPal, and many people have never even explored it. I have added it to my list of future videos and I appreciate you for watching! Thanks!
Websites and online stores can choose to have Apple Pay as an option. If they do, when you go to pay you will immediately see an option that says Apple Pay. Click it and then usually double-click your right-side button to authorize the purchase. It works a little differently than on websites, and if a site doesn't offer it, there's nothing you can do... but for the many sites that do, it's really helpful.
How can I set it up for a child's allowance. I don't want him/her to be able to add but rather I want to add every Sunday for the week. And is balance displayed after every use, i.e., how much do I have left for the week?
Setting up Apple Pay for a child's allowance is a great idea for teaching money management, and Apple has some built-in parental controls through Apple Cash Family. Here’s how you can set up Apple Pay for your child’s allowance, manage the balance, and ensure they can't add money on their own. 1. Set Up Apple Cash Family Apple allows parents to set up Apple Cash for children through Family Sharing. This way, you control the balance and can add money for the week, like an allowance. Here’s how to set it up: A. Ensure Family Sharing is Set Up Open Settings on your iPhone. Tap Your Name > Family Sharing. Add your child to your Family Sharing group if they aren't already included. B. Set Up Apple Cash Family Open the Wallet app. Tap Apple Cash. Choose Set Up Apple Cash for your child. Follow the steps to create an Apple Cash account for them. This gives you parental controls, including the ability to see their transactions and send money. 2. Control Allowance and Sending Money Once you’ve set up Apple Cash Family, you can send your child money every week (like on Sundays) manually through your Wallet app. To do this: Open the Wallet app. Tap on Apple Cash. Choose to send money to your child’s Apple Cash account. You can set a recurring reminder on your phone to ensure you add funds each week. 3. Restrict Adding Money Your child won’t be able to add money themselves, as only the parent can add money to their account. Apple’s Apple Cash Family allows you to monitor their spending and block them from sending or requesting money. 4. Check Balance After Each Use Yes, the balance is displayed after every transaction. Your child can view their remaining balance by: Opening the Wallet app. Tapping on Apple Cash, which shows the current balance. You’ll also be able to view their transactions and balance in the Wallet app under their Apple Cash Family account. 5. Parental Controls Through Apple Cash Family, you can: Set limits on spending. Turn off the ability to send or receive money from others. Monitor every transaction in real-time. Recap of Key Steps: Set up Family Sharing. Enable Apple Cash Family. Add money manually each week. Your child can see the balance after each transaction, but they won’t be able to add money themselves. This setup gives you full control over your child’s allowance while allowing them to manage their spending responsibly. Let me know if you need any further help! 😊
It installs the app. When those prompts are necessary for installation at automatically deactivate the Apple Pay functionality until you have installed the app.

New subscriber and great video thank you ! Going to set up my phone up now .
Very helpful information thanks a lot
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!

how do you use it for online purchases?
It just depends on the website. If the website accepts Apple Pay, it will show up as an option when you go to checkout. If it doesn't support Apple Pay there's nothing you can do to make it work.
Weird, sometimes the dbl click thing brings up Siri? No idea what I'm doing wrong. Other than that, the video was very informative!
Go to settings, wallet and apple pay, and confirm that you have the settings for double click turned on. You also have to have at least one card loaded in. Try those tips and see if it helps.
QUICKLY Double Tap. Sometimes Siri activities if the first 'tap' is too long. (I think Squeeze-Squeeze instead of Tap-Tap)
Hi mate, do you have a video on how to use the savings account?
I don't have one yet because I haven't been using it, and my understanding is that they are going to phase it out since Goldman Sachs (who originally supported the Apple Card) has decided not to work with Apple in the future. Until the new credit company is selected for the Apple Card it's not really something I plan on exploring. But I have added it to my list for the future… Thank you for the suggestion.
If you get the cellular option with your watch, you can leave your phone at home.
Once again, absolutely true! Great tip.
Mine was different. I did it on my online banking app. I went to manage my cards and made one selection and that’s it. Everything was done at once.
Yes, some credit card companies are super smart about setting it up for you! But it's good to know you can do it manually if your credit card company doesn't give you those options upfront..
Is there an option for a pocketless non-watch wearer?
Where do you carry your iPhone? If it is within an inch of a 'Tap-To-Pay' machine it may work.
Thanks for all information I appreciate
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
I use my phone for apple pay but I wish there was a video on how to use it with the apple watch. I have never been able to get it working.

Great video, very helpful
Awesome, thanks for watching! What was your favorite tip?
If I could give you 3 👍, I would! Thank you so much for this clear, simple tutorial. ☮️💙🙏
That's what I love to hear! Thanks for watching, any other topics you would like to see me cover?
How can I use a digital gift card I’m having trouble trying to pay with it yesterday it has 10 pounds on it but I had to pay cash😮
Dose Apple charge a fee for using Apple pay?
No
THANKS MAN
You are very welcome. Glad it was helpful.
I pay cash at restaurants cause my card ain’t going to be handed to some dope addict waiter.
Most business still have a cashier in the lobby by the front door. Just take the Bill Folder to the front desk and pay there.
Thank you so much for the great information. You are a wonderful teacher and I like you very much. 😊
I'm so glad to hear it! Thanks for watching and please let me know if there are any topics you'd like to see me cover in the future!
thanks, their software UX is so unintuitive/bad. this was helpful
Apple makes amazing software, but they never tell anybody how to use it, so you have to play around until you figure it out. Fortunately, I can do the playing around for you and just deliver you the how-to-use-it information.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
@ software isn’t amazing if the UX isn’t good
true.
Thank you… ..

Do some tutorials for “ how to recover instagram password “ without email and without Mobile number pls .. bc I lost my device where I installed my instagram account and worse forgot my password 😢 thank you 🙏
I'm sorry, I don't do anything with Instagram and passwords, that's somebody else's problem. Just not something I have any experience or desire to gain experience around.
Anything meta, Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp is just not something I put any attention into. I don't like the way that company does things.
Thank you for your help. 👍🏼

Glad the video was helpful! And hey, thanks for noticing the shirt!
I truly love your channel and watch you all the time, but Apple Pay DOES NOT support all CREDIT issuers. Thx
This is true, and unfortunate, but they support a large majority of them.
It’s not the best way to do it… Unfortunately it wasn’t really made for creditors it was made for individuals, and quick payments between friends… (much like the early days of PayPal and or Venmo… Although overtime those became well established and easy to use money transferring systems)
Because of that, you may want to use one of these more established money transferring methods like Venmo or PayPal.
Great video thanks!
Glad you liked it! 🎉 We host live broadcasts every week where you can ask your questions directly and chat with the community. It’s a fun way to stay ahead on all things Apple-hope to see you in the next one! 😎
sim swapping???
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Can you be more specific? Swapping SIMs really doesn't have anything to do with Apple Pay.
Thanks for this great tutorial. I'm new to Apple Pay but this helps so much!
I'm so glad it was helpful! If you have any additional questions please let me know!
Can you do a video on using Apple Cash? I think it would be helpful to your viewers
Thank you for the suggestion. I think Apple Cash is valuable… But certainly not as easy to use as Venmo or PayPal, and many people have never even explored it. I have added it to my list of future videos and I appreciate you for watching! Thanks!
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Perfect video
Wow, that's a high mark. So glad you got good value from it. Any specific takeaways you'd like to share?

How do you use Apple Pay for online purchase?
1. Set Up Apple Cash Family
Apple allows parents to set up Apple Cash for children through Family Sharing. This way, you control the balance and can add money for the week, like an allowance.
Here’s how to set it up:
A. Ensure Family Sharing is Set Up
Open Settings on your iPhone.
Tap Your Name > Family Sharing.
Add your child to your Family Sharing group if they aren't already included.
B. Set Up Apple Cash Family
Open the Wallet app.
Tap Apple Cash.
Choose Set Up Apple Cash for your child.
Follow the steps to create an Apple Cash account for them.
This gives you parental controls, including the ability to see their transactions and send money.
2. Control Allowance and Sending Money
Once you’ve set up Apple Cash Family, you can send your child money every week (like on Sundays) manually through your Wallet app. To do this:
Open the Wallet app.
Tap on Apple Cash.
Choose to send money to your child’s Apple Cash account.
You can set a recurring reminder on your phone to ensure you add funds each week.
3. Restrict Adding Money
Your child won’t be able to add money themselves, as only the parent can add money to their account. Apple’s Apple Cash Family allows you to monitor their spending and block them from sending or requesting money.
4. Check Balance After Each Use
Yes, the balance is displayed after every transaction. Your child can view their remaining balance by:
Opening the Wallet app.
Tapping on Apple Cash, which shows the current balance.
You’ll also be able to view their transactions and balance in the Wallet app under their Apple Cash Family account.
5. Parental Controls
Through Apple Cash Family, you can:
Set limits on spending.
Turn off the ability to send or receive money from others.
Monitor every transaction in real-time.
Recap of Key Steps:
Set up Family Sharing.
Enable Apple Cash Family.
Add money manually each week.
Your child can see the balance after each transaction, but they won’t be able to add money themselves.
This setup gives you full control over your child’s allowance while allowing them to manage their spending responsibly.
Let me know if you need any further help! 😊
What happens when you double click the side button to install an app?
It installs the app. When those prompts are necessary for installation at automatically deactivate the Apple Pay functionality until you have installed the app.
Thank you! You literally helped me in real time.
That's awesome! Thank 🫵 You for watching!!!!
Now I know thank you❤
How do I use Apple Pay at ATMs. Never heard of this?
It's really simple. Look for the NFC symbol on the ATM (most have it somewhere near where you insert your card)... hold your phone over the symbol, double click your side button, and voila... just like magic!
