I never played this one, but a friend showed me how one time.

I watched episode 1 with my 7 year old son, he loved it and I really enjoyed it. A Star Wars version of boxcar children?!? Yes, please! I did enjoy that it was Star Wars but not really deep into the canon…at least yet. As Kyle said, I think the barrier for entry is pretty low and most anyone can enjoy it.

Now i can tell my mom i want wasting my money in high school lol

An enjoyable surprise. I think this show benefits not having to have a barrier to entry (knowing a lot of canon and back story) going into it. Even a non Star Wars fan could enjoy this adventure.

Haha I completely agree how Andor completely skewed my perspective on Star Wars. I couldn’t make it past episode 1 of season 3 Mando, it just felt so flat and bland by comparison. Probably unfair to judge Mando by that yardstick. Looking forward to watching Skeleton Crew with a more open mind!

Love this concept! One tip- Seal Off The Bridge and We Must Accelarate Our Plans are essentially the same card. Use 2 of each to make yourself less vulnerable to having them grabbed.

When I was a kid my good friend I played this game with bought all the common and uncommon cards from this set. So he got all of the "holodeck programs" that Steve just called "broken"! He would play Cyrus Redblock and ask me for "the item" over and over again. As well as all of the ridiculous deck manipulation interrupts. It's almost like he took all the broken cards I played personally! I recently looked at the ST1E ban list, a total walk down memory lane. We played all those broken cards lol. I recently came to obtain some Japanese Young Jedi cards (not many, would have to count) as well as a Menace of Darth Maul starter deck box (no starter deck). Wonder if anyone is interested in those.

Never thought I’d hear anyone saying enhanced products from decipher were a good thing. Marketing the trash they couldn’t sell by bundling it with power creep was pretty terrible IMO

Why are the rebels getting snow speeders that can go toe to toe with Blizzard Walkers one on one? This seems to destroy the balance the game had on the underdog being forced to use different tactics.

Jabba Palace belong to Tatooine Sites since it is only exterior site and in a text doesn't say it belongs to a Jabba's site, just Tatooine.

I feel like I've found my people! I have a collection from way back in the day when I was a tournament player. Thought these cards were worthless. I have like 5000 cards and a ton of ultra rares, misprints etc. This is amazing to see. Thanks for the content!

Looks sick, I remember talking about being able to search card texts with someone on the site years ago, glad to see it implemented! Also for whatever reason my ISPs used to block the site, requiring use of a proxy service. Now I have no problem connecting to the site, much better!

Good to hear some of the PC's future plans. I'm here for the nostalgia of the game as it was a big part of my childhood so I'm very thankful for the hard work that the PC has put in on all fronts.

It's so cool this game is still alive on gemp. I wish I wasn't trash at it lol. Maybe I'll join to watch some games to try and understand.

As one of the new players getting into the game I appreciate the community greatly, but find anything digital (Gemp, V sets and errata) an interesting side show, but not worth the effort to delve into. I just love the theme and the simplicity of sitting a table with a friend or three and cards. New ideas are fun pet projects, but the history and resources for the game’s original development are where it is at. Good luck in the search for those dedicated nitpickers for the translation projects! That sounds great.

I don't understand why they decided to do the Star Wars illustrations in cartoon style? It doesn't feel so good to put so much money into it if the card images just don't look timelessly good.

Lorcana is finally coming out in Japan next year. Ravensburger really could have learned from Decipher’s experience.

I've heard Matt say this in multiple videos, "you have 5 years to beat the big 3" Why do you have to beat the big 3? Is it considered a failure if you don't? Can a game not exist on a smaller scale? Look at FFTCG, people do play it(Worlds is next week). It's not big compared to the big 3. The biggest reason for that is square enix does not market the game. I could only imagine what this game could be if they did. They seem content with having a smaller game and not wanting to beat the big 3. There are healthy communities in this game, but you can't find communities everywhere like with magic or pokemon. They still have a competitive series every year with regionals, nationals and worlds. To answer Scott's question about FFTCG releases. They release 3 sets a year(about 130-ish cards each). Usually one supplemental set each year. Given the discussion on the saturation of the market and all the indie games mentioned, I feel like some of these games can exist on a smaller scale. In Flesh and Blood, the game is known as a highly competitive game, but there is also a decent size casual 'kitchen table' player base. These are people that never(or rarely) go to LGS and just play for fun with their friends at home. I wonder if this type of player base could keep some smaller games afloat.
