The writing in this video is so good. At first I was surprised how much of the video was prologue but it was super good to set up the foreshadowing as well as show how much you wanted the win. Great video!!!!
as someone who mains random in Rivals of Aether, it is actually beneficial if you are winning, because your opponent can't adapt fast enough, but a super disadvantage if you are losing because you can't adapt.
I've been a random main for Rivals 2 so far and it's a ton of fun, although I still need to put a ton more time into every character. Only getting a weekend once a month is largely to blame.
My favorite thing to do is to open an 1v1 arena and name it RandomOnly. Its like every game is a small new match type up i never thought about before. It really forces you to get better at fundamentals. Plus its hilarious seeing a spammy samus/young link trying to play captain falcon or Chrom.
Incredible video so glad I finally had the time to watch it. As an in person spectator it was awesome to see. Everyone had so much invested it's Incredible to see how much everyone wanted to win.
Don’t worry. As an 0-2er among 0-2ers, I used to feel like one of the best. In my high school esports year, I took 15 stocks in a crew battle once and would go on to get 2nd carrying my team. Now, I am washed but I have fun with my character crisis. I used to dominate with Jigglypuff but switched to Fox/Falco, then replaced falco with gnw, then replaced gnw with the shotos. I have found some success with the shotos but I still am yet to win a set. I am currently 0-16 in set count.
Having peach as a main is probably the best for maining random, because she's probably one of the most weirdly controlled characters. I've "mained" random for a long time, but I need more focus into my weird controlled characters Peach, Kazuya, Min Min, and Mega Man. Can't do a single combo with any of them, but I got decent fundies, so I have decent winrates with them anyway. (peach and Bayo took me the longest to get into Elite smash, but Bayo was easily learned for me)
What you said about fundies made me think about how I should try playing other characters. Which I have but it's clear that I have too much of a Bowser brain because I only see the game from that characters perspective. When I've tried other characters in bracket I was nearly losing and sometimes even losing to some of the worst people at my locals. Which goes to show I need to get a better understanding of the game more by playing other characters.
I was definitely Daisy brained before I started playing other characters. I still think it's good to have a set main that you can go back to, but learning the game through the perspective of other characters can definitely help to give you a more broad understanding of the game which I think is important.
This was why I decided to try and get other characters into elite, I didn’t want to only learn the game from one character’s perspective. This is partly the reason for why I picked up King K. Rool. He’s the second heaviest in the game so that gave me some familiarity, but his playstyle demands less grappling and more of trying to trap his opponents with projectiles and reading what they do afterwards. He’s the same character as bowser but at the same time he’s much different (also demanding some tech skill) which I feel helped me better understand the game as a whole.
To be honest, once you're done with your series, I think you could probably make a brand for yourself becoming an actual random main, I don't know who else would have a better chance at doing it for real
0-2er Summit was an all-timer. I really want to be a part of the one next year, although I don't think they'll let me enter it a second time haha! It's fine I'm more interested in being on the production side of things. Maybe I can help us get some skits next year!
Although I am not a random main, I think it’s really fun. Especially randoubles, which is the best game mode (except when there is only Simon and his relative)
when ever me and a couple pals open up an arena we usually just go random to make it fair for everyone (me and a friend are at a higher skill level then the others)
I only recommend maining random if you LOVE the game. If you are interested in knowing how to play them and not maining random, find the gameplay you like with the help of randomness and stick to it. If you play to win tho, you know the answer, just check the tierlists
Weirdly enough I also recommend random if you don't like the game so much (let me elaborate) I love smash and fighting games in general but I've generally found Ultimate to be an entry that disappointed me.. However playing random when we're running friendlies for hours or at the occasional tournament keeps it fresh :)
I have a couple comments. 1st: Congrats on getting every character in elite smash. 2nd: Congrats on getting into not only a Yeet Smash video, but also a Marss video, even if the reason why you got in the vids is a bit disappointing, it's still a bit of an accomplishment to me. 3rd: You're really pulling a Little Z by calling the whole roster some of your best characters lol. But then again, they kind of have to be to main random, so respect. 4th (Spoilers): Sorry you lost; I was rooting for you.
Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun and it was cool getting into Yeet Smash haha. Appreciate you rooting for me, hopefully I can do better at future tournaments!
Assuming you are just barely learning the character and in no particular order: 1. Peach/Daisy 2. Meta Knight 3. Bayonetta 4. Ice Climbers 5. Sheik 6. Steve (learning him is hard at first!) 7. Belmonts 8. Kazuya (it takes a minute to learn electric) 9. Greninja 10. Diddy Kong This list is subject to change as I go through my Character Crisis though.

Thank you that means so much to me! And hey I've gotta give it up to you, you were playing incredible that weekend well deserved victory
Random helps get a taste of all the character archetypes. You can also just let random roll the godly counterpick, which is hilarious
Sometimes I get the godly counterpick, sometimes I get Bayonetta
@@TuesdayTasticthe only 2 things that can happen from random are 1. You get something like pikachu against ganon, or 2. you get ganon

@@TuesdayTastic im still playing rivals 1, i forgot to back it.
I like how when you choose random, it basically forces you to make a change in your play style
About this series in general, the least you have to take away from all characters is atleast a few meatch-up-independent weaknesses
It's definitely helping me see some flaws in my gameplay that I can improve upon.

Great job Tuesday! Can't wait to see you main Sans- I mean Mii Gunner
Now that I've done Mii Swordfighter they are now my least played character. Excited to learn Sans as well, I mean Mii Gunner of course.
Congrats on popping up on my recommended! I hoped you had a lot of fun, and hope you reach your sub goal sooner rather than later! ❤
I hope so too!
God, how does this man have less than 10k subs. These videos are so well made and entertaining. Good luck on that sub count!
It’s so annoying that you can’t pick random online and you have to use an alternate site
Very inspirational man, well done!
Incredible video so glad I finally had the time to watch it. As an in person spectator it was awesome to see. Everyone had so much invested it's Incredible to see how much everyone wanted to win.
It was a special event I'm so happy I was a part of it
I remember playing Smash on the WiiU with you at Snow. Glad to see your still crushing. Can't wait to see your Byleth
Ah the good old days. I still miss Smash 4 Marth. I'm glad you remember me!
24:40 And then there's Taste. He's dead.

Maining her has definitely been huge for this series. Since she was such a technical character, everyone else feels easy by comparison.
Happy I got included in the video even if it’s me getting destroyed!
Happens to the best of us, I got destroyed by Tilde the other day lol
popping off on random is crazy work

I do need to finish my series first to help me get all my characters up to a good skill level first but it would be cool to say lol
My older brother plays random, and there's a reason he has a 15-1 (my favor) win ratio against me
Playing random doesn't necessarily mean you want to win. (Although I tried my hardest haha)
28:45 I think I did pretty well on comms considering I was well into an all-nighter. That whole tournament was a great event

How I fixed character crisis " this guy looks funny" "my dad used to play this guy on brawl when I was a kid"
As a Belmont main I know the feeling of that SD all to well.
It hurt
Let’s go! It’s time for Byleth now
Phenomenal intro
Although I am not a random main, I think it’s really fun. Especially randoubles, which is the best game mode (except when there is only Simon and his relative)
Randubs is awesome, one of my favorite ways to play. I once was at my local until 5 am just grinding that haha
I've played random since literally 2006
Even if it was just a few minutes, the bayo gameplay was so fun to watch. Dont worry i still SD at 0% as bayo after over 1000 hrs in ultimate lol
Bayo tax is real and I had to pay it this week
This is inspiring.
when ever me and a couple pals open up an arena we usually just go random to make it fair for everyone (me and a friend are at a higher skill level then the others)
I too am a Daisy main who doesn't want to play Daisy anymore. I will subscribe on these terms
I still love Daisy but I couldn't help but wonder if I was missing out on someone.

I was actually watching Marss analyze that clip the other day but I didn't notice you were the Dedede in it lol
Tbf he is blocking my camera
Hope to see you main Corrin one day!
One of my oldest practice partners has mained them since the beginning so I'll have good help when I get there!

I think you miiiiight just be having a character crisis
YOOO IT'S MY MAIN
27:09 damnit
The Little Z reference at 27:37?
Edit: The Little Z reference at 28:05?
Gotta do the proofblock and top 10 hardest characters

When does he stream, I know it's on Tuesday but is it every Tuesday?
My stream schedule is out of wack right now. I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm going to go live in a bit though.
