They also do Pap tests and mammograms. I used to go to Planned Parenthood for my cancer screenings when I didn't have health insurance because it was pay-what-you-can. They do so much important work that goes beyond abortion care. (It's also worth noting that I have PCOS and their bedside manner was better than the doctors I saw... they took my symptoms seriously and didn't minimize my pain and discomfort.)

When I was young, I went to my GP to get the pill. He looked at me and said I was too young. I was 17. I went to a family planning clinic and there, they didn't judge me. These clinics need to be funded.
Plan Parenthood was the first experience I had as a young women in getting gynecology screenings. As a college student back in the 80's, I couldn't afford medical care, they helped me with necessary screenings at little to no cost.
This is so calming. Real people talking about real and important aspects of their lives. Kamala has a way of making people comfortable. She's not above them. First time reader and I'll be back.

Great conversation. My first gynecological examination along with a plan for birth control was at Planned Parenthood in my early 20’s. I am now 66 and a mother. I felt so safe and comfortable when I walked into the doors of Planned Parenthood.

When I was a young and uninsured college student, PP was a life saver!! Exams, meds and condoms all for a very low price. I don’t know what I would of done without them.
My first GYN exam was at PP and years later as a Nurse Midwife , my first job was for PP. such an incredible organization!
Mine too! The funny thing was that the woman who had been the RN at my pediatrician's office was the LNP at Planned Parenthood. She already knew me!

When I was young, I went to my GP to get the pill. He looked at me and said I was too young. I was 17. I went to a family planning clinic and there, they didn't judge me. These clinics need to be funded.

Plan Parenthood was the first experience I had as a young women in getting gynecology screenings. As a college student back in the 80's, I couldn't afford medical care, they helped me with necessary screenings at little to no cost.

I lost so many friends. I had a blood transfusion in 1993. I went to a "friends" house for dinner, and I caught her throwing out my dishes. I can only imagine how crushing that must be for those who are sick.
