Them duetting at the end seems to foreshadow there was something they were “thinking about” that would become reality.

Their friendship spans at least four, if not five, decades!

This is a wicked tune. Her voice is not that bad. Maybe one flat note but she’s a great singer and an unbelievable writer. If people knew how many people she has influenced. Check out Terrence Howard singing along the whole thing is pretty cool. She was surprised to hear James Taylor coming out after the song bridge.

She is telling him that she has been and always will be his friend, isn't it beautiful?

What’s even more is the fact that they sing it together when they’re together.

You HAVE to check out the new documentary out there about them. It’s called Just Call Out My Name - after the line in this song. It’s interviews, flashbacks through time and concert footage from a show on the world tour that they did. This song is towards the end (as is typical placement) - I saw the world tour that they did when it came near me. You’ve Got a Friend closed the show before they came back out for the encores.

Yeah, but her smile and eyes look the same as on those family videos when at the age of 4 she was sitting at the piano. Almost 70 years later it hasn’t change. Show your pic taken in your childhood and when you turn 70 ask ppl (not the family) how much they differ.

@@martingardner9124 You’re right 👍🏼I knew she was born in 1942 so I guess either I meant ‘more than 70’ or my maths is doing really bad 😁
