    Can you explain more about "oversights regarding the policy on devices"?

    • @barbadianaviation
      @barbadianaviation  Год назад

      They told us that earphones and devices were turned off but many people still had theirs on, and when FA's were doing checks they paid no attention to it

      @@barbadianaviation oh okay. That is a first I have heard of devices being turned off. I know airplane mode is the norm. Most other devices are built not to cause interference.

      @journeyswithj246 am happy that you mention about phones and other devices that are better with not causing interference, also aircraft wirings and avionics equipments are heavily shielded to where interference is not a problem anymore.

    So.....is it worth it? I think it would be comparable to most of the other airlines serving the route. Other airlines might at least offer you a water or a juice tho.

    • @barbadianaviation
      @barbadianaviation  Год назад +3

      I would opt for Caribbean (they only serve the route on Thursdays) and LIAT. the latter seems to be getting back on their feet and LIAT serves water. InterCaribbean is good if your dates are flexible and you're on time constraints. you can find fares a day or two before the flight. But if you choose them be aware that if there's a delay there isn't much communication

      Let not forget that this aircraft is a jet, it will get to BGI faster from ANU, the atr may do a cruise speed of 270knt, while this erj145 jet can do about 480knt, will get there in less that an hour, so no beverage served lol. The only passenger turboprop aircraft that can comes close to the erj145 speed is the Dash 8 Q400 from bombardier.

      Real short flight,it would be almost impossible to serve people in that time

      I've travelled with Inter Caribbean several times,never had bad service honestly found the airline to be a good deal. With any airline there will be delays from time to time but I do think they have improved their service tremendously from before.

    Its not worth it, when you've having delays after delays and than on top of delays cancelation, people getting frustrated of the inconvenience adding to the cost factor you're paying for small flights (30mins.)!

    Look how far they have to walk to the airplane so unsafe. Lawsuit waiting to happen.

    • @barbadianaviation

      I don’t think so.. it’s a short walk, nothing is going to happen

    • @bizziselln

      They still need to supply some sort of transportation to the aircraft that’s still a long walk to get onto an aircraft especially for people with mobility issues.
