When I was a kid, I totally wanted to fly every airline for a living. Seeing how exhausted you often are makes me feel a little less like that. On the other hand, I'm extremely happy to see your travels. By the way, I think the digital map you show at 2:00 is of Guyana and not Suriname. (Althoughm immediately after, you do have an outlined map of Suriname.) Thank you so much for your videos!
Behind you at 11:57 is the coat of arms of Trinidad & Tobago! The palm tree crest at the top of the coat of arms was taken from Tobago's coat of arms before it was joined in political union with Trinidad. The gold ships on the shield represent the three ships Christopher Columbus used on his voyage. The two birds on the shield are hummingbirds, but the two big birds supporting the shield are a scarlet ibis on the left, and the cocorico (also known as the Rufous-vented chachalac) on the right. These are the country's two national birds. Below the Scarlet Ibis are three hills, representing the Trinity Hills in southern Trinidad. The island below the cocorico represents Tobago. The scarlet ibis and the cocorico are birds also found in mainland South America. As Trinidad was once part of the South American mainland, many South American creatures call the island home. On their flag, red, white, and black symbolize fire, earth, and water. Red for fire for the island's warm sunshine and the courage of its people. Black for earth for the dedication of the people joined together by one strong bond, the color of strength, of unity of purpose, and of the wealth of the land. And white for water for the purity of aspirations and the equality of all. Like Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago also has a lot of Africans and Indians, with Indian laborers arriving after African abolition.
I just looked it up and if the flight you mention is 7-8 hours long, then the flight from Paramaribo to Amsterdam tops that at 9 hours seeing as Suriname is a Caribbean country.
My wife is a Trini so I’ve been through Piarco airport more times than I can count. I hope you get a chance to visit Trinidad properly one day Noel. It’s a beautiful country with amazing people. Come down for Carnival!
And, when you do visit there, be sure to go to the nearest Bake and Shark shack! Pelau looks de-lish, mainly because I love Jambalaya and "dirty rice". Doubles look good as does chow. Somehow marinating fruits such as pineapples in tangy marinades intrigues the hell out of me.
So Belém is the capital of the state of Pará, and Belém is the Portuguese name for Bethlehem! Initially the city was called Nossa Senhora de Belém do Grão-Pará or Our Lady of Bethlehem of Great Pará and the reason it was called that and just shortened to Belém because it was on Christmas Day that captain Francisco Caldeira Castelo Branco, who founded the city, left from São Luís in what's now the state of Maranhão in 1615 to conquer the lands of Pará and thus founded Belém in 1616. The reason Port of Spain on Trinidad is called such is because quite simply, when the Spanish got there, they named the settlement Puerto España. Christopher Columbus named the island Trinidad (though Arawaks called it Cairi) as part of fulfilling a vow he made before setting out on his third exploration voyage. Caribbean Airlines is state-owned with the Trinidad & Tobago government owning a majority of it, with the Jamaican government also owning a percentage. It is the flag carrier of Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and Guyana! It has a hummingbird as their mascot as Trinidad is known as the Land of the Hummingbird!

Your photo is of Georgetown University in Washington DC, not George Town, Cayman Islands.
Glad you came to 🇹🇹 Trinidad big fan here
You featured my country Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹. I hope it was a pleasant flight
Great video Noel! Wow a Caribbean Airlines 737 MAX 8 🇹🇹 and then an American 737 MAX 8 🇺🇸Super Cool, WHAT A COOL STORY that’s for sure.
Glad you eventually made it back to the USA 🇺🇸 and out of Suriname 🇸🇷 though! 😮💨
Cheers mate! 🥂

Glad you enjoyed it
There is a United Airlines flight from POS to Houston Intercontinental but I do not know what day it is..
The being stranded in the Caribbean is a normal thing... Especially if you are in the islands of Grenada, St. Vincent, Dominica.. Welcome to the aviation struggles of being in the Caribbean...
Great vlog as always! Old pilot proverb; always expect the unexpected… Keep up the good work my friend!
Glad you enjoyed it!
video time 22:36 is not suriname that is the map of GUYANA sir?
The art work at Houston Airport is amazing.
The map you use for Suriname is actually Guyana, twice. The image of Georgetown is actually Georgetown, Washington DC. Small things count.
I saw UR-CEZ when flying out of Birmingham in September, blooming thing gets about a bit!
Happy Holidays too!🦃🎅👼❤
Thanks for sharing Noel ... I hope everything is well with you and your famliy ..
When flying is the only option considered, options will often appear to be limited...
I bet Suriname does have other communications than flights.
Wow! Keep it going! Love your vlogs!!!! Very interesting and useful!
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow, what a great trip !! You visited some really cool places. I'd barely heard of Surinam and never seen it so that was nice. Too bad you got stuck there but it allowed you to visit around and I'm sure it was fun, that country looked quite clean and trim. And what a cool shot for any plane spotter like me, at 13:45 you passed by a Cavok AN-12 was it ??
Trinidadian here. I can confirm that a Cavok. They fly in and out of the island a few times a month
Impressive work load, Noel. Knowing that travels are mostly waiting, queues, timelimits and quite a lot of stress in between the killing of time. Glad I can watch from the couch :-)
Went through Miami once and it was horrendous going from international to domestic.
I never remind security that I have already been checked. Often makes them suspicious,.
Gol fly to Belem from PMB very reasonable prices.French Guyana is even worse , locals fly up to Paris and back to Brazil just to cross the border however Air France is introducing a cross border flight soon.
