Ofcourse , you dont cook in the car , this was just an idea that can be done , but dont do it please . Rather , you can do the similar arrangement in the boot , standing and cooking , OR even best is take it out , put it on a portable foldable small table , to the your comfortable height , ....... and you go .... Happy and safe camping .... This man is a great man with the engineering ideas , To Do , Can Do attitude . Very good job , Mate ..... hattttttts offffff to you dr br . :)
I'd been giving thought to doing this very thing to my car but I wasn't certain how it would look, now I'll not be able to resist!!! Thank you ever so much, this is awesome!!!
I was trying to figure out how to do this until I saw your video. thank you very much for posting your idea I'm going to implement it in my own vehicle
This is a great setup! You could replace the stove area with a small compost toilet, then take out the back seat fully and put in a cooler, and stove on a swivvle on one side of the boot , and an area for boxed storage on the other
Sedans are okay but station wagons are exceptional. I got xc70 Volvo awd for the same project - easy and inexpensive. Great simple convertion! Tnx for sharing and filming)
I'm a carny, on the road for 9 months of the year and will probably be doing this to my prelude thanks for the idea this is what I originally had in mind just didn't want to do it without seeing some success prior 😁
I needed to see this, on this exact date. I've got one more day to decide what direction my life is taking, and wanted to live in my car, but not to comfortable in the leaned back, drivers seat of a Cadillac CTS. So, I'm hoping now, I can find someone watch your video, and help change my car to my home, thank you.
This is great. Finally a build that doesn´t require the use of the trunk. My car has a Natural Gas tank in the trunk (an alternative and cheaper fuel we have in some third world countries), and this is great. My car is a 2007 Accord, I think it has similar dimensions and should work alright.
Thanks for all the good ideas. I'm looking for a way to 'camperize' my 2000 Toyota Echo. This should help. The Echo is so small though, I'll need to find a way to extend into the trunk and there are no fold-down rear seats. And for hot summer nights, I plan to get one of the portable fans that run off 18650 batteries. That'll end any risk of running down my car battery. Those who legitimately fret about cooking inside might want to store the stove in the back and use a clamping beach umbrellas to provide shelter from the rain. That's not as comfortable, but it is safer.
I was thinking of doing sumilar in my 1975 Holden Kingswood and decided to see what others had done. Apart from the stove, yours is how I pictured mine in my head. I dont plan on upholstering the wood for the sleeping base as I think I'll just use a swag on top. Ubder that bed frame looks great for storage. Good stuff buddy.
loved it.I have a sedan and can't take out the upper part of the back sick. I plan on living in my car in the near future. love your ideas so please keep them coming
Hahaha very cool, I had been wanting to make my car into a camp mobile, with camper stove in it also. I plan on just folding down my back seats, and sleep on that into the trunk space, and push my front seat to the front. Great video when I get mine figured out I will post it.
Some great ideas. I would probably nix using propane and do a convection hot plate. Buy a Jackery that can be charged while driving and then plug the convection into that for power.
Great work! I agree that cooking inside with an open flame can be dangerous, but my experience with an "outdoor" kitchen accessible only from the back of my van wasn't feasible. When it's snowing/raining it's either heat water inside or drive thru.
Haha, the stove was a horrible idea. I never actually used it in the car. I actually completely discarded this conversion and built a better and more practical one. Maybe one day I'll upload a vid.
Maybe replace the big stove with a backpacker’s stove, but make coffee or boil water outside. I would not want to cook in my car. That space could be for a side table or storage. I use a bag cooler that hangs over my seat. Happy trails.
Portable and cost efficient. Invest in a really good sleeping bag. You might want to just lay some foam under the back seat of your bed for some insulation for freezing nights
I invested in a -20 sleeping bag! It's wonderful. I've redone my camper car since I've made this video and I took it to Twin Lakes Colorado! It was -15 outside!!! I was toasty warm :)
Nice job but I think the cooking should be done in the back like 007craft did with his Honda Civic. You can use the propane stove inside for heat if needed but as with a Mr. Buddy heater you also need to keep a window open for fresh air.
One of the best "bed" setups I've seen in a car, however, a 2 burner stove in that small of an area would worry me. It would be better in the trunk, I think.... lid up & chuck box style.
Love this idea. I wonder could that bed frame be built on hinges or something so that it could be stored in the boot (trunk) "unfolded" and put in place. Basically so that the car can be converted anywhere/anytime.. I suppose storing the removed seats might then become the issue actually... Would love to see the video of the next one you did.
I enjoyed viewing your video about the conversion of your Toyota very much. I plan on copying the conversion as soon as it get warmer. Would you mind telling me a few measurements? I'm not able to remove my Toyota seats until later, I would greatly appreciate knowing the length of the front legs, and the length of the side 2 x 4's. Thanks
bed is nice, probably wouldnt permanently fix the stove to the frame, would store mine in the trunk, where did you put your passenger seat tho? i may want to sell my car later on
Is there any way you can please provide the instructions for this. I searched high and low for this video (I had seen it before and had to find it again to see this one). I want to make this as a temporary project for my conversion van until I am ready to build something more permanent. I just can't figure out the dimensions, what size wood I need to get cut from the store, etc. please share the details.
Thank you. Yes I store stuff under the bed. I've redone the whole thing since I uploaded this. I've been meaning to make another video but procrastination is crazy.
Hey guys the stove is ridiculous don't really do that lmao.
Ofcourse , you dont cook in the car , this was just an idea that can be done , but dont do it please .

I'm just dying at your comment ahahahaha. I love the creativity though!
Glad you said that! It's the carbon monoxide that will kill you and you won't know it's happening. Always cook outside! Nice conversation though
Finally!! A camper conversion for a sedan!! Great job !!!
Thank you!
+Jarrod El-Khouri pretty sick conversion bud. awesome part is all the storage space under the bed for pillows blankets and other necessities.
BrianaLanee' I
Love it. Straightforward, no pissing about. Job done. Brilliant job mate. Well done.
I love it! Just when i thought i was the only one thinking of doing this, you go to RUclips and realize that you're not alone. 💡🙌
Same here!
🙋♂️🙋♂️
I love it but I wouldn't put a stove in there...
I've watch so many RUclips videos and seen people living out the car struggling to be comfy this is a great idea!
Thank you!
You're welcome! I'm happy my video was useful to you. :)
Agree with u
This is a great setup! You could replace the stove area with a small compost toilet, then take out the back seat fully and put in a cooler, and stove on a swivvle on one side of the boot , and an area for boxed storage on the other
Great idea
Thanks you the ideas. I've used your idea and modified it for my car. Same with no plans but I used safe pallet wood for the frame. Sleeps great.
Sedans are okay but station wagons are exceptional. I got xc70 Volvo awd for the same project - easy and inexpensive. Great simple convertion! Tnx for sharing and filming)
Station wagons are the best for this!
I'm a carny, on the road for 9 months of the year and will probably be doing this to my prelude thanks for the idea this is what I originally had in mind just didn't want to do it without seeing some success prior 😁
How to have your car go up in flames in a few easy steps. All jokes aside if I was homeless this would be my house.
John Gaming and vlog channel english? 😂
Never seen one done like this before! How awesome! Thank you!
Very smart, efficient. I love it. Great job !
This is the quickest and easiest car build I've seen. Very ingenious! Thanks for sharing!!!
Excellent! The passenger bed platform idea is something that I wanted to see implemented and shared in a video. Thanks!
I needed to see this, on this exact date. I have a 4 dr Buick and I'm glad some had the same idea I had on the bed
Man this is some west coast customs shit......
Thanks, since I made this video I've made a completely new conversion that's better and more practical. I'll have to make a video about it...
Jarrod El-Khouri please do 👌🏾💓
Lol lol lol ...
still waiting for the new video
Thank for this video, I'm in the process of turning my car in to a camper and you gave me some good ideas.
Thanks for all the good ideas. I'm looking for a way to 'camperize' my 2000 Toyota Echo. This should help. Very simple and effective. It gave me a few ideas for my own set up also! Great vid!
I like that you filmed from a lot of angles, how you went in at 1:13. This is a great reference to see how someone would do this themselves 👍🏻
loved it.I have a sedan and can't take out the upper part of the back sick. I plan on living in my car in the near future. love your ideas so please keep them coming
So cool. I love your easy build. Very clever
This is an AMAZING conversion! Congrats
Lmao thanks. The stove is ridiculous.
DOPE AF!!! Wow, I will definitely be copying you. First one I've seen with stove setup. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Love it. I have the same car and was wondering how I am going to sleep in it in arizona. This works perfect. Thanks.
Well done! This demonstration gave me a lot of ideas for my 2007 Toyota Yairs.😁👍
Hahaha very cool, I had been wanting to make my car into a camp mobile, with camper stove in it also. I plan on just folding down my back seats, and sleep on that into the trunk space, and push my front seat to the front. Great video when I get mine figured out I will post it.
Yep
Easy and to the point. Plus u got storage in the trunk. If you have to live in a car, this is the way. Great video.
Thank you.
Wow amazing! Thanks for sharing, those are great ideas! 👍👍
Some great ideas. I would probably nix using propane and do a convection hot plate. Buy a Jackery that can be charged while driving and then plug the convection into that for power.
I was going to build something in the trunk of my Corolla, your video changed my mind, thanks a lot, I subscribed!
Did you end up building this for your Corolla?
Dude you the man from. I love the easy diy setup
wow, amazing design , i love it
Excellent job the best I have seen bed problem solved
Good job. Thank you for sharing!
Love this idea! ♡ thank you for sharing.
Brilliant!! I will use your plan. Thanks
Great work! I agree that cooking inside with an open flame can be dangerous, but my experience with an "outdoor" kitchen accessible only from the back of my van wasn't feasible. When it's snowing/raining it's either heat water inside or drive thru.
Man you're the genius! Especially with that bug screen! Hey, how many nights the most you slept in it, and was it comfortable?
It looks good, but I think the stove is a bad idea. You have not included a fire extinguisher.
Haha, the stove was a horrible idea. I never actually used it in the car. I actually completely discarded this conversion and built a better and more practical one. Maybe one day I'll upload a vid.
Jarrod... simple great idea, good job! :)
Yes please. Let's see the updated version1
Maybe replace the big stove with a backpacker’s stove, but make coffee or boil water outside. I would not want to cook in my car. That space could be for a side table or storage. I use a bag cooler that hangs over my seat. Happy trails.
Good idea, I use the empty space ( stove space) to put a toilet or something to make my thing. Congrats!
like your style ,very functional
I don't like eating in my car so the stove would be replaced with a camper toilet. But I still love your set up
4:12 "I can jump up and down on this bed"
My dirty mind: 👁️👄👁️
Thank you for inspiring me man. Honestly thank you.
Thanks for the video! Will you do a video on the updated version now please?
Ahhhhhhh Yes but procrastination is king right now :0
Ha, I love it. Time to load up on drive thru coupons and disposable napkins. I am not paying rent anymore!!
That is oriented strand board, sometimes called chip board. It is much cheaper than plywood. Nice build!.
Man that's good stuff well done!
Loving it! Doing it!
Best video yet!
I live in my car, I been thinking it must be possible to make a bed from wood construction to sleep flat. Your idea is what I had in mind thank you.
Bravo, been wanting to see someone with the same idea. You did a great job. Now if we can just find a way to make room for kids and pets. ;)
Very nice job !
Awesome job
Omg you’re so ingenious.
Great job!👌
Take the front passenger seat out too. What u need that for? Use it for extra space in increase the fuel economy with less weight!
super nice bro..... super effective.....
Thanks mate you solve my problem
i love the bug screens!
Thank you.
Interesting ideas
Nice job but I think the cooking should be done in the back like 007craft did with his Honda Civic. You can use the propane stove inside for heat if needed but as with a Mr. Buddy heater you also need to keep a window open for fresh air.
Awesome job!
Dude, YOU get an A+++++++++
Any adventures in this vein, pre-pandemic?
This pandemic hasn't affected me. I've been on many of adventure.
Very creative...even room 4 a pop'up porta'potty. 😁
Good job
One of the best "bed" setups I've seen in a car, however, a 2 burner stove in that small of an area would worry me. It would be better in the trunk, I think.... lid up & chuck box style.
You're absolutely right! I never even used this setup. I made a better more refined one without the stove. Cheers!
Amazing! I’m about to take my rear seats out
Love this idea.
Can you access the trunk from the back seat? That would be extra awesome.
+cuddlesanddaisy Yes you can! Just press a button above the rear headrest and the seats fold down for easy trunk access. 60/40 split. :)
That was Awesome!!!! THANKS
This is kinda cool im thinking of doing that conversion on My Volvo 850
Question, does the passenger side back seats fold down to gain access to the trunk while the sleeping conversion is in..... Great job!!
Those shoes though. 😂😂😂😂
you are amazing young man good job 👍
Man you killed it.. thanks alot!
thanks for sharing your idea
Very clever. Thx for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks
Did you ever do it Bill?
Great work, great idea
You know.. I'm impressed. ;)
Amazing!!
Brilliant video...wow..love it...
Honda fit can do that too, except the stove thing.
how many feet long is that can sum one 6'4 sleep in there awsome idea and build
That's wonderful job , Mate . and you still have your boot empty …. :)
bed is nice, probably wouldnt permanently fix the stove to the frame, would store mine in the trunk, where did you put your passenger seat tho? i may want to sell my car later on
Good job.
Thanks!
*Good job. 😁😁😁*
Best part was the bug screens.
Is there any way you can please provide the instructions for this. I searched high and low for this video (I had seen it before and had to find it again to see this one). I just can't figure out the dimensions, what size wood I need to get cut from the store, etc. please share the details.
Sooooo amazzin....good job....
Will U store anything under the bed?
I love how everything comes out, that's awesome. Cool video and great ideas, thanks! :)
Thank you. Yes I store stuff under the bed. I've redone the whole thing since I uploaded this. I've been meaning to make another video but procrastination is crazy.
