More than the speed it's the enemy's aggro on the sparrow. That less aggro perk should be given to other sparrows as well. Designing a mechanic around 1 sparrow isn't a good game design.
I watched my friend’s do this dungeon blind, and felt bad because none of them have AoT. They were basically at a forced disadvantage because the enemies just toasted them every time
@Rev an Had a similar issue until I learned to dodge and juke their fire. The only difficulty I'm having is the damn jumper at the end. I always get just banked into a wall, despite dropping the acceleration the same moment as itzTizzle here. Such a bullshit mechanic..

I swapped to a Salvager's Salvo (blinding nade+autoloader probably a lot better than Salvager's) and Sword for after killing the Ogre boss, everytime I got to a mine I would get off and Salvager's with Chain Reaction + Icarus Grip and use a sword wing if I really had to do, sword isn't necessary to be honest but can help out a wonky landing on the final mine. People use Gally instead of a nade launcher which is fine but I wasn't risking any danger close incidents haha.
I'm using the same route and neither of the cannons shoot me far enough. Both launch me under the eye and under the mouth for the right one. I've tried boosting, not boosting, hopping off at the end and nothing works. Can do everything solo except this encounter.

some advice to make guides clearer: 1) Describe the entire route first and then 2) Describe each step as you're going through it In the video your commentary is way ahead of where the action is and it's confusing

Did they mess the portals at the end of the sparrow run up or something....Ever since they fixed the final boss glitch my sparrow wont make the jump through the portal in the sparrow section of the dungeon?
This is why aot either needs to be nerfed, have all 160s up to its speed, or give all raid and/or dungeon sparrows the same effect. I have retrocausality but not aot (haven’t bothered getting it yet) and I think it’s kind of unfair for it to not have the same speed bonus, you have to put effort in to specifically get it unlike aot which was a random drop/can be gotten with farmed spoils. I’d also argue the master dungeon sparrow and prophecy sparrow should get the same effect but it’s ridiculous to me that only one sparrow in the game has this effect
I was really surprised that the Retrocausality in particular doesn’t get a similar bonus, especially since you have to all survive on those slow ass pikes in order to even get the thing.
Sometimes my sparrow just explodes when landing in the skull, even if I just respawned my sparrow. Any tips to avoid that? This shit just cost me my solo flawless attempt
Nah it is just super unlucky. Sorry to hear. It has happened to me too. Try taking the lower booster instead. Seems to be a bit safer. And an eager edge sword so you can jump off and sword swing for extra safety
ill be using this. I'm confident i can do bosses n stuff no problem, esp with the buffs to void and solar that came with their reworks, but holy crap its beating those boss sections and failing a fucking sparrow jump that make tryna flawless this so goddamn infuriating.
Just so you know, boss room is bugged right now. So maybe wait till bungie announces a fix before attempting! But hope the sparrow route helps you get it when the time comes!

IMO left man cannon just bugs out way too much. Either you missing the eye completely or you go too high and hit the crystal in the ceiling causing a insta death or you don't hit the button and it takes too much time to get to and if you don't get the button its a very slim chance you auctly make it. I am speaking as an experienced player who has a solo flawless GoA

Accelerate when going into the portal and stop when in air the sparrow won’t blow up

You missed one of the easy time extenders before A, stay on the right and jump over the plane towards A and you'll hit it.

At B, jump off before it blows up and run up like 20 feet. Worked for me
