Love these deck techs! I’ve looked for a lot of old write ups on decks over the years but there is almost nothing on RUclips. I especially appreciate the Premier-DS2 decks as we only play original sets. Cheers!
Happy to help fill the gap! This is why we started doing them, because I struggled with the very same thing.

I had a Hidden Base/ Echo Base Operations deck. It won 95% of the time. I could cancel force drains using X-Wings and RFCs. I used weapons, as well. Also, I had two spies and Landing Claw. I could cancel at least 6-7 drains, and retrieve force for the X-Wings and RFCs. I could get EBO out in two turns and HBO in three turns. I used Corellian Corvettes as support and to transport the X-Wings.

An EPP at Forest also satisfies Search and Destroy, which would otherwise do a lot of damage to the all-space deck.
Thanks for another awesome video. I had always tinkered with Hidden Base, but never tried it in an actual game. The closest thing I got to this was a Dantooine Operations deck with lots of X-wing squadrons. Now I just have to figure out what deck pairs well to play against it (since I build decks mostly for thematic purposes these days).
Any suggestions on good resources for Premiere-DS2 decklists?

is there a reason to not play x-wing assault squadron? i was always told it was a must in rebel fleet decks because it puts 3 xwings back into hand from the board
It takes away a lot of your flexibility. For example, you can’t have a weapon on a squadron. Additionally you can’t spread out like you might want to. You want to be able to move around and react quickly, squadrons make that a bit tighter.
